I like these USB Mirror Taps that pull power from the rear view mirror. Typically this is the area one would mount a dash cam. It makes for a tidy solution. https://www.amazon.com/Two-prong-Universal-Dashcam-Adapter-MicroUSB/dp/B07BFRWC3X/ref=sr\_1\_15?dchild=1&keywords=mirror+tap&qid=1623871556&sr=8-15
I got one of these, and considered the rebates/tax credits that go along with installing a charger at home. Unit works well, and I use the scheduling feature that came with the charger.
Wow that looks really different to the Australian one.

Which also rates poorly but I don't mind it too much.
The one accessory I purchased was a console organizer (Amazon) to make better use of the deep center console.
Very curious though about some of these other tricks here. I'll have to check out storing the Foam box under the hood.
You can get a hardwire kit for your dashcam, instead of occupying a USB port. Here's the one I used. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXC2329/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_xne3QnsSBHWCP And I got this to have the proper fuse blade size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LFXA5YQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_xRAYa3iJkprex
I got some generic Hyundai sensors off amazon. 70 maple pesos for a 4 pack. Installed, drove a few hours or something. This is my second season with them pressure matches what I have on external gauge.
I have done it many times with the EVSE that came with my 2021 and it works great, if it didnt support working at 240V it would have broke the moment I plugged it in.
I bought this and wired in my own 5-15 end. https://www.amazon.ca/Veepeak-Replacement-Electrical-Connector-Extension/dp/B09Y91FBGF/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=3A1H8ZB7WSXNC&keywords=14-50+plug&qid=1667745515&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjE2IiwicXNhIjoiMy44NiIsInFzcCI6IjMuMTIifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=14-...
It wasnt too bad, most difficult thing was cutting the connector off of the old horn so I could reuse it. I put this kit in https://www.amazon.ca/HELLA-007424801-Twin-Trumpet-Bracket/dp/B000COBK8A/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=hella+horns&qid=1659633940&sprefix=hella+%2Caps%2C88&sr=8-8 and used a weatherproof relay instead of the one that came with the horns.
I've used this one on my Kona a few time to charge at Tesla destination chargers (level 2)...
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07V7V2QT8/
this is on amazon Canada... but I'm sure you kind find the same item on Amazon US.
Happened to me after owning a 2022 Kona EV for a month. The clicking sound you hear are relays attempting to use the little bit of juice that's left when the 12 V battery is dying. It's a common EV issue, not exclusive to Konas. At least, the key fob has a "mechanical" key that makes it possible to open the car, unlatch the hood and access the battery. ( There's a video somewhere from a Tesla owner who had to dismantle the front of the car to get to the battery after it had gone flat - no bueno.) I thought it was pretty funny that my car tells me literally EVERYTHING except for the status of that stupid 12 V battery so I resorted to this: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07WCW49YM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Super easy to put in and you can monitor your 12 V battery using an app via Bluetooth.
I just put a Yakima front loader (https://www.amazon.ca/Yakima-FrontLoader-Rooftop-Bike-Rack/dp/B003BAHTC8/ref=asc_df_B003BAHTC8/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292956799833&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17665621979708464833&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt...) on my car. It went on Thule aero bars. Fits great. Need to be pretty strong to get a bike on and off though, unless you have a lightweight road bike.
I bought a similar one off Amazon - same locking strap issue lol.
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00TRTSAZM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_title
I plasti-dipped the brackets because I didn't like the metal brackets attaching to paint, in case they wiggle due to vibrations.
Maybe snag the Petro Canada app. They have placed decent chargers all along Canada #1 across the country. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.petrocanada.evapp&hl=en\_US&gl=US
For what its worth (future readers), you need almost no power to get the battery to jump, so you don't really need a starter jumper. I had a small 12V SLA lying around and I was able to jump with a couple alligator clips. In case anyone wants to spend $23 instead of a $80-$100.
You can make it work with a relay and inline fuse, I installed this upgrade kit and the horn is now properly loud.
Just bought one of these on a recommendation on an Australian Kona EV site - says he has had this brand (not sure of the model) for a couple of years with no dramas. I also read that there were issues every time the iOS had an update and he replied that he had not experienced any problems at all. Still waiting for mine, so can't give you personal recommendation, but I have ordered it.
I have the same setup at my house. My "lectron" was the culprit. I would put the attachment on and insert it and the Tesla charger would click with a blue line while the Kona did a red light then if it's good it would turn to a moving green light on the Tesla charger and green on the Kona.
My issue when it wasn't working was water got into it. I went through two taps and went with this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09574B7HQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I keep it in the car and have had zero issues since. However, my error would be the blue light on the tesla going over and over clicking. It would click pretty loud for about 5 minutes. I have a 2019 Kona though and do not have the 'white' light.
I would love to see a chart that shows Kona's efficiency based on speed.
Got in over my head trying to figure it out myself using this:
https://www.omnicalculator.com/physics/drag-equation
Air Density is 1.225 (I think)
[Enter velocity in MPH]
Kona EV's Drag Coefficient is 0.29
I guessed at the area: 1697184 inches squared
At 65 MPH: 1606.2 N
At 70 MPH: 1862.8 N (which is 0.86% less efficient than going 65 MPH)
Again...I have no idea if that's correct, but I'd love to see a chart if someone has made one. It would help motivate me to go the speed limit to increase range.
I think the Hyundai tech missed a very likely source of the black colour. Mos2- or molybdenum bisulfide. https://www.amazon.ca/Liqui-Moly-2019-Anti-Friction-Lubricant/dp/B00CPL8UPY?th=1
Full synthetic is probably better but I'd bet a buck the black colour is mos2.
The one I got was WiFi Dashboard Camera, 1080P Dash Cam Video Recorder with 2.45" IPS Screen, 170° Wide Angle Dashcam with Night Vision, G-Sensor, Loop Recording, Motion Detection for Cars https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07CL2N588/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_PXB5Q6T678XECWMSBX3G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can also try this:
It monitors your battery over a period of time, the results are sent to an app on your phone via bluetooth. If the dealer is giving you a hard time over replacing the battery, you can provide proof that it's faulty with this gadget. I had to do this to prove it to my dealer. He replaced the battery for free.
This one is decent

I am using the OBDLink LX with an Android-phone. Tried a cheap ELM328 first but it didn't work so I went with the more expensive LX instead. I bought mine in Germany shipped to Sweden but here is a link to Amazon for reference.

Usually companies that have connected services will get SIM cards that can do roaming just about anywhere but keep the SIM remotely disabled until they need it. I'm guessing this is what happened here.
A European version of the BlueLink app is on the Google play store but not available in my region yet. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hyundai.bluelink.eu&hl=en
US and Canada have a completely different applications and i think they had remote connectivity on earlier versions of the Kona as well.
I hope we get some official statement from Hyundai. Information from the dealers is quite inconsistent.
Here is the one I got from the US Amazon store for my 2020 Kona EV, fits perfectly. Same item as in OP but for Amazon US. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B089GTW33K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Think you replied to me instead of /u/RogerPackinrod
I do have a 200a breakerbox at my place and already have a 50a system setup but swapped the breaker to a 40a so my electrician could install a 40a On/Off switch.
Do you have a source for a 50a On/Off switch? (that fits in the above picture)
Canada code is the same as USA on that one. 20A circuit max. I run a Nema 6-20 with 12 gauge wiring to a dual pole 20A circuit. For an EVSE I use this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07CYQV2VL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As others have said, you appear to have a Nema 6-20, which is what I have. That only requires 12 gauge wire and should only be a 20A breaker. That's how I have it setup at our vacation property.
I use this EVSE with that setup. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07CYQV2VL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It maxes out at 3.3 kw but works great
I haven't heard of them or used them but I'm sure it will work just fine. I've been using a cheap one I got on Amazon.ca for 12 months now, works great. No issues at all. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07DHFH8LW
From other threads, you'll have to notch your rear facia to accommodate the bar, cosmetic not structurally.
I suppose if you want to go full bore, you could order a new bumper 'cover', rear end, whatever from Sweden and not have a notch there.
Or use metal trim 'tape' to hide the cut parts?
Following your lead I found one that fits the kona perfectly. Thanks for that advice.

I am currently looking at the following one. There are no special rates for off peak demand where I live so I'm not concerned about getting one that is WiFi enabled for scheduled charging etc. I see one of the reviews is from someone else with a Kona so I imagine I am good to go with this thing.
