Also, top tip when linking to the EDP, go via http://outline.com which will (a) not give the fuckers any ad revenue from you loading their page and (b) strip the comment section so you don't accidentally read any of that because holy shit it's depressing.
Do think about the 8 seater taxi option. We did this for family and saved £'s and sanity. http://www.airporttransfersnorwich.net cost £180 each way to Gatwick. Compare with prices on https://www.thetrainline.com. Train takes 3-31/2 hrs
Nowhere near a full ring road. The planned NDR route is already on OSM, check it out: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=12/52.6358/1.3053 To make it a full ring road would destroy the Ringland area.
Ah nice
I reccomend the Norfolk canoe book, shows launch points with routes and time + parking.
A fantastic place to go in the summer is up by the rising sun pub in Coltishall. Its on the water front with a big open grass area next to it, so can have drinks then paddle down past all the nice houses by the river , or further into the countryside area.
Look out for two orange kayaks ha that will be us
This guy on gumtree is after one. You might want to message him to let you know if yours gets offered to him. https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/wanted-pre-1980-mini-any-condition/1389199371?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_social
There are loads of quiet country lanes all round Norwich, so it just depends which side of the city you fancy travelling through. I avoid all the A roads, except to cross them, and stay off the B roads as much as i can and still do loads of rides in the-20-40 mile range.
If you want a couple of examples for the south side, try Lakenham - Stoke Holy Cross - Hempnall - Woodton (through the village and across the B road) - Thwaite - Mundham - Poringland - Arminghall - Lakenham
Or Trowse - Loddon - Bungay - Earsham - cycle path that parallels the A road - Alburgh - Hempnall - Norwich
If you register with ridewithgps.com (its free) you can use thier route planner to work out where to go, and it has a streetview function so you can check the roads you'll be on
Some Norwich venues do run events through match.com, which can be a bit pricey on the face of it (£19.99/month for 6 months), but sometimes I think you get what you pay for. Not aware of any social evenings outside "dating site" control.
I and have used a similar pull up bar to above for a while now - it doesn't leave any marks on door frames, and can be used for multiple compound exercises as a pose to just pull ups.
The wensum doesn't really have a current , so the only issue is how cold it is at the moment.
This book here is well worth it, shows you lots of nice routes to go around the county.
If youre in Norwich a nice route is getting on at the Wensum around Hellesdon Hall Road (by Dereham road) following the river out the city (West) and going as far as you like really. Can paddle up paralell to Hellesdon mill Lane and where the river forks slightly to the right (junction with Hellesdon Hall road) look on maps with satellite view where the mini dam is
Then you can go all the way back down towards Barker Street. There is still little to no current, I was out a few days ago, but its cold
Welcome to Norwich! Hard water area I'm afraid. I'm from near Ipswich originally which has the hardest water in the UK, so surprisingly Norwich is a slight improvement!
A lot of people have kettles with a mesh filter in the spout, which catches any limescale. You can also buy little balls that go in the bottom of the kettle that are supposed to stop limescale buildup, but I can't say how well these work.
Alternatively, a water filter jug like a Brita might be better if you prefer the taste of soft water
I ended up buying a 16kg sack of bread flour from Amazon, but there is plain flour too
