Even I feel the same. Good times look good only if you swam through bad times at least once. There is a reason someone gets happy after eating the fruits of hard work and patience. But bad times do not pass in a day or two. It takes time. All this time you should remain strong from within and keep your motivation flowing. I recently came across came through this great apo and felt like sharing it with others as well. This app is called MOTIVATION. It is available both on Android and iOS.

Many obstacles would block your road to success. But to swim through, you should always stay motivated. Inner strength is the only thing that helps during tough times. If my personal opinion is asked for, I would say MOTIVATION, an app available both on Android and iOS really helped me to cope up with difficult times. It worked for me and I hope it would work for you we well.

I'm definitely selling on kindle. You can get it here.
As for the adversities I faced and what the process was like, I actually made a post on /r/getdisciplined. You can read that here.
TL;DR, I didn't write every single day, or even every week day, but I wrote every day that I could. I made writing my main task for the day, so that as long as I did that, it didn't matter if I was lazy about everything else. This eventually led to disregarding any sort of organized schedule, because the structured time slots were cutting into days where I was motivated to write for five hours or more (rare, but they did happen).
In the end, I developed a natural, consistent schedule according to my fitful habits, which helped me get very consistent in the final three months or so. Up until those three months though, it was always a fight.
I guess you mean this: http://www.amazon.com/INSANITY-Base-Kit-DVD-Workout/dp/B002QZ1RS6
I'll definitely read more about Insanity thanks. but the no alcohol? not sure I can do that... I'm wound damn tightly and if I don't unwind at the end of the day with a trigger to tell my brain to calm down, I don't sleep.
