Offense is taken, not given. It was a medical term fifty years ago, a polite word twenty years ago, and I guarantee you in twenty years, the current "politically correct" term will be considered a slur ("neuro" even feels like a derogatory term if you imagine it coming from a sneering eight year-old).

I recommend not censoring yourself, but if you must, replace it with "reddited."

It was a thing just like Bitch is slowly not being used in the dog world. Eventually bitch will just be a slang word, since we're moving more towards "dam" for female dogs. Same way the "r" word once meant that someone was, what we now call, "intellectually delayed" in the medical terminology. Language changes over time. You can still find books with the word pussy referring to a cat. There's some funny reviews on Amazon of a children's book called "Pussy and the Birds" which was written in 1993. I remember my dad using the word to describe our cats around the same time, although by then most people weren't using it.

In all seriusness O M G!! I have a blog on wordpress-(fornow) and of the at most 5 maaaaybe 6 comments on rants and raves I put up that are humans. A bajillion of them are bots! that's on wordpress.com! it was fucking awful on my private domain even with wordfence, and askimet! My naimhost every other day would call asking what in the smeg, and dragon's cursed loot is going on! I said: ask the FCC who's to much of wrotten egg to do fuck for fucks about leaches spaming shit.

Who said anything about kidnapping and taking their organs? There's a whole business in China dedicated to selling off organs for cash consensually by the donor, leading to health complications of course. Also, people shoot up heroin consensually, it's not forced upon them yet it is still a social blight. Same thing with alcohol and cigarettes.

My ultimate point was that just because something is allowed and accepted, it doesn't mean it should stick around.

I've been thinking about your post and wanted to say more. I am pretty smart, and I say this not to brag but to explain. My IQ has served me well in some ways, but boy, it's no guarantee of success. Many people less bright have done much better with their lives. This is because much of life is not about being smart, but about having other abilities and virtues. I'd have done far better if I'd had more discipline, patience, "stick-to-it-iveness," better habits, more social graces, etc.

The world has many people who have done well despite not being smart. The core secrets include lots of boring, old-fashioned advice:

• Study in school, and keep studying for your whole life. Keep your brain active by reading. I'd recommend any good non-fiction books about anything that interests you: history, psychology, etc. Even fun/trashy fiction is better for your brain than TV.
• Don't do drugs or commit crimes.
• Develop good habits about food, exercise, etc.
• Get married and stay married. Don't have kids until that is well-established.
• Save and invest your money.

I'd especially recommend this self-help book: How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life by Scott Adams. It's an easy and fun read with lots of good advice, especially about systems (as opposed to goals) and the value of a "talent stack."
