Here are some techniques we're using:
- Maker comment that highlights the fact we're a mix of grads/students
- Exclusive, limited-time code that gives people a ProductHunt trivia deck + exclusive badge for their user profile (confetti too!)
- Our ProductHunt deck contains names/images of influential people in the community. Segmented them by timezone - will be tweeting them at the appropriate time.
- Segmented our users by timezone - we're emailing them at the appropriate time and asking them to share/leave a testimonial.
- Tweeting influential folk in the NotionHQ community (we have a Notion integration)🙏 Would love your feedback.

For us the effort wasn’t worth it.
The ProductHunt algorithms which their support couldn’t disclose, meant that on launch day despite managing to get 28 upvotes from early adopters in the first hour, we never featured on the ProductHunt home page although plenty of products with fewer upvotes did. If you don’t get on the home page then nobody else will discover you.
I was massively disappointed after all the effort we put in. I guess if the algorithm works and you get featured you will see some benefit but if you don’t then you will get zero extra traffic.
Really cool product and cool PH campaign! Upvoted.

We decided not to stop there and, following the previous launch, launched on Product Hunt a new product, ICANSELL, today. Today Value Network is the result of a 2020 pivot when we decided to create a service based on Blockchain technology, that will change the market of cryptocurrency predictions.
Main functions:
Cryptocurrency price forecast.
The user predicts whether the price of a cryptocurrency pair will be higher or lower at a certain moment. Due to the principles of how our peer-to-peer platform was developed, people are making bets against each other, and not against the broker, so that the conflict of interests is eliminated.
On-chain strategies (auto-following):
The user can create a smart contract on our platform, then other users can follow his strategy and try to repeat his forecast with any amount of money. If the author's forecast strategy is correct, he gets his 20%.
We have created Value Network implementing QTUM Blockchain, Binance Smart Chain, and Chainlink as the oracle that predicts the prices. The smart contract has open-source code. The price oracle is assuring the user that we do not alter the prices during the bidding process.

Interesting product idea. Although, the dark side of me really hoped it would churn out ideas that just added something like "Kardashian" to it. And, it does look a little bit like it does that because it recommends ideas of adding "Mike & Dave" and the sort to it, haha. Still a pretty cool idea though.
A weekend hackethon turned out to be more amazing than we expected. We took 600K+ podcasts and threw it at GPT2 neural network.
So if you have an idea what your podcast should be about, just paste it in and it will generate really good podcast names. Just like you would describe it to your grandma :)
