There's actually a book written about how drug fuel the Nazis were in WWII
Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich
That's not to say the US didn't do the same thing.

German Woman: Hey! Any idea why it always smells like that burning human flesh around Treblinka?
German Man: Huh! I never really thought about that but you're right! Weird! Looks like it's going to rain soon.
German Woman: Ach! It's about time! We really need it.
I visited Mauthausen and you come away understanding that there was no way that the people in the surrounding area didn't know what was going on.
Better yet, they could read (yes, I know - I'm hilarious!) KL: A History of the Nazi Concentration Camps and understand the concentration camps fed the local economy.
Wow! That looks like a fun site to explore. I'm going to check that out. Thanks!
Also, I got one for you: Lies My Teacher Told Me
It's a great book that goes over the terrible way American history is taught in grade schools by analyzing various textbooks from different school districts and what they leave out and get wrong.
I mean if it confirms their already present confirmational bias, it really validates them. The world is indeed a scary, sometimes confusing place and a boogeyman is safer to blame than your fellows human. Enter the conspiracy ...
I messed up like 4 years ago with my cousin. Unbeknownst to me, she was falling into the rabbit hole of Q. When she started talking about conspiracies, I thought she was like me. Someone who enjoys a good conspiracy just like one would enjoy a good novel. I don't believe most of them but they are a great mental exercise and diversion from the mundane. Woooo I was wrong... see I bought this book by Anton Wilson for her because I find it highly amusing, fun and well written. I love me some Anton Wilson, I own most or possibly all of his books. She now has used that book as proof that Q is real and Trump is some messianic figure. I regret ever giving her that damn book, even tried to steal back but alas she caught me.

Oh sweetie... Allow me to present to you the book Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media A book that came out back in 1988 that talks about how the media is a right wing vehicle to promote the status quo of supporting military intervention on the behalf of defending Capital.
Some alternative reading from Amazon.

About the Author;
Rush Limbaugh is a disgusting fat bag of feces, masquerading as a real person. He's Mr. Hanky come to life. Rush Limbaugh lost his virginity to his mom, and has a sister/daughter to prove it. Rush Limbaugh votes republican because he identifies with the elephant symbol. Rush Limbaugh hates fags so much because he's the only queer who can't get a date on Tinder. Rush Limbaugh is so easy to hate, this book took 10 minutes to write. Rush Limbaugh is a hemmorroid on America's asshole, infected, bloated, gassy, and full of maggots. Rush Limbaugh should be banished from America, executed, castrated, set on fire, tortured slowly, forced to eat his own foot, or traded to ISIS for nothing in exchange. The only thing more pathetic than Rush Limbaugh are the idiot morons who agree with him, mental midgets too busy or lazy to think for themselves, trusting this sad sack of boogers and cum to think for them. Here is another awesome book to read: Maton the Criminal Drug Lord by Victor "Puppet" Raza
>They are a publisher. The pay for server space and write code to make your writing look nice. In other words, they publish it.
I love how they don't seem to understand that, especially given how much they like to whine that their information is being sold and they're being "forced" to put up with ads in exchange for them using the site. Yep, exactly -- they don't charge you publishing fees because they found an easier and more effective way to extract that money for your work.

No kidding. With the multitude of hosting services and pre-baked blogging code out there, you can be up and running in less than an hour. Minutes if you use something like Blogger or WordPress.com (as opposed to self-hosted WP on your own website; there are significant differences).
I think I found it in this abomination of a link. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://flipboard.com/topic/satire/why-i-stopped-watching-doctor-who-and-turned-to-a-life-of-crime-by-prisoner-hu6/a-jhOaLK2nT8CSQNPBlTpD-g%253Aa%253A2532350591-38c77e1eef%252Fnewsthump.com&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwj_xo...
You can control what you see on YouTube if you're on a desktop browser (this might also work with Firefox on mobile but I can't be sure).
Blocktube is a browser extension that lets you filter keywords from video titles and channel names. I included terms like "SJW," "feminist cringe," "angry feminist," etc and it cleaned my page right up. Videos with those terms in the title won't show up even if you search for them.
Not an equivalent solution but you can turn off comments for the mobile app in YouTube Vanced for Android. It's an alternative client (clone of the regular app) with features like ad-blocking and SponsorBlock (and comments removal).
