hatter, keep in mind that plane ticket prices from anywhere other than LAX / SFO are really expensive... especially in summer.

$1200 per person for a long weekend... just to get there.
Google Maps is plugged into the City's API so it has the same data on bus arrival, though you can't see actual location. IF you get DaBus2 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gov.honolulu.dabus2&hl=en_US https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dabus2-the-oahu-bus-app/id1117179614?mt=8
You can see the GPS location on the bus, with about a minute or so delay
a car is always the best option. renting an economy car from the 2nd through the 8th is only $162 from hertz.
you could save a couple bucks (emphasis on a couple) by renting something through turo, like this 2003 corolla for $138
if you're staying in waikiki, parking actually might cost more per day than the rental, so i'd check the parking situation out.
if parking is scarce or expensive turo might be a better option since you can probably have them meet you at your hotel and just use the car for one or two days. factor in the cost of getting to/from the airport though...
uber is a thing but i'd venture to guess it will end up costing you more than $25 a day ubering everywhere.
You can use this waze tool, it predicts rush hour traffic and adjusts ETA accordingly. https://www.waze.com/live-map/directions?utm_source=website&utm_medium=homepage&utm_campaign=iframe+module&time=1626195600000
like this one, https://smile.amazon.com/Tracki-Magnetic-Required-Worldwide-Motorcycles/dp/B07N4DHFZM
or Apple Air tag but that doesn't have GPS.
Not normal! Move and then if you encounter a minor problem later [these] should do the trick. A combination of these bait traps plus these granules worked for me in a similar situation when I had a deadbeat landlord and relentlessly filthy neighbors in an apartment complex I lived in. It did take a few weeks to really start working so not an immediate fix.
Also, if you do move, it's highly likely you will take the bugs with you if you are not careful and diligent about it. They will thrive in cardboard boxes.
Word of Advice, pick up this little device and keep it on Moped while in use. Hide it somewhere on the moped. If it stolen, just text it for GPS coordinates.
FYI: AppleTags don't use GPS so won't work for this.
The police are granted their power from the Constitution, the supreme law of the land. The Constitution doesn't allow them to take wealth from the citizens without just compensation, this is known as imminent domain. There is a word for getting power from the Constitution and then operating outside if it.
Unfortunately it's not just the police that do this, but quite often the judicial industry as well (judges). The Supreme Court justices are not immune from this proclivity, for example their interpretation of the expansiveness of the commerce clause in Gonzales v Raich is intentionally faulty, the commerce clause simply does not reach that far.
But outlawing Marijuana, and making it a Schedule I, done by the executive branch after the Supreme Court granted them prohibition power through their wide interpretation of the commerce clause, has been very profitable for powerful interests, including organized rationally self-interested police trade organizations.
Extreme inequality. Keep people so poor they don't have the extra time or energy to advocate for themselves. If the minimum wage had kept up with wallstreet bonuses it would be at $44. I think the term capitalistic slavery has a lot of explanatory value here.
Is there anywhere you can set up a trail cam? Like what hunters use, they run on battery, cost around $50, work in low light, and start recording when they sense movement. You’d have to be careful that it isn’t seen so that it won’t get stolen.

Absolutely. I need no persuading when it comes to roasting my own beans. It's like a no-brainer: a bag of unroasted beans is cheaper, you only roast what you need and so your beans have not lost their flavor due to age, you can roast it exactly the way you want it, etc.
P.S. Amazon has your roaster and with Prime, shipping is free:

It's only 10' above sea level, but works well 90% of the time. Not many obstacles between here and Makakilo.
When I lived in Makiki, nothing pulled in the Makakilo stations.
