Why aren't you pre-grinding (cutting) your weed before you go out? If I know I'm going to be away from the house all day, I'll grind up enough to last me the day. Then I just carry that little bottle with the weed and I put one of my wife's hair clips in there to use as a poker. I don't save ABV though, so I don't need to keep another container for it.
You could also pick up a little pill case to carry the weed and ABV in. Something like this.
The pax 3 is great, but unfortunately the smell is A LOT out of the box and is not discreet enough to use/store with others in the home if you need to be low key. It's not the vapor that's the problem, as that dissipates pretty fast, but the "used" flower (avb) has a very strong, lingering smell. However, you can get a case for less than $20 that will make the smell undetectable (to humans) even when it's just been used and it's in your pocket/bag.

Using that, I smoked out the window of my room that shares a wall with family without any problem for months, as long as I sealed it tight when done.
The other thing you will need to consider is that you cannot clean it or charge it while in the case, so the smell can spread at those time. I got around that by charging it in my car and cleaning it when at a friends. Good luck and enjoy!

I pack a bowl and start the night with 5 puffs at 365 boost mode with my bong..then an hour or two later I bump it up to 383 and 5 more pulls through my bong...then and hour or so later a quick stir and few more pulls at 391 then before bed I add a small amount to the spent bowl, stir and take a few more pulls at 391 and I'm off to bed...✌️ using the pax with a bong is a completely different experience 🤗

I use a kitchen aid coffee grinder with herb cups. I still pick it apart to get rid of the stems. But after I'm done it comes out like kief which is perfect for my pax. This allows me to go a few days without having to grind everytime I need to vape. Keep in mind I'm a medical patient and vape three full bowls a day. So this saves me a lot of time.

I use sandwich pushers instead of the default pax screen, these things were game changer for me. You get bigger and denser vapor clouds, more efficient sessions and weed “burns” more evenly.

You COULD get the case, or you can use these end caps that are like pvc pipe covers but are super snug on the pax and makes it so it's basically smell proof. I can charge my pax and store it at home without a smell issue, bring it to work and take it out with me.

Dude I'm 19 too, My pax 3 JUST came in literally few hours ago- I packed this and hit it but Just be warned, the smell lingers... BAD apparently- parents left and I used it outside and walked inside with it, little bro said it smelt like weed , I ran out the house (cause the whole point of getting pax is to smoke real dank- secretly), parents came home and said it smelt like weed..
My advice bro buy some smell proof caps, IF your gonna be around hella people all the time with it.. I just bought mine right now. I have a couple little Pax specific cases (with Pax logo) that holds one Era/Pro with pod plus two extra pods and the charge cable in another pocket. It’s perfect size but I can’t find it anymore on their site. However, I have referred some people to this case:
It’s not as small and compact as the Pax one but does fit the Pax Era/Pro and several pods. No separate place for cable but there is room to stuff it in main compartment or through a couple of the pod holders.

So... Most waterpipes hqve either 14mm or 18mm opening (meaning that some waterpipe adapters you have to chose one or the other... The water pipe adapter for the Pax I linked to is both - hence the step half way up).
Most of the waterpipes in the UK seem to be 14mm... And you can buy them off Amazon (I usually spend £20-30 on generic brand ones). Search "water pipe bong" or "water pipe smoking". Something like this:

Not sure about the original poster’s method, but with a hand grinder, just grind it upside down so that the flower remains in the grinding chamber longer and thus grounded finer. I use the 2.5” Kozo as well and it’s a really nice grinder for the price. Recently picked up the 2” Koz for travel and find I like grind out of it even better for my Pax. Grinds a tad finer than the 2.5 but honestly both are really nice grinders.

As far as smell goes, yes the pax smells when in use and the smell lingers in the pax itself after its off.

This is what I keep it in and there is no smell when its inside.
As for the smell when using it, it is noticeable but if you are in your room and the door is closed you cannot smell it in another room and once you shut off the Pax and put it in the case there is no smell in the room after no more than 10 minutes.
You do NOT need an overpriced grinder. I've been through many and the best right now for me is a cheap 10$ plastic tube type thing. It's also a holding container. The container part is useless but the grinder works awesome. I also have a little electric one that looks like a flashlight.

Has enough space for my PAX3, Grinder, a few jars of concentrates, and I keep a handful of q-tips and pipe cleaners in it as well. I can't speak to how effective the smell proof aspect is because I tend to leave it open on my table anyway.

I can fit the essentials in it. The budkup container fits into one of the mesh slots, it's sort of hard sided with dual zippers. It's not "smell proof", but I can't smell anything that's in it.
It's not a perfect, made-for fit, but it's good enough to toss into my purse.

You also need tools for cleaning it, but the starter kit should get you started, along with Alcohol and q-tips. Pro tip: turn on the vape while cleaning to remove the worst stains and buildup.

I've been using this one for the past year and have no complaints. There is a storage container on top so that you can have some extra flower on the go (I use Budkups, so it's super convenient). Zero smell, fits in my pocket, extra storage for multiple sessions...it's great!
Personally, I find the Pax tool pretty useless. This one works great. I use it for cutting wax/shatter, packing with flower and it makes it easy to keep the exposed edge under the oven door clean (I scrape this area clean when I pack a bowl ensuring no flower is left in that are before closing the door.
I have one of these it’s skunk brand but literally the exact same product. I love it it works great! the only thing is I’m not sure how to clean it without destroying the foam. It gets smelly after a while and even if you put a freshly cleaned pax in there it will still smell and taste a little like dirty pax. Other than that it’s super discreet and smellproof and even has removable things to stash a small amount. I bring my pax everywhere with that! Even if i bring it to work I have no worries about any smell getting out. Just wish I knew how to clean it...

You can mess with the levels on the Pax itself. Just hold the power button til the lights change, showing the power level, then tap the power button to change the level, then hold down to lock it in. To my knowledge, those levels just change the temp and not the profiles you mentioned...but I could be wrong.
As for the case, I went with this one and it works like a charm. Even has a compartment for extra bud to take with you :)

I got the small 7x6, keep the pax, grinder, and a few gs ready to go in there. It does a really great job hiding the smell, can't smell anything until I pop it open and smell is gone as soon as I shut it. They also have larger sizes and jars and full on cases etc, I've never tried any. I like the 7x6 size bc it's perfect for pax + essentials but still small enough to stuff in a jacket pocket or stick in my backpack without taking up any significant space.

I bought HelmetHead bags to keep all my supplies in and they work like a charm. It has dividers which was perfect for me, I didn’t just want to throw everything in and hear it clanking around. It also has plenty of little zippers and pouches inside to keep smaller items. I got a Pax awhile ago and recently started keeping it in the bag. Zero smell comes out and it works perfect. It also has a combination lock as most of these bags do which is very handy. Anywhere from an 1/8th to a half in mine. I take most of the stems out first, then pulse a few times. More for a half than an 1/8th of course. I used to be the person who thought this method was a waste of keif and just abuse to the trichomes, but arthritis forced me to try it and now I swear by the coffee grinder. Vented hood and WPA rips like a charm. Definitely get the vented hood made a night and day difference as far as vapor production. Make sure it’s on the highest setting.

Anytime. Here's a link to the screens I've been cutting up. I can make 2 oven screens off each one. I just use each screen for 3-4 sessions and toss it and make another. I tried cleaning the fine mesh but its more trouble than its worth to me.
As soon as you are done smoking, use the wirebrush that comes with the Pax 3 and pass it thru the airway and poke the oven screen/packed weed out of the Pax. It will tend to stay in brick form and leaves barely anything to clean.

I have a silicone sleeve for my pax 3 and it helps a lot with the heat. It also provides more grip and I honestly prefer it in hand over the metal material. Also protects your pax from scratches. I was able to get the little square alcohol wipes on Amazon, and they are pretty nice! I use it to wipe the lids and the inside but I have small hands/fingers lol. I have also used them to soak the qtip and/or the pipe cleaner by just squeezing one or two onto it. Not ideal but works for now and they come in decently sized boxes for like 10 bucks

Any “pipe” cleaning pipe cleaner will work, I searched pipe accessories on Amazon and my local headshots Cary them. The “craft” type they are flimsy and of no use so be certain you are purchasing actual “pipe” cleaners.

Just to add on this, you definitely want to make sure your product is ground as fine as possible. If you're using a 4-piece grinder you can actually grind your product upside down in that grinder for a finer grind.
