There were some heavy fluctuations of mining profitability since the NH hack. It was two times more profitable to mine XMR on 5th of December than now, hence the difference. Most likely Kryptex wasn't even mining XMR when it was in full mode.

Idk what a "16GB CPU" is but you'd probably want to a GPU to at least pay for the electricity cost, or mine any meaningful amount.

Balance consists of the following parts:
1. Unconfirmed solutions
2. Confirmed solutions
3. Bitcoins
Solutions is a metric we use to show the amount of work done by your computer. Solution concept is equivalent of "share" when mining in a pool.
Unconfirmed solutions become confirmed as soon as the work is confirmed (like when shares are confirmed on a pool). Confirmed solutions are then converted to bitcoins as soon as their value reach 0.00002 BTC.
They have no fixed exchange rate, as each solution has a different bitcoin value (think of this like of shares with vardiff). You can see the value of all solutions on the "Balance" page.
It's complex, we know. We'll remove solutions from Kryptex soon, and there will be only bitcoins.
The whole process of converting solutions to bitcoins just represents the internals of our system.
This process is mostly pointless to a user, as solutions are converted to bitcoins pretty fast: usually it takes no more than one day.

It depends on your GPU memory manufacturer. You can check it with GPU-Z. There are three types Micron, Samsung and Hynix. Different memory needs different overcklocking configuration.

Try to disable antivirus and reinstall Kryptex. Then check "Open miner windows" under settings and run benchmark. If there are any problems they should be indicated by miners.
Definitely worth looking into. The only thing to bear in mind is that ETH mining won't be possible after the 2.0 update so it's slightly unclear what will happen then. Obviously, there's plenty of other coins to mine, though, and RVN is currently super profitable.
I use my 3060 for gaming anyway so it's no skin off my nose if mining isn't profitable for years and years. I guess that's up to you to decide for yourself. Check out this website to see what the most profitable cards are. What's more important, though, is your return on investment. Some of the cheaper cards pay for themselves over a really short time frame so might be worth looking into.

For safety you should use full TDP of your cards while making calculations of a PSU.
The page https://www.kryptex.org/en/hardware/nvidia-gtx-1660-super shows data for a gpu tuned for mining ethereum. The real TDP of this card is 125W.
My proposal for power calculations is as follows:
- Get the TDP of your card (225W for 5700 XT)
- Add 100W for CPU, motherboard, mem etc (depends on CPU power but generally speaking it is OK for consumer grade CPUs)
- Add 20% on top (this is for PSU efficiency - it is about 80%)
So it will be 390W for you. A 400W PSU will do.
By the way - you may also connect both of your cards for mining. Get a riser if you have not got enough space in the case. But you will need a 550W PSU.
Hey! 24 mh/s is an indicator without updating the BIOS firmware and overclocking. Using this you can get 30 mh/s on ETH. I advise you to read about overclocking, for example here.
- solo/pool are identical in long term
- buying coins = 'avoiding no payback' risk
- use calculators online (ie, whattomine or kryptex). 6x588 will grant you ~220-230 usd/mo at the current profitability
- network speed is not important, ping and connection stability are. properly tuned 580 eats up to 75-80w, the rest system up to 100w; all combined not more than 650w. use that combined with the hashrate and electricity price to get the revenue
- you may try some search around the community. tbh, it's better to wait for some time for mining-gpu prices to cool down and get, let's say, a money-efficient 5700's later

How to mine ETH?
- Choose a pool to mine ETH. There are a lot of them, most of them use outdated code and don't recieve the full reward.
- Choose a wallet to store all your coins. You can't trust exchanges or wallets that don't give you your private keys. You have to memorize or keep in secure place your private key. No private key = no money.
- Choose a miner to mine ETH. Claymore or Phoenix or something else?
- Spend a lot of time with settings and .bat files.
- Realize that there are more profitable coins for your GPU.
- Realize that you can increase your total profit by mining Monero on your CPU.
- Spend a lot more time to find out how to setup Monero mining.

There are two versions of RTX 3060. Early versions had software LHR so it could be overriden with 470.05 driver. Newer versions have hardware LHR and cannot work with 470.05 driver at all, they need 472.12 or later drivers. It seems you have a hardware LHR. So it can be only partially unlocked by some miner hacks.
Kryptex already incorporates several miners that has LHR unlock and it is applied automatically. You may check if some miners work a bit better for you. You may disable all other miners in settings.

like this whole site confuses me, I don't really need it, I hit the delta 8 cart and somehow my mistakes made it work... but it really feels like I'm not making as much compared to just mining with minexmr and xmr rig, but I do like the interface helping me with internals and power usage Do you think at 11 cent per kwh lets just say 12, running it 4 hours a day... wouldn't be too bad... I wouldn't be using my laptop for anything else, and hiveOS does it really have mobile? I've got a computer fan underneath my laptop, I keep it clean... and I'm saving for a stand alone rig that I can control...with my laptop... but until then, I just wanna help monero hash rate as much as I can...

this list is helpful but ive noticed the prices it thinks the gpus are going for are high compared to ebay.
A very important note is that the majority of people don't mine btc for profit, they'll mine something else, like Ethereum or Ravencoin, and use a program (forget the name) and convert it to btc, or just use the eth/rvn as is.

If you have a windows pc, install quadro drivers from nvidia official website, put the card in the 16x pcie slot and give it a go. If you don't have a pc, rent one for 3 hrs and check the hashrate. If you get decent hashrate, buy a cheap ass used pc and start mining.

Although I believe you would get more than 27 MH with proper overclocks. Use msi afterburner for overclocking on windows.
If you want to add more cards to your setup in the future, buy a pcie multiplier card ($25), risers, an atx psu splitter ($7), and add another psu to the same old mobo to run 4 to 6 cards, depending on your mobo.

PLEASE do this right. You're paying needlessly high electric bill, taxing your GPU with extreme heat, and not even getting nearly as high of a return/hash rate as you can.

Bad news, the top 3 cards for mining by payback time are 4GB cards. This thing will get inflated in price unless something else on this card makes it bad for mining. 4GB is not an issue for some profitable coins.

The other reason may be the drivers if you updated them. Latest drivers can have negative impact on mining speed. You may try to set high performance in Nvidia control panel or revert to an earlier driver version.
I use kryptex and so far is has been very good . Good support in terms of overclocking, active community, solid withdraws. I have a small rig with 3 x GPUs generating some $4 a day. I do not recommend CPU mining with ANY SOFTWARE MINING. If you a game computer you may have the initial power needed. I'm a long time linux user but I don't actually have any linux rigs RN, mostly because I have a Windows key for everything I mine on. I prefer Gminer and NBminer. They are very similar and between the 2 I can run whatever I need.
If you have a windows key, use that. If you do not, I would say try Hive OS if going the linux route.

Not only does this stop smaller players (gamers, small-time miners, etc) from getting their own GPUs, but there are many, many cards that will have a much quicker ROI than the 3080 Ti as well as many cards which get you more money per watt. You can parallelise. You are parallelising. Buying all these 3080 Tis makes them unavailable to gamers who actually benefit from having more power in a single card, while giving you less profit than the alternatives. Unless you got them for significantly under market value, this is a bad deal for everyone involved. These kinds of cards, at this moment in time, should be used by people who require the most power per single PCI-E socket because they only have one. Buying this many of them defeats the point because other options would give you more power for a lower price.

Integrated graphics is useless for mining so it will not even be detected by Kryptex as mining device. Your CPU should be able to mine something but it is useless too as cpu mining is profitable only for some newest and most powerful CPUs. Older CPUs just consume more electricity than they earn. I suggest you upgrade to a newer version of T-Rex. The newer versions include memory junction temperatures in the reporting. Your overclock settings might be causing high memory temps, which are never a good thing.
The card is actually in my gaming rig right now but I'm guessing as this IS the internet and you said 65Mh/s is impossible then you have to be right....

Linux users are pretty skilled users are pretty skilled, they may run a miner themselves. https://www.kryptex.org/en/articles/kryptex-pools-direct-mining-en Linux is also not so widespread as Windows.
The best way to mine on Mac - is to sell a Mac and get windows system with several cards. Mining on Mac is not a good investment as payback times are way too long.
If someone tells you that mining on Android is a good idea - you may call him an idiot. Small and power-efficient CPUs in phones and tablets are not capable of making immense number of calculations needed for mining. But if he likes to see negative numbers of ROI - this is a fine chioce.
Based on my search, your hash rate is low.
You should be able to make $4-5 daily as long as Ethereum is active (and stays at the same price). After that, who knows how badly the income will tank.
The only thing that matters of your stats is your GPU. (Some CPUs can mine too, forgive me if I missed it.)
Be careful. Unplug the battery if you can. I read once that leaving the battery in can overheat the charging system, killing the battery and/or starting a fire.
Be careful of taxes, too. You get income when you mine it and capital gains when you sell it.
I would not say that it is a rig :) A rig has many GPUs. For mining 3800x and 32Gb RAM is a real overkill. But anyway - it is a fine PC.
Kryptex is the easiest way. I've been mining with it for about a year. It includes several miners already and configures them automatically. After you start you might want to overclock your card. You may take numbers from https://www.kryptex.org/en/overclocking?device=AMD+RX+5700+XT&algo=all&order=rating as a reference.
I would check https://www.kryptex.org/en/best-gpus-for-mining sometimes. For now it seems more profitable to mine RVN on your cards. But it is not a constant thing.
The main difficulty with these cards is that the most profitable coin for them may change frequently. And overclocking settings for ETH and RVN are different. So Kryptex app may be confused with that.
So my way to tune them for best performance would be something like:
- Turn on ETH only in settings
- Overclock your GPUs for ETH (Mining Overclocking Database might help)
- Note the profit on that settings
- Do the same for RVN.
- Compare profits and let Kryptex run on that algorithm. Disable all others.
It might be a bit more profitable but the bad thing about that is that you need to watch profits yourself as it is overriding Kryptex's automatic algorithm for choosing the most profitable coin.
The other way is to make settings for your cards "average" between ETH and RVN and rerun benchmark after that. If you do that - Kryptex will know what is the best algorithm for your setup at every moment and will switch them accordingly. No hassle with manual algorithm selection but a bit less income and a bit higher consumption.
Open %appdata%\Kryptex\miners folder. The logs for all the miners are there. If you look at the logs - they might tell you the error. Usually it is about low pagefile size.
It sounds like your page file isn't big enough. It looks like its asking for ram, not vram. Follow the link below which talks about page file size required for etherminig. Good luck!

As for mining on a laptop - it is not recommended as laptops usually do not have a fine cooling. You may try but watch the temperature.
Because it mines Ravencoin (kawpow algorithm) and its hashrate is usually about half of Ethereum (Daggerhashimoto ETH). Anyway - they are different and cannot be compared.
One more thing is about a version of your card.

3060 has two versions. the old (v.1) version have software LHR and can be unlocked to 100% power. There are 3 things to make 3060 work on full hashrate:
- Your card should be plugged to pcie 16x version 3.0 or higher
- Special driver 470.05 should be installed
- Monitor or dummy should be plugged
New version (v.2) have hardware LHR and cannot run with 470.05 driver. So it cannot be unlocked to 100%.
For v.2 Kryptex incorporates NBminer. It can unlock about 68-70% of hashpower. LHR locks it at obout 50% so NBminer gives 18-20%. Maybe the developers will be able to unlock some more in future.
Anyway I suggest you to find your card on the overclocking database and look for a fine profile for it. It looks that it works at stock settings. Tuning it for mining should make it cool and quiet.
First I would re-check the "standard" problem list on rejected/incorrect shares.
As it is a second card - I would bet on a faulty riser as they may give a bunch of different problems. To check that you may swap the cards. If the card works well on your first slot then it should be fine.
Something goes wrong for sure. If you have 70% of rejected solutioons - you don't get 70% of profit!

I cant find anything specific. that gpu chip should be absolutely fine. the last thing I can think of is making the page file size larger. follow this site as long as ur on windows. if that doesn't work, there is definitely a program or setting limiting the hashrate somehow, but with 100% load idk what would be doing that. try old drivers, new drivers, idk. def try the pagefile size tho

As for 3080 you may see overclocking 3080 for mining in our overclocking database. Usually it may give 100mhs. But you should also use HWINFO or GPUz and make sure that your mem is under 95 degrees. The datasheet says that 95 degrees is the max temp for this type of memory for normal operation.

Used/Scalper price will still be fixed on how much money you can make with mining I think. Crypto market went from $2T to $1.3T which should bring the prices down but still not to original prices. Most prices are still around 300-500 days to brake even. For most people if a product that can work for years breaking even on 400 days thats not a bad investment. Unless these cryptos crash or gpus ability to mine cryptos disabled(not very likely since there are altcoins) prices will stay more expensive than stock prices.

Well, it is not a very good idea to mine a laptop. They usually have poor cooling systems. As for now mining profit has decreased (it was much higher in February - April).

We have some data on the best gpus for mining table. If you click on a GPU it will take you to the page that shows average power consumption. But I think you should better use max TDP of the card you are buying. It would be safer.
Well, Kryptex is for mining, not storing. If you mine you may store funds on Kryptex account but if you stop mining the account will be deleted after 6 months of inactivity.

Check "open miner windows" under settings and then Re-run benchmark again. In the popping up miner windows you may see some errors which might help you to understand the problem.

I am not an expert but you could watch a tutorial on how to mine from Ethermine, how to use a miner tool to mine from the pool (Ethermine) and finally look for the optimal settings for the 2080 super
In my case the best settings are -50 clock frequency, power limit 50% and memory clock +1300, and I am getting 43 MH/s which is what determines how much you mine
