I bought this one (medium plus size if it doesn’t pull up the exact size) for my 2021 limited. Works great.
I've used this for over a year and it works great.

I have a cover on my phone so I put the magnet on the inside of it.
I positioned the stand behind and to the right of the steering wheel. The phone sticks great either landscape or portrait. I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time fiddling with my phone, but it's convenient enough to start and end navigation.
There's plenty of similar stands in the Amazon hellscape...I mean marketplace.
Hope this helps!
After using my kit, I replaced it with this $35 slime kit because $120 greatly exceeds the price I'm willing to pay. I haven't had to use it yet, but it has good enough reviews for me to trust it.
I'm pretty sure I'm using this. though it's been about 2 years since I bought it.

Note this is 14 gauge. You can easily get a 12 gauge cord for the same price and it will have better ability to handle high draw, but 14 gauge is fine for the ~12 amp continuous load a prime will pull.
> I wouldn’t go the jerryrigged non-certified adapter route.
Please elaborate. Jerry rigged, non-certified?
If you build something yourself (commonly done) it doesn't require any certification.

Even though our Prime’s already come with a tire repair kit, I went ahead and purchased these for those just incase moments and longer road trips:
Look at the car diary, month by month Display. How much mpg each month? % ev driving vs hybrid driving. Download DrPrius and install an OBDII reader
This Panlong is only $13 , well reviewed and i am happy with it too:
If the tire pressure is importantto you, you can buy a device by AUTEL MaxiTPMS TS508 or other models to check tire pressure and is used to replace the TPMS sensors.
Many models and other devices are available. I had a slow leak and finally found it using this type device.

Oh another thing I did to mine was replace the 3.5in dash speakers.
used these and you can get any speakers that fit. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RMZ4CR6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
sounds a little better
That is expensive, like /u/caper-aprons said. Something like this will work fine, and it is a two-pack so you have another one to use for something else around the house.
You can turn your OEM Toyota ESVE level 1 charger to a level 2 using this:
Just make sure your 240v is a NEMA 6-50 or 14-50 outlet.

smart plug i should say... if you have one already, may be better to find one within the same brand.
i went with kasa, so i bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091FXH2FR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
you just need to make sure the Amp is high enough. ive been using this for a year or so. that way i dont have to worry about the car not charging elsewhere due to the schedule i set in the car.
I use one like this: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07PHPVF63/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_EXC8KVQ30J68AFJ8CXX3
I have it on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.
My only real complaint is that the phone gets hot in the sun sometimes.
Not sure if this would work. I use this for my note 20 ultra in my prius prime. I actually keep it to my left though so it might not help you, but I love it.

I wouldn't recommend you play movies while driving but if you get one of those wireless carplay/android auto type boxes the dongle has it's own android version and basically tricks the car into thinking it's an iphone running carplay and will mirror the 'screen' of the device - you can download apps like netflix or run a version of Android Auto paired with your android phone. You can even play Doom.
here's a device i bought that does all that: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Multimedia-Cellular-Navigation-Bluetooth/dp/B09J8N3KLW
there are other ones out there. some just add wireless carplay and are more passive. others have more features like onboard storage.
I got one of these steering wheel covers on Amazon and I really like it. My wife got one for her Prius C too: vAmazon Steering Wheel Cover
Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and Dr. Prius for Android. Free app and does the trick. I also used successfully this and OBDLink MX+ to program things like no blinkers when locking/unlocking and raising windows from key fob etc.
The Kill-a-Watt will work, but you'll probably need to record each charging session manually.
I'm using a WiFi Smart Plug from Satechi: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RJ1Y1NT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I set it up on my wifi indoors, then used it for a few months before I had an outdoor access point and it was able to record the charging totals even without a WiFi connection. Once I got the outdoor AP going, all the data was there.
Get a device like a Kill-a-Watt which totals the power use through a receptacle. It is a simple plug in device that goes between the receptacle and the plug of your EVSE.

I use this one. It works pretty good holding onto the phone vent and if you use the included magnet it holds onto the phone pretty well. I use a thin TPU case on my Galaxy S10 and stuck the magnet sticker on the inside of the case, slightly towards the bottom so it doesn't interrupt wireless charging or NFC. I do keep it on the vent to the right of the screen because it sticks out a little too far to have it behind the steering wheel. So my phone is a little further away but it's still fine.
Got this one is working perfectly.

I currently use Turtlewax inside job for all interior surfaces including the Softex seats. Leaves a really nice smell behind it and is a cleaner and UV protectant. It just came out last month so there are not many reviews, but a lot of Youtube detailers are giving it high praise which is why i tried it. I previously used a Chemical guys interior cleaner which I also liked, but like the smell of Turtle wax better.
Glad I just found this. Gonna replace the backup light bulbs on my 2022 with these LASFIT bulbs. At 1400 lumens each they were the brightest rated ones I could find:
A little late to the party, but I bought this off of Amazon and it’s worked great. The charger clicks into place and it has a hook for your excess cable.

If you want a budget option, this rooftop bag has worked well for me.
Took it 1500 miles without any movement or issues and kept my items dry in the rain
I added one from Amazon, it’s okay. Kind of like old plastic phone screen protectors. I hated the texture of the screen and prefer this for the feel. Maybe just how I applied it, but tons of air bubbles.

For a low cost and temporary option try this; I have used it and it worked well -
I keep the charger cord that came with mine at home to charge and bought this one to keep in the car. I have been very happy with it. $190 on amazon.
What I really liked is it came with a hanger I use at home with the factory charger, and it has adapters for higher amp outlets. I do not use the bag it came with but rather store it in the charger slot in back.
I got the Belkin MagSafe Car mount that I put in the passenger vent. Works great and no need for extra cases or adaptors if you have an iPhone. Doesn’t do charging but I’m using CarPlay already. Nice to just have the phone out of the way and within reach if needed.
i use one of these for my cell phone. i dont think this will work with a small tablet though. i have mine mounted right next to the air vent, i do drive a prius prime plus though (the smaller screen one)
If you are really worried, just add a stabilizer. This was recommended to me by my Toyota dealership, https://www.amazon.com/STA-BIL-22205-Fuel-Stabilizer-oz/dp/B002G14VCY/ref=sr_1_3?crid=EG9VD4CL1XWL&dchild=1&keywords=gas+conditioner+and+stabilizer&qid=1625637484&sprefix=gas+conditioner%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-3
My garage came with a 6-50 plug so I got a Nema 6-50 to 5-15 this is it adapter
I have had no issues using the factory supplied charging cable like this and have read a lot of other people doing the same thing but obviously it's not recommended.
I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ak.alizandro.smartaudiobookplayer on my phone w/ bluetooth and it works great. When I start the car, it connects to my phone and starts playing right where I left off when I turned off the car.
Hi all, I bought a 2017 Prius Prime Premium last week and the charging cable was missing so they promised to get me a new one. They did but I just realised when I went to plug it in that all they got me was part 4 and not the CCID. Now, I could fight them on this but I think they might be able to say legally that they did what they said they would. Would you agree? Is it worth my going into battle on this? If not I see this one on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Zencar-Portable-Electric-Charging-Compatible/dp/B077N25YTG
What do you think? Would you say that this is an OK thing to buy? I don't want to destroy my car! It gets decent reviews.
Thanks for any help on both these questions!
Phil
This one here on Amazon is a level 2 that comes with the wall mount, a converter to level 1, a 25' cord and it's only $169. It's what I use for my Level 2 Charger installed at my apartment.
This page: https://www.amazon.com/Toyota-Motors-North-America-Inc/dp/B07B9HN9R5
has a comment that says: "Toyota Remote Services is only available in Hawaii with select 2019 or newer vehicles."
I just did another search and found this:

I don't think that page lists ALL the things Alexa can do in your car as it also says:
"For a list of available features, use Alexa to “ask Toyota, what can I do” or “ask Toyota, what’s new”"
here is some more of what is at that link above:

Basic Interactions
“Alexa, ask Toyota to start my car” **
“Alexa, ask Toyota to stop my car” **
“Alexa, ask Toyota to lock my car”
“Alexa, ask Toyota to unlock my car”
“Alexa, ask Toyota how much gas is in my car”
“Alexa, ask Toyota if my car is running”
“Alexa, ask Toyota if my doors are locked”
“Alexa, ask Toyota how many miles are on my car”
Multi-car Interactions
“Alexa, ask Toyota what’s my active vehicle”
“Alexa, ask Toyota to change my active vehicle”
I had an electrician add two NEMA 14-50 outlets (each with a dedicated cable run from my main breaker box) plus a 20A circuit (3 outlets) for power tools. I bought this house 10 years ago and have suffered with a single garage outlet. I was glad to have an excuse to hire an electrician.
I bought this JuiceBox charger. The charging cable is so much heavier than the one that came with the Prius (surprisingly heavier) but it’s worth it. I ordered the charger on the day I bought the car and it took a week to arrive. 5+ hours to charge the Prius meant we weren’t getting the most out of the range. Now it charges in about 2 hours. I love it. And the charger can connect to your WiFi for tracking charging.
A quick tip in case you’re planning to run 240v to your garage. Consider future proofing by running as many outlets as you think you may eventually need. Place at least one close to the door so you can run the 25’ cable to a car parked outside. I think the cables are generally limited to 25’ length. Also, a 40A charger requires a 50A circuit.
