If you are running Windows 10 you can mount the iso without any tools, just right click it and select mount as drive
If not i would recommend http://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/ over Daemon Tools, way smaller and without adware
I don't have a link, I got my VPN from a friend. It's called "Betternet" you might be able to find it online.
I have to mention that I no longer need a VPN and can play without it, don't really know what happened but one day I loaded the game without the VPN and it just worked lol
I got into PR a week ago and can say that it is absolutely worth it :-)
You probably won't find anything else than the complete edition. I bought BF2:Complete Edition recently at www.g2a.com. I haven't found anything cheaper yet. Maybe you can use http://isthereanydeal.com/, if it is still too expensive.
IsThereAnyDeal.com is your friend. (You can even add it to your wait list if you want a notification when there's a discount.)
"When will I be able to play Squad?" We are aiming to release our first early alpha builds in the spring of this year, namely sometime around March or April of 2015.
I got that from here
From what I understood mate, is that they won't have vehicles at the begining (alpha build) but they are going to add vehicles later on , the CQB in the videos is also subject to change since they didn't yet implement a stamina system and you could sprint around as much as you wanted, and they also didn't tweak the movement speed yet from what I understood.
TL;DR PR already bridges the gap between casual shooter and the only simulator that is around : ARMA , I hope Squad will do the same thing, and they mentioned an alpha, but from what I understood it won't be open.
EDIT: I just saw that they launched their website : http://joinsquad.com/about
970 gtx buuuuuuuu
Okay jealousy aside PR uses 1 core, as such when shit hits the fan you might easily drop to 30-45 frames. Not much ya can do. limitations of an old engine sadly. You will have to wait for 'Squad' for more cores =]
If you need to access plenty of torrents in your time at campus but have a slow or limited internet access, this service is perfect for you. https://put.io/
Their servers download the torrents at high speeds (50+mb/s, Or they don't even download them if another user has already downloaded the same torrent before), which you can then open (If its a video file) as a stream with VLC/MPC/Whatever (or simply download the video file, but that defeats the purpose of watching torrents instantly on slow/limited net).
However, If you're not interested in torrenting shows/games and only interested in PR then I can't really suggest this. Maybe if you're desperate enough do the 1-day "try it" subscription for 1$.
Edit: I tried adding the PR torrent right now and it finished instantly, meaning its already on their servers somewhere on some account, so there's even less waiting if you choose this way.
Or a 3-pack of Neewer lapel mics for $6.50. Audio quality on them isn't great, but it's pretty dang decent.
A high-quality option that can be attached to any headphones is the ModMic. I recommend this if you're looking for a new headset with a good mic. Most have awful mics so get headphones + separate ModMic instead and get more bang for the buck.
when i entered in playing english and portuguese servers, mostly the time the squad leaders are very patient, even if you do some shit by mistake and inexperience.
Just listen do the squad leader, asks questions when everthing is calm, don´t forget to say you are new, read the manual (if you have a smartphone is a good way to put there).
Also if you have a android phone there is the app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pt.uturista.prspy&hl=pt_BR
you can mark friends, maybe some good comrades in arms, maybe a awesome Squad leader, you can put in a friend list, and find the person later on servers.
