Use Waze because 80-90% of cops running radar are on there.
Save music and podcasts locally to your phone for rural areas in case you lose service. Similarly, use offline maps in Google Maps so you can navigate and reroute without service.
Keep nicotine gum in your car so that if you get too tired and start falling asleep at the wheel, you can use it to wake up long enough to find somewhere safe to pull over and rest. It will wake you up in about thirty seconds and wears off quickly once you stop chewing it so you can fall asleep. Even if you would never smoke or vape, consider this...the gum is not really harmful and it could save your life.
Get a lock box and pack it somewhere you can't reach it while driving. It is considered a separate search space in traffic stops and, should your car get searched, they can't open it without a warrant. If it is a combo lock or password (something you know), the Fifth Amendment protects you from having to open it under any circumstances.

Drive safe and see you there!
the current forecast looks pretty cool for LL too, really around 8am you can open up the tent door and let a cool breeze flow through the tent

yes i know the weather changes all the time but that should be a good general idea of where we'll be at

Old faithful has never let me down. Comfortable, great price, goes with everything, and doesn’t really matter if they get dirty or broken. Highly recommend for raving
They're small enough to work with your tent zippers & you can always lock the inside of your tent while you're sleeping if you feel the need to.

KEDSUM Portable Camping Shower,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CZ72P4B?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is the one I bought for bonnaroo! It’s incredible! Obviously if you want hot water you’ve got to find a way to heat it up and put it in the bucket. I get about 10-12 minutes of shower on a charge. It’s certainly not for relaxing showers. It’s for getting clean and getting clean quick
Most recent forecast pulled from weather.com. Looks like it'll be warming up a little bit, increase of about 10 degrees from the forecast 6 days ago. Prepare for warm and cold my friends!!
Yes i have the worst throat ever and I have a mild cough. I think its covid.
I decided to stay indoors and read what my friend has said the most offensive book that she has ever read
I am not the person to ask, as this is my first year, but from what I’ve seen other people say about that issue, you can try emailing their support line, but I think they have them available at the venue somewhere. That being said, someone else recommended me these. I literally just placed the order this morning and they’ll arrive tomorrow according to Amazon. Try that! Worst case it’s 20$
You still might be able to order fur lined tights from Amazon and they have them in nude so you can wear them under your rave outfit or just to layer up if it gets cold! They are really warm and soft!
Last year we bought these two off amazon

I made fun of my wife for bringing them but they were great. We hung it from our suv and set it up next to our car. Apparently these heat up well if you put in on the roof of your car with sun shine. It was ao cold and cloudy last year i boiled some water before hand it was great. With a full bag 4 adults were able to take quick showers before it ran out.
I used this for EF, can't go to LL sadly, and even without blowing up the cushions it was super comfy, even slept on it a couple of nights. Needs it's own pump though.
Any earplugs will work, but obviously better earplugs will work better. I personally cant sleep with a lot of noise, so I only use mine for sleep, but these have always treated me welland are an inexpensive option. You can purchase $100+ earplugs, but I have never seen a drastic difference between the super expensive ones and these. They are forsure better than those horrible orange foam ones!!

Ope yeah that's pop up time imo
This is the one I got - I set it up in around 3 or 4 minutes and tear it down just as fast. It's also surprisingly sturdy - I used to always associate pop-up tents with being these frail garbage tents back when I was a Scout, but the quality has really improved. That mf held up to the extreme thunderstorms of LL 19 like it was nothing, meanwhile several regular tents in our immediate vicinity collapsed entirely.
Yes. Here’s the one I got. Extendable poles aren’t allowed but I put some tape around the top and risked it. No one noticed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093FV2LNM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_8GDMRPC31K6FRT1MCD7C

I agree with the other Redditor! I got to Walmart in Heath when they opened at 6am on Thursday and it was pretty wiped out. We snagged the last canopy and they had low stock on camping gear. Walmart is great for the small, last minute items.
As for shipping, we shipped our canopy back home since we already had 2 checked bags. That was $100 just to ship 😬 shipping all of your camping gear could get pricy fast.
We got two bags similar to this and checked them. We also had two backpacking backpacks as our carry on. We were able to fit all of our camping gear in the duffel bags. We also had a wagon to carry the bags around the airport.
If you rent gear, check out REI! That can get pricy and it might make more sense to purchase your own gear if you’re planning on going to other camping fests or camping in the future.
You’re welcome!! If you think of any questions down the line, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to answer any questions! Forest camping is truly a hidden gem.
Oh goodness, last year was a shitshow lol. When we got into the campgrounds we asked every headbanger helper where the forest was and they kept telling us to keep driving. 40+ minutes later we reached the end of the campgrounds and security almost made us camp in GA by the freeway. There were two other cars off to the side that were also supposed to be in the forest and also got directed to the GA campgrounds. They had to momentarily stop all traffic to direct us to the forest lol. I’m sure they’ll be a lot better with directing people this year.
When you’re coming in from Licking Trails Rd, you’ll first see some GA camping, then you’ll pass by RV camping. That’s where you want to park! If you pass by the RVs, you went too far.
We set up in the dark and it wasn’t bad at all! We had these lanterns and I had this head lamp. Trust me on the headlamp!! Not only will it help you see at night but it also makes dope dinosaur noises when you turn it on lol.
I’m so sorry you didn’t get glamping, but you’re going to love the forest!
We park right next to the RVs, right at the entrance gate of the forest! We could see our car from our tent and we had access to our car all weekend. As for carrying everything, we got a wagon and it was a game changer! We didn’t have to carry anything and just loaded everything up in the wagon.
As for tips, I highly recommend getting an early entry pass since it’s first come first serve. The earlier you get there, the more likely you’ll get good spot.
There are free showers! I found this out on the last day lol. And don’t walk all the way to the RV port o potties, the forest has their own bathrooms too. I hiked to the RV port o potties all weekend because I didn’t know where our bathrooms were lol.
Another tip, bring bug spray, two tarps, and keep your tent door closed at all times! You will have to clear out a lot of debris when you get there and there are spiders. The spiders are harmless though. We cleared out the debris, laid one tarp down, and then I sprayed bug spray all over the tarp and around our tent. We didn’t have any problems with spiders after I sprayed.
You don’t really need a canopy for the forest since there’s so much shade from the trees. And lastly, a hammock is a must for the forest!
current forecast is showing mid 70s for all around that time of the month this year. i think we'll be pretty decent. yes i know weather can change but we're in a good ball park all around

I have these & they work great. Use as directed & it really does dry out your bladder over night. I like these because it can prevent mildew from forming on the inside of the bladder.

THESE CLIPS ARE AMAZING.
I used to put holes in all my tapestries and eventually they'd rip and be ruined. Also used clothes pins but it took like 100 of them for one tapestry and just looked tacky... These clips are game changers and super cheap!
I used something very similar to this linked dish brush to scrub out the bladder. You should be able to unscrew the hose from the bladder to fit a brush inside.
I also rinsed very hot soapy tap water thru the hose, by by opening the mouth valve, and holding the end that attaches to the bladder, under the faucet. While I was doing this, the hose was coiled in the sink so that the water could still drip out the other side. I hope this helps

Dude throw out the stupid solar packs that literally only charge your phone once. Buy a Jackery Power station!!! I swear, this is hands down the BEST thing I've ever bought for festivals! Between my group of 4 we charged all of our phones, every day, for a 4 day fest. My friend and I straightened our hair (twice each) using it, she charged her apple watch with it, and when I got home it only had lost 50% battery life. It charges with a wall plug, a car charger (both included), or you can get the solar panel that's sold separately. We just charged it at home before we left but it lasted all weekend! I promise you this will be the best thing you've ever bought!!
I'm gonna try to insert a link for ya below. Also I'll add that this is not sponsored. I am just the dingus who bought wayyyyy too many solar chargers and those small portable battery packs before I dropped the $200 on this life saver. 😅
highly recommend a flag pole that your tire rolls over to hold down for your campsite makes it sooo much easier seeing it from far away.

Find a way to refresh your electrolytes! I like to use Pedialyte powder Also for camp, having a good setup is vital for me and our crew. A table (as well as chairs) is very useful. And having plenty of shade is important for staying cool at your campsite.
Randon tip: bring extra socks

If you want to save some money, get a portable shower (12$). As well if you want some privacy you can get a shower tent. (22$) As well, you can make some friends for having it.
90% of the tents for sale have little to no protection from water ingress. Even if you douse the bitch in waterproofing spray, it still gets in. A real waterproof tent is like $500+.
I have a coleman instant tent that I lay a tarp on top of and tie down with bungee cords. It works ok.
