Buy one of these guys on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Rite-Rain-All-Weather-Planner-Cover/dp/B000WL3X5Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1495912050&sr=8-2&keywords=binder+rite+in+the+rain
If you don't want to bother with laminating, just write out a couple of OPORD shells, notes, etc. on the rite in the rain pages with a rite in the rain pen. Works just as good as laminating, and the process of writing it out will help with memorization.
On another note, what content do y'all think would be good to include in the battle book? e.g.: OPORD shells, how to set up a patrol base, etc.?

I wouldn't go crazy on reading books by PL's. They all pretty much say the same things. But that's just my opinion.

I added a backboard to mine to give it some support. You might find something suitable at Lowes or Home Depot — thin-ish, stiff plastic with a LITTLE flex.
How do you draw that conclusion from the data?
Total max intake was 162, 160 officer selected AV as their #1 choice and were selected. That is actually better than in FY20 (where three officers got AV as a 2nd choice).
It looks to me like the percentages were done differently on the chart this years. Seems very disingenuous to me to do it this way.
The 2017 chart showed how many people selected AV as their first choice (206), against a max select of 156.

2 things: Google is your friend, and get something like this instead knife
I'll elaborate though. The laws are all readily accessible (I'll send you links if you need) but in California you can carry any locking folders, including assisted knives, aside from certain counties like LA. Autos have to be less than a 2 inch blade and fixed blades need to be worn openly. Something else to consider is your university's policies on the matter. As for the knife choice, the one you linked isn't going to last and the army shit printed on it is tacky. I can go pretty deep on good options but for a good one at the same price as you linked I recommend the one I linked. If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to help, just DM me
TLDR; locking folders (including assisted) are gtg but don't buy the knife you linked
Scholarship/non scholarship has no bearing on your competitiveness, all that matters is your OML score.
Here is the new and improved OML score sheet and the old one.
https://www.docdroid.net/a92M1jz/fy17-branching-data.pptx.html
The question you really need to ask is, "what are my chances of completing the things I need to do, to get sufficient OML points to make active duty and receive my branch of choice?" If you want to be a Chemical officer (which had a majority of officers drawn from the bottom third of the OML and had the lowest mean GPA of 3.18) then you can do that with less OML points than Infantry (which achieved its 55% quota (184 officers) by the cadet who ranked 882on the OML with 63.28 points.)

So, I’m currently a WO pilot, this is the book I used: SIFT Study Guide: Test Prep Book with Practice Questions for the U.S. Army's Selection Instrument for Flight Training Exam https://www.amazon.com/dp/1635309484/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WBCC0SENA72V2KFDNRRP
Just using this and watching videos on YouTube I was able to get a 53.
I had my NCOIC for the Batallion when I commissioned. As per silver dollar, check out this on Amazon; it was cost efficient and honestly really nice. A little bit cheaper than MW, free shipping with Prime, and comes in a nice case for display/storage.
I'm looking to get my own pair of light duty gloves in place of what I was issued at my school. Does anybody know if the gloves have to conform to any certain standard? Was thinking about these but they're not the same color as the issued pair. I'm 100% new to ROTC and the military in general so I have no idea about anything.
Edit: Words
Quick question: should I go ahead and invest in an ACU assault pack or use a backpack I've already got for camp? Looking at packing my carry on and wasn't sure if I should bring a hiking backpack I've got or get a new assault pack.
Also, will they issue rucksacks for rucking or will we be using the duffel bags issued from school? Or our own backpacks?
You need this book, author is "Accepted Inc." I got a 65 with this book and a few YouTube videos for things I couldn't visualize that are explained in the book. Pay attention to the practice tests, do them all. Use a computer with a mouse (NOT A LAPTOP TRACKPAD), you will need a good mouse for the first part of the test.
No. It's a lot of unnecessary work. Study for them, sure; do the Skillport modules , even though they aren't super helpful. If anything it'll knock out some busy work for you during the course. I'd recommend buying Passport books for both Net+ and Sec+ (Net+ passport book) and using those as your main study material. If you hit that hard before you go and for the month that you're here before you take the certs I'm 90% sure you'll pass.
I was in a similar situation in terms of GPA and solid SAT score. I used this study guide, it goes over all military flight tests. Additionally, I used this online guide, and it was probably the most helpful of resources available.
Like I said, I was in a similar situation that youre in. I studied for about a week and did extremely well on the AFOQT. Im going up for pilot boards in February.
Good luck! Let me know if youve got any questions
