As a long time “rosacea” sufferer, to me this looks like keratosis pilaris rubra faceii and NOT rosacea. Your skin is missing acne, big red bumps, and veins, which are the common symptoms of rosacea. In my experience, I often notice that rosacea tends to live more in the apples of the cheeks and across the nose, while KPRR is focused specifically on the whole cheek area, typically with a white spot in the hollow area. Mine also appears under my chin. This pattern is what I see in your photo. If you look at Google image search results of one vs. the other, you may agree with me. I’m not a doctor but it’s something to consider. I’d bring this up with your doctor(s) to see if that affects their recommendations/diagnosis.
ETA: Here is a link with a photo comparison that is eye-opening: https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/terripb/rosacea-or-keratosis-rubra-faceii
The heat from freshly brewed caffeine or decaf coffee bothers me. I drink a large iced coffee (caffeinated) daily from Peet's. (West coast chain known for its very strong coffee.) My skin is fine with that. . I don't smoke or drink alcohol.
I drink it because I am one of the 30% of people whose depression and anxiety decreases with coffee intake. It also kills my appetite a bit. I'm not going off coffee to see if my rosacea gets worse.
The only reason I can think for this study being true is freshly brewed coffee is supposed to decrease blood sugar levels. I know a high glycemic diet brings out the worst in my rosacea. This is just speculation about the inverse relationship between coffee and rosacea. No scientist here at all!

Hmm, what helped with my burning was Propolis Aloe gel. (But I also use Metro-gel - but it wasn't able to get the redness completely under control on its own.)
Before that, I was using ice packs. And they have these full face mask type things that you put in the freezer. I considered buying that before I found out about the Propolis Aloe gel.
I use this plastic insert that keeps the fabric off my skin and makes it easier to breathe. It’s also easier to keep sanitized. https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Face-Mask-Bracket-Breathability/dp/B08NZXQKNH
I agree about the washcloth cooling off quickly!
I was put on doxy, for the rosacea on my face, and it clear up my blurry vision from the ocular rosacea and I haven’t a stye in my eye since starting it (that’s like the first time in a decade!!).
I also used Ocusoft baby eye lids scrub wipes (Amazon link: https://smile.amazon.com/OCuSOFT-Eyelash-Cleanser-Pre-Moistened-Towelette/dp/B00A48VH2S/ref=mp_s_a_1_17?dchild=1&keywords=ocusoft&qid=1622730989&sr=8-17), which also worked to reduce the amount of stye’s I had before seeing a derm and getting the rosacea diagnosis.
I was having a similar issue. Most cleansers I’ve tried seem to be too stripping for me or exacerbate some other issue, so I switched to washing with water only and a chemical filter spf that doesn’t need much effort to remove. I’ve been using kinesys spf 50. It’s alcohol and fragrance free, super minimal ingredients. While it may be sacrilege- it’s way less irritating than many mineral spfs I’ve tried. It does feel a bit greasy at first and I have to be careful around my eyes, but it’s the first one I actually like using and reapply like I should, which has been helping my redness a ton. Tried to link below, hopefully it works ok on mobile!

I've used Honeyskin, which has MSM, manuka honey and aloe. A similar brand is Era Organics. Both are available on Amazon.
Facial rash or swelling is listed as a rare side effect of diltiazem. (Facial rash doesn't equal rosacea, btw.) You should definitely point this out to your doctor, along with any other side effects you might have noticed. Treating a side effect as a separate disease doesn't work, and there are plenty of other blood pressure medications you can take.
I'm now using Bioderma Sensibio AR (the complete set of face wash, moisturizer, BB cream with spf 25 and the 50+ sunscreen), I've been using the LRP for years but it stopped working. I'm very happy with the Bioderma moisturizer, it's effective in my case and very gentle. The only problem is that it lacks the sunscreen, but I just add a layer on top when needed.

If you've already tried the Dr. Jart's and you're still feeling the "lazy dude mode" you might try something like Rosacare: https://www.amazon.com/Rosacare-Medicated-Hyalurnoic-Reduction-Sufferers/dp/B07HBBLM9M
With that said, some men do find it's eventually best to give in an learn to apply cosmetic concealer.
I saw someone recommend this Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel on here. I got it and it worked for me.
Worked fast on my forehead and did start working on my nose as well, but took a few months for it to fully go back to normal. Bought that stuff mid January and just noticed a couple weeks ago that my nose feels normal and I have had ZERO flaking on it.
I do also use metrogel and have been on that since October I believe. So not sure if the Aloe gel will work on its own. But if I skip the aloe, the redness and flaking starts up again. So tells me that the gel is important.
I use it 2x daily.
I use ivermectin for my face but have also had a lot of luck with these tea tree oil wipes for my eyes/eyebrows. Twice a day for the last two weeks has taken their itchiness level from an 8 to like a 1. Wish you luck!

Try this moisturizer. It isn’t the highest SPF, but my face cannot tolerate avebenzone, and this doesn’t have that.
Keeping it simple and slowly introducing actives in skin care has been essential in my journey. A good moisturizer with ceramides can help repair your skin barrier, I switch between DML Forte with Panthenol and Cerave Baby Moisturizing Cream . Both have helped improve the hydration and tolerance of my skin.
This one comes very highly regarded by rosacea support forums and has many good reviews on amazon. It's on my list to buy once I'm out of what I'm currently using.

For skincare, I am currently using the Redness Solutions line from Clinique. I find it has helped with the redness and also general inflammation in my skin. I have subtype 2, with a cobblestone like texture in my temples and tiny pustules around my cheeks and nose. I have been using the Clinique for about a month and it has helped so, so much. I also use Finacea cream and that has worked wonders for me also. I'm not exactly 100% redness and bump free, but I've made great progress and will continue to use my regime and recommend it to anyone with Rosacea who hasn't tried it yet. Best of luck.
"LA Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser for normal to dry skin" it's a 13.52 Oz. This is the one to get if your face feels "tight" after washing prior to putting lotion. Otherwise they have cleanser for oily skin.
I got mine at Target, but it's also on Amazon
Can you take erythromycin? You're using clindamycin which is a similar drug. I find it doesn't make me nauseated but it gives me intestinal cramps. Your mileage may vary.
You will find that the various sulfur products can be very very drying. You will need a good moisturizer. But they can be very effective. You can get shampoo with sulfur in it too. (Jason's dandruff control). Make sure whatever product you get says it's okay for rosacea. Many products are sold for acne, oily skin or seborrhea and would be too harsh on rosacea. For example this says it's okay for rosacea.
There are moisturizers with sulfur. If you search on Amazon for rosacea MSM you'll find several products. MSM is a sulfur compound. Using an MSM moisturizer with a sulfur wash might be too much, so go with one or the other, at least at first.
You can take MSM pills. This might have more side effects.
Certain vitamins help as well. Niacinamide (not niacin), is the big one. There's a supplement called Nicomide but I think it's prescription and it's expensive. You need to take it twice a day. You can buy the vitamins individually yourself.
Obviously do all the other things like wear sunblock, no hot water on the face, avoid triggers, etc...
I have used the Finacea gel in a tube for years. I typically put it on after cleansing but before moisturizing. My skin is so sensitive that those are the only steps in my routine.
Unsolicited advice: Due to cost of Finacea ($94 with insurance), I've switched to Melazepam azelaic acid (bought on Amazon), and it's SO much more effective for me than Finacea ever was. Finacea just seemed so useless to me. It never prevented my Rosacea acne or sped up the healing time. Melazepam does both, and it costs just $14.
So if you're not eventually seeing a benefit from Finacea, consider switching.
Yes. Have you tried azelaic acid? I've used Melazepam (available on Amazon), and it worked pretty well. I also have used Paula's Choice azelaic acid booster. It's not as strong, but it also seems to help.
However, nothing makes my skin completely clear, so I just live with varying degrees of broken out.
No clue how your skin will react to it but I use Micellar cleansing water and a gentle cloth to remove things like makeup/primer. I find it doesn't aggravate my skin.
If that doesn't work for you I would go for a gentle non foaming cleanser like the Sukin Sensitive Skin Cleansing Gel. My skin can't stand foam cleansers but tolerates this one well.
I use this Sulphur Soap from Amazon. Seems to be doing the trick, but I have no idea of its comparability to what you were prescribed. Maybe try checking out an Australian pharmacy (I have used ChemistDirect for Finacea before) for the same stuff that was expensive where you are?

this is a "hydrating lotion" in asian beauty but its used like a western toner. My skin loves it! Its unscented and helps draw in moisture.
I think when its on the cheeks it could be called sebaceous hyperplasia, but honestly, there is so little information about phyma online and most of the information I've found assumes it is only Rhinophyma. However, I think there is a variant that comprises skin thickening, sebaceous hyperplasia, and enlarged pores which I see a lot. This poor fellow appears to have the very end stage of this sort of condition: https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/CONTINUING-MEDICAL-EDUCATION-Rosacea-%3A-I-.-Etiology-Crawford-Pelle/31b0e9eaa3c866b6a2901fce63e211736fbbdd8d/figure/5
Been researching this a ton and it seems, for phyma at least, that low dose isotretinoin has yielded positive results. I have an appointment with my Derm on Wednesday and am going to arrive with a binder full of studies so that she agrees to prescribe this to me. You need to find a Derm who looks closely and pays attention. Unfortunately I've found so far that expensive dermatologists who specialize in cosmetic procedures like injections and lasers are the only ones that pay close attention.
I am staying far away from microneedling and lasers, though, that is for sure. Too many horror stories.
It might be, but it could also be KPRF. See a dermatologist for a diagnosis before you start treating it with prescription products.
"The prevalence of smoking among those with rosacea was significantly higher, as 66 percent of the patients with rosacea were active or ex-smokers, while 31 percent those without rosacea were active or former smokers. In addition, the proportion of active smokers with subtype 1 was significantly higher: 43.5 percent of subtype 1 rosacea patients actively consumed at least one pack of cigarettes per day, while only 17 percent of the control group were active smokers."
I just thought about something.
You may also want to consider Purito products. Specifically their Dermacide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack. It's a night cream that hinges on centella and several of its derivatives.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081RC4MW8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2PSI981BR43AS&psc=1
Perhaps that might be a combo that works for your skin. The non-spf version of the LaRoche moisturizer in the morning and the Purito cream at night.
Cerave makes my skin tingle, and it dries me out, same with LRP. The only cleanser I have found that doesn’t dry me out and give me redness is Paula's choice softening cream cleanser from their skin recovery line. It’s been a significant game-changer for me. I don’t think the water sprays are a necessity or a major game-changer, but I do like them.

So many acne products didn't work or they contributed to redness. Sulfur worked for me!
I use a Jade roller. It is a temporary thing, but I was surprised how well it stayed cold.
Here is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HJ3TW21/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_SF3J63AG83AYXYT33BYT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have a smaller one that ai carry in my purse. And I have this set at work and one at home.
I also have some ice packs and a mini fan that ai can use as well. (Also, those frisbees that fold into a little circle and go in a pouch work as great fans! They are like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q4MQZH7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_0Q3AYH2HFM9QWWY1MPQK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I've seen them lots of places, and have some that were given as freebies by companies.)
Good luck finding things that work for you!
I use this tinted compact by Avene- I love it. It’s very light, blends well and gives great protection…and basically doubles as a foundation.
Eau Thermale Avene High Protection Tinted Compact, Broad Spectrum SPF 50+, UVA/UVB Blue Light Protection, Water Resistant, Non-Greasy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001NF2A3G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XCHK9W5QBV5TKPNXGHP0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've been recommending kinesys spf 50 a ton. It's all chemical, fragrance and alcohol free. Canadian brand, I purchase off amazon. It goes on a bit greasy, but once it's dried down it's like I'm wearing nothing. (It's a spray - I spray it on my hand and rub it in.) I have fairly normal to oily skin and it works as a moisturizer for me. I had pretty much exhausted my tinted physical options due to irritation/dryness/thick or greasy feeling and was scared to try chemical, but it's been the most comfortable to wear and I apply and re-apply like I'm supposed to because I don't hate wearing it. I hope you find something that works - it's a struggle!

Oh thank you so much :) It’s a German one from the pharmacy but it’s freely available.
This is the brand I use:Blücher-Schering
I have had a super hard time with this. I have found the Neutrogena sensitive creamy cleanser works best for me. Its soap free but sometimes I don't feel like my skin gets clean enough. My cousin turned me on to this cleanser you can get on Amazon called Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash Everything...literally everything seems to make me flair. All of everyone's holy grails on here...everything but this one seems to work. I was very hesitant because it has some essential oils in it which is a known irritant but somehow its working for me. Its a thin cleanser and a little goes a long way. It foams up as you wash. Might be worth a try. As far as moisturizers go I still have not found something that I feel gives me enough hydration because again everything seems to bother me. So for now I use this toner/essence. It's very soothing and if HA doesn't bother you I think it's pretty good and inexpensive. I usually just use a few layers of it. I've also tried The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. Its ok but I'm not too keen with the silicone feel. Sunscreen I am still on the hunt for one that works, doesn't leave a huge white cast, doesn't feel like makeup, doesn't make my skin even more drying and I don't mind wearing every day. Tall order but since I can only stand mineral sunscreens I almost feel like its impossible to find. Sorry this post is so long but hope it helps.
I also have dry skin, no acne, and use .75% metro cream. I like Hada Labo Tokyo gentle hydrating foaming cleanser and buy it on Amazon. It is moisturizing even though it is a foaming cleanser and has a pH level of 5.5 (the skin's natural pH level is around 5.5). I'm looking for a good moisturizer, too. For SPF, I prefer to use Japanese or Korean sunscreens because I think Zinc makes me redder. In the winter, I use Isehan's Kiss Me Mommy sunscreen because it is very moisturizing, has zero white cast, is fragrance free and doesn't pill under make-up.
Got it....
I ask because I did take the Amazon Ivermectin orally once to kill the demodex internally as well. Its 100% OK for human consumption. A lot of users have reported doing this for either demodex or scabies. I was desperate and I did it. Im 100% OK and it worked in conjunction with topical application of the same product.
This is the brand I purchased, squeezed a 200lb dose and swallowed it before bed. It tastes like the worst apple chapstick ever. I dont know if its the oral dose or the topical dose that helped but it did....
After I finish the soolantra, i doubt I will purchase it again from the pharmacy. I will continue to purchase the medication linked above as its stronger and much much cheaper.
Good luck, bro!
Check out Melazepam on Amazon. I can't compare, as it's the only one I've used, but it works for me.
Ecological Formulas Melazepam Cream https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001WUEJ4U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jucAzbYQNQ1JS
Sooooo... wow, I can't believe it's been like a month since I started this stuff. I patch tested on my neck for two weeks, and have been applying to my face for two weeks.
Overall, the MIZON Snail Recovery Gel Cream is... just okay. It doesn't feel very moisturizing (and I would call my skin normal/oily), and a few times it's felt itchy and like it made my skin tight - uncomfortably tight. Like when I smiled, it looked like I had extra tiny wrinkles on the plump sections of my cheeks that definitely shouldn't be wrinkling. Kind of like the tightness/dryness you might get after using Stridex (red box) pads.
And it seems I'm getting a couple tiny pimples here and there from it, no crazy breakouts, but still something more than before.
So, overall I'm not impressed. Sad, because I wanted this to work!
I'm not really willing to go the asianbeauty route of having 4-5 essence/serums/moisturizers to have enough on my face to moisturize it thoroughly, especially since trying out only one product takes so long. I'm already applying my Rx Finacea and waiting for 20-30 minutes, and then applying the MIZON. I don't have enough time for additional products in my regimen right now.
I'll probably go another 4 weeks just to make sure. I'm on 1 of 2 - 1.5 oz tubes I got from Amazon, so gotta figure out what to do with it after!
Edit: Okay, after a little poking around (after I remembered hearing about a DIFFERENT AB product that was supposedly moisturizing), I am tempted to continue to try the Snail Gel in the am, with my Cerave PM in the evening, and possibly try out this Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Mask since it was recommended so highly on this blog post as a day/night moisturizer.
My skin looks very similar to this. I have had little luck in the last decade getting the redness gone completely, but it is manageable. Reducing the redness by a great factor and then covering up what little remains is my strategy.
Cleanser: Elta MD Foaming Enzyme cleanser. This is great because it requires no physical agitation of your skin. You get it on, you rub it around real quick before it starts foaming, and then you just let it do its thing.
Moisturizers: La Roche Posay Rosaliac. This used to be my go to. It is light, absorbs quickly and does not irritate my skin.
I also use this seb derm cream from amazon. It is wonderful for combination skin. Really helps moisturize.
Sunscreen:
Blue Lizard. I use the sensitive skin. I love it. Mineral sunscreens are less damaging than chemical for my skin. But I only use it when I am spending time outdoors. I work in a kitchen and as such don't spend a ton of time outdoors on work days, so my SPF factor generally just comes from the redness corrector.
Redness Fix/Cover
So I have two parts to this. The first thing I use out of the shower is a small bit of Azelaic Acid. I order the tubes of Finacea from an australian pharmacy since apparently I need a doctor to order it in the US.
The second part is my very favorite product; it is called All Calm. It is AMAZING. It goes on like a very light, almost oily clay. It really brings down the shine of the redness, and absorbs well so that it doesn't look like you have clay on your face. It requires very little, and while it is expensive, it lasts a VERY long time.
Hope any of this helps! I've been dealing with this kind of skin for about a dozen years now and it sucks! Things get better with care though!
I ordered two of the three pack on amazon for a total of 6 tubes.
https://www.amazon.com/Ivermectin-Paste-Dewormer-Flavor-3-Pack/dp/B01LXKF2VW
After cleansing at night, I apply a mixture of 1/2 moisturizing + 1/2 horse paste to my face. My moisturizer contains tea tree oil and jojoba which seem to work like a charm with the HP. Here’s a link for that too if you’re interested:
https://www.amazon.com/TreeActiv-Treatment-Strength-Clearing-Sensitive/dp/B01BPCAWK4
Add a thin layer to damp skin a couple times a day. After it soaks in a bit, layer with aquaphor. Dab excess with a tissue.
I use the skinceuticals sheer physical UV defense for spf. I have also tried the etude house sunprise (a little greasy and streaky) which didn't cause any problems, but I prefer the skinceuticals one in terms of formulation. I'm not particularly worried about white casts usually, as I'm super pale (around a NC10, slightly paler). Last month after a vbeam session, my derm put the EltaMD spf on my face and I proceeded to break out in painful cysts and itchy bumps the next morning :( I haven't had cysts or bad acne for 8 months until that incident. I knew it was not the vbeam, because the cysts were on my forehead, which I did not do vbeam on.

For moisturizer, I used the laneige water sleeping mask for years but it never did enough for me as I have really dry skin. I currently use the etude house soon jung centella hydro barrier cream, with the matching cleanser. For what it's worth, I think my saving grace was actually HOCl, which I spray on my face (morning and night) after cleansing, then apply moisturizer, then another spray on top. I spray once or twice throughout the day and whenever I have to wear face masks. The brand doesn't really matter, I personally use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LP6FZNR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Oh man, I wonder what was in that sunscreen that would cause you to react so much! I hope you get back to a place where you can start using the products you enjoy again.
I do want to say wearing a SPF face cover is an useful option when sunscreen just is not working for you (been there during my worst flares). I wear this when I do anything outdoorsy in winter time and this when it is summer. It helps to cut down on the amount of sunscreen I need and protects me from all the elements that aggravate rosacea!
I get like this at my gym. I have a towel that when you wet it, turns cold. It comes in a plastic container type thing you can keep it in. Maybe you could keep it in a drawer.

I tried The Ordinary and I liked it, but in a whim I bought this one on Amazon and I like it better. Just ordered my 2nd tube. I know it wasn’t one of your three, but just thought I’d recommend. ZealSea Azelaic Acid 10% Facial... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SLRC4MF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Heat is a big trigger for me. But I can understand your reluctance to leave your career. It sounds like a great job!
Hang in there to see how the medications work. Meanwhile, there are cooling packs to wear around your neck to mitigate some of the heat. Here's one from Amazon US. https://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Flex-Neck-Pack-Microwaveable/dp/B01M08DV3R
Drinking ice water may help too. Breathable clothing is necessary for you. Sorry if these are repeats.
Hope something works for you!!
Homeopathic stuff follows its own labelling conventions, but see the above link -- Prosacea literally claims approx 1% (...by volume) on their own website; the 1x(10%) is intentionally misleading.
There are literally tons of sulfur treatments out there on the market. You might look at something like the De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment for leave-on treatments, or something like Dermaharmony sulfur soap for a rinse-away treatment instance if you looking for something less harsh. Just about any pharmacy might have something similar on hand, though you might have to ask at the counter.
It would be nice if treating rosacea was as easy as going to Walmart and looking for something loudly labeled; sadly, it's not. But if Prosacea is working for you, don't let me rain on your parade too hard. Some people doo find it helpful, perhaps because of its low sulfur content.
This is interesting, I def do think my situation is due to yeast, I actually follow a fungal acne safe skincare routine, except for the metrocream, but in my normal life that is what I do because it works for me. I haven't done stool sample in forever actually, to see what's up in my gut. I've been trying to get these probiotics: https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Bio-Kult-probi%C3%B3tico-Bacillus-objetivos-cognitiva/dp/B086TPM6MT
Someone said they had been amazing for their sebderm, but I have started probiotics since finishing the antibiotics (biokult doesn't ship to my country)... I do def believe there's a crazy party of yeast going on in my gut, specially because as I mentioned somewhere else, this explosion in my face is due to stress, and the stress def manifests itself in my face but also in my tummy, even so before in my stomach than in the face, so it certainly must be a disaster down there.
Depending on the sunscreen, you could make it worse. Limit sun exposure, though a little is good, a little more often is better than a lot less often.
Definitely find a sunscreen that works for you though. I use the Purpose SPF 10. I have to avoid avebenzone.
https://www.amazon.com/PURPOSE-Dual-Treatment-Moisturizer-Pack/dp/B01BV3J6JU/
I take one generic xyzal and night, and one generic zyrtec in the morning. It is ongoing help that keeps everything knocked down several notches. I also drink 1/2 teaspoon baking soda with 12oz water in the morning daily. This makes an enormous difference day to day, especially if I avoid trigger foods (chocolate, soy protein, hot peppers).
Add in Chlorpheniramine maleate for flare ups, when I indulge in lots of trigger foods, and keeps everything under control. I will take 8mg up to three times a day. Though, this is last resort, but works better than newer antihistamines and is cheap. Normally one day of this banishes any flares. But if I avoid triggers I really don’t need it. Also I will use Aquanil HC Lotion 1% hydrocortisone to banish flares, I know we’re “not supposed to” but works great using it here and there when needed.
Food is medicine for you, while pregnant. Ok would recommend to eat and drink a lot more anti inflammatory foods as you can get in your diet. It’s good for your and your baby. Dark leafy greens, lots of berries. Cut back on sugar and dairy. Anti inflammatory diet link.
This is cheaper. There is also some for around $11.
I take these ones. So expensive but absolutely worth it in my opinion!
I've found that adding Hyaluronic Acid has done more for my moisture barrier than moisturizer (I also use La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume 5).
[Here's the one I use](https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Hadalabo-Gokujun-Hyaluronic-Hydrating-Lotion/dp/B074GX619Q9 -- I splash water on my face then splash this on and my skin stays so moisturized.
CreekBaby Organic Sea Salt Spray... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G37VNB8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I spray some on a Colton pad and wipe my face and let it sit for like an hour then I put moisturizer on top of it. No issues with being dry yet!
I got it on Amazon- Led Face Mask Light Therapy,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MDK70V9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I used the green, red, blue lights
The red helps with redness for me. Blue is supposed to be for acne and green for pigmentation. But the red is what I see help with the redness if I do it 15 min a day. I saw results within a few days.
I’ve also had a red light before but that was dang annoying to sit in front of with goggles on lol
Awww I loved the Keep Cool sunscreen so much too! More than the Round Lab Birch Juice one.
I currently have these two sunscreens shipping in, I'll update you once I try them:
*These are both alcohol free, fragrance free, & paraben free :D
I bought 2 brand son Amazon. First was Curativa Bay, which I thought was good. Then I decided to try another cheaper brand as my sister is using it for her acne too, Briotech. Currently using Briotech for the last two days and can’t say how effective it is yet.
Rodan and Fields is not exactly cheap either since it's an MLM product with inflated pricing. I've never even heard of a dermatologist recommending them. The ingredients look mostly okay though, although it includes a fragrance.
There are sulfur soaps for much cheaper that do much the same thing. This one includes salicylic acid like the R+F product described: https://www.amazon.com/DermaHarmony-Sulfur-Salicylic-Acid-Soap/dp/B01MCR5XB0
Salicylic acid is anti-inflammatory, but can be irritating for rosacea too. While it can help rosacea esp. if you have acne-like symptoms too, not everyone tolerates it well. I seem to do great with the sulfur/SA soap, but not everyone does.
It's also important to note that both soap and sulfur can be very drying; a quality moisturizer is going to be pretty important, and it can also be helpful to stagger it with a gentler non-soap cleanser.
It looks like the "seaberry oil" from fresh that I used to use has been discontinued. It wasn't the elixir, which is the one that costs 190$ for 30 ml. It was this one. But the price shown on Amazon is very inflated because it's a discontinued product.
If you order from Sephora, you can always return any product that doesn't work out for you for a refund.
If you find many oils to be too heavy for your skin, you would probably like rosehip seed oil. It's one of the dry (balancing) oils and is excellent for oily or acne-prone skin. The Ordinary has a rosehip seed oil too.
Yep! So the link in my first comment is a .018% solution (180ppm). There’s also .014% (140ppm). Both strengths are used for topical/ophthalmic/oral so I don’t think it matters. I just buy the .018% because it seems more multi use. I’ll link smaller bottles of both strengths below.
Hi! I take this one. You don't have to get the same brand, probably matching the EPA and DHA levels would do the job.
I started off with 1 pill just to see if I would react poorly. After a few days, I bumped up to 3/day right before a meal. Now I'm at 2/day and I could probably go lower but I'm too afraid to try, haha.
One more note: I read somewhere that the ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 in your body is more important than the amount consumed. If you eat a lot of fried foods, you may need more omega 3 in your diet.
might be classified eczema
this is one of the few products with an ingredient to reduce redness https://www.amazon.com/Eucerin-Eczema-Relief-Cream-Eczema-Prone/dp/B07V4NVKJT/
also try this one, it used to be called "Pro", it has a lot of good ingredients https://www.cetaphil.com/us/moisturizers/eczema-restoraderm-soothing-moisturizer/302990230208.html
and of course everyone's baseline is aveeno eczema cream
I've used and am using a couple different eyelid wipes with tea tree oil. They do seem to help but haven't cured me as I'm sure you know, there is no actual cure per se. Usually, you can find the Ocusoft version in the store, at least in the US. The other kind I use, I have to order off Amazon. Some reviewers suggest cutting them in half to save money as they are rather expensive. I usually cut the Ocusoft one in half and the other in thirds as they are so large. Good luck and I'd at least try the wipes or the oil with Q tips I guess.
So this is what works for me, however please patch test first and try slowly just in case. People can be allergic to this oil as it is in the ragweed family. Also it must be “high linoleic” . High linoleic acid oils are better for acne and oily skin. High oleic acid oils are better for none acne and very dry skin. This is key!
I, just two months ago, had constant redness, irritation, zits, etc that looked to be rosacea type 2 but i was not positive. It could have just been allergies to whatever i had been using on my face, i am so sensitive apparently. I had originally been trying to use the most gentle of products and I still was having problems.
Now, my face is no longer red or breaking out. Like I never realized how pale I am because my face had been red for two years and now It is not. I have not gotten the pimples on my cheeks like usual, any that I get are very small not inflamed hormonal on chin and go away quickly. I used to have badly inflamed spots on cheeks that would not go away or wake up with weird rashy pustules on cheeks. Not anymore!
Routine: I rinse face with water in the morning, pat dry so it is damp, and then apply a finger length worth of this oil all over my face. At night, i wash my face with “vanicream liquid cleanser” , pat dry to damp, apply finger length worth of oil on face.
Oil: https://www.amazon.com/SAFFLOWER-SEED-OIL-FACE-MOISTURIZER/dp/B07257NTJY
Again, this is what works for me, so please use caution trying it for yourself. I also had a breakout of PD last week after using vaseline on my lips overnight, and once i stopped using that, i just use the safflower oil and the PD went away and is now just a fading red mark. So again, it worked for me but no guarantees that it works for everyone!!
Same here! My face always clears up on vacation 🤭
I filled up some tinted soap dispensers with distilled water and keep them close to the bathroom sink. Usually when I double cleanse I take some cotton pads and drain them with distilled water, otherwise I just put some water on my hands and try to wash the dirt off my face like everyone else. 😂 (https://www.amazon.com/Dispenser-Stainless-16ounce-Rustproof-Essential/dp/B07Q2GTWBM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=2XZSJENRVVKYM&keywords=soap+dispenser+tinted&qid=1657812929&sprefix=soap+dispenser+tinte%2Caps%2C289&sr=8-1)
I also have many cheap spray bottles that I filled up with distilled water. I keep them everywhere... I also love to use them before putting my sunscreen or other skincare ingredients on. :)
I use Asian beauty products, because I had such difficulty finding something that helped in western brands. The moisturizer that saved my dry, dehydrated skin with rosacea last year is Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive cream. I’m using it again now. Pyunkang Yul is another great brand for me. I’ve tried the Moisture cream, but it wasn’t enough for me so I switched to the Nutrition cream. I LOVED it, but there’s been a significant price increase on the ATO line since I started it last year, so I switched to their Calming Moisture line.
Also, I don’t know if you can get the Soon Jung cream through iHerb there, but definitely shop around, because you can get good deals on it on different sites. I hope this helps!
I haven’t tried it personally, but honestly this one looks like it could be a good fit for daytime for you: Belei (Amazon brand) Ultra Sensitive Soothing Day Moisturizer . It does not have niacinamide or hyaluronic acid, it has fatty alcohols which I have had good experience with for barrier repair, and it even has a UV filter, which would be ideal to prevent further irritation from UV rays. It seems pretty affordable for what it is, and it’s on Amazon UK so it shouldn’t be too tough to get delivered to you.
As for whether it will work for you or not, I hope it will, but of course your skin is still likely to be angry for a few days yet no matter what you choose. 😣
Ecological Formulas Melazepam... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001WUEJ4U?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have what you have. It used to be worse and this worked for me. When ever made me flares up I use this for 3 weeks and my skin is clear again. Use over moisturizer to start because it has this weird burning stinging feel that quickly dissipates.
I have seen people with the portable shoulder/neck fans, they could help on your walks? No idea anything else :-(

There are definitely too many sunscreens on the market, it took me forever to find one that does the job. To date, my favorite one is Leader sunscreen.
It doesn't irritate my skin when I spend a long time directly under the sun.
I think It's this one-
So far I've been using Leader Sunscreen, and unlike other products I've tried, this one doesn't seem to make any issues. I use this whenever I go to the beach and it works like a charm!
I think It's this one-
I just started using this one, which has lactiobionic acid (a PHA) + azelaic acid: https://www.amazon.com/ZealSea-Treatment-Pigmentation-Blackhead-Irritation/dp/B09SLRC4MF/ref=sr_1_11?crid=3ILDRVSSTXXAS&keywords=azelaic+acid+gel&qid=1653250864&sprefix=azaelic+acid+gel%2Caps%2C246&sr=8-11
Happy with it so far, no irritation at all and my skin is extremely reactive
i suggest you get some of this, and use it two to three times a day.

give it a try.
I’ve been using this for a few weeks and really enjoying it:
[ comfort zone ] Remedy Defense Cream, Soothing Nourishing Cream, 2.11 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XD65SNZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E3GVN3RDMTVBTMF42FG7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Short Update: I‘m now using this SPF https://www.eucerinus.com/products/sun-protection/oil-control-face-sunscreen and so far (2nd day) it‘s great. No greasy skin at all and no reaction so far. I‘m also using a face wash in the evening now: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Balea-Ultra-Sensitive-Wash-Vegan/dp/B075WC74CF feels good so far but I have the feeling that my skin might get dry in a couple of days. So I might try the SebaMed and CeraVe alternatives as well since I don‘t want to use a moisturizer to keep it as minimalistic as possible.
I currently use this one, it's super gentle and I'm really happy I found it: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B008RL6O7M?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_MP4XDT0S77Z0GGJ6MN4M
I've also been using CeraVe's Hydrating Cleanser for years and I may switch back to it for winter. It's the only CeraVe product I love and I never had any issues with it but I've heard from others with rosacea that it wasn't for them, so maybe try a travel size first.
Someone recommended Avène Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion to me but unfortunately it broke me out, so I'm using it sporadically as kind of a double cleanse to gently remove make up and that's the only way I can make it work (massage it into dry face, go back in with wet hands and gently massage, then apply one of the aforementioned cleansers on top, massage and rinse it all off).
I also like to apply Bioderma Sensibio H2O AR with a cotton pad and rinse it off with distilled water.
Lots of baby products generally tend to have mild formulations, too.
I am a woman. So, I use a tinted one. But any mineral sunscreen with zinc or titanium dioxide will work. Like this one Aveeno Positively Mineral Sensitive Skin Daily Sunscreen Lotion for Face, Broad Spectrum SPF 50 with 100% Zinc Oxide, Lightweight & Non-Comedogenic Facial Sunscreen, Travel-Size, 2 fl. oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HS25PSG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_KJZ0BKRJGY6ECQ9NP9SV

This is the soap I bought. I don't feel qualified to answer your question about using it on very dry skin; sorry! My skin isn't particularly dry, so I'm not sure on that.
Here is the soap I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QKRQN26/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_GBY5B5MD9HKK1XZ4FXK3
I moisturize with vanicreme in the morning and at night so I haven't found the sulfur to be overly drying. But I believe it is drying if you're not moisturizing.
I bought the red grow lamps they sell at the hardware store and set it up in my room with a regular lamp. it has worked wonders for me. it kills infections and helps with healing. I don't notice food triggers or sun shine triggers either, i think my flairs are emotional.
Here is the one i have:
Good questions! Link below. It is chemical. I've found that I have to rub mineral sunscreens in harder and it causes more flare ups! I've always liked chemical sunscreens better but it was hard to find one that I actually want to wear every day! I'm pretty tan, too, so white cast is an issue with many sunscreens for me.
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+/PA++++ 50g/1.75oz (set of 4) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TL73T8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_6MXN38FMR986BFXHBGW9
Currently use and love the Original, or any of the similar sunscreens by Colorescience: https://www.amazon.com/Colorescience-Sunforgettable-Total-Protection-Shield/dp/B07FGL41R5/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=3SD6NSJKSNU51&keywords=colorescience&qid=1651290236&sprefix=Colorescien%2Caps%2C105&sr=8-2-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUX...
Also have used this with success before. The tint is just a little dark but it is an awesome product: https://www.amazon.com/EltaMD-SKINCARE-Elements-Broad-Spectrum-Sunscreen/dp/B079YXK3L8/ref=sxts_rp_s_a1_0?crid=V07J2PKW075H&cv_ct_cx=elta+md+elements+spf+44+tinted&keywords=elta+md+elements+spf+44+tinted&pd_rd_i=B079YXK3L8&pd_rd_r=...
This was me last year and I have MCAS. Do you have any other symptoms besides flushing?
Low-histamine and low-fodmap are meant to be temporary. Eventually you are supposed to introduce foods back into your life and determine which ones cause problems for you. If all of them are causing problems, its not the food, its your immune system/histamine. This is how I found out I have MCAS, literally would react to everything including the sun, heat, excercise, etc.
My only advice for the flushing that has helped me, is this sulfur bar soap, probiotics (keifer and probiotic powder), and physical NOT CHEMICAL 50+++ sunscreen. You can also try an antihistamine ~20 minutes before you eat and see if that reduces the reaction.
Also, when my skin can tolerate literally nothing but water, this is an absolute godsend. Really helps the burning and redness.
I also have rosacea it took my a year of trial and error to find a cleanser that was gentle enough and this is it! Avene Tolerance extremely gentle cleanser lotion. It says you don’t have to wash it off but I do. Goodluck!

Terribly sorry I was mistaken as one commenter pointed out. Def wasn’t trying to spread misinformation. It’s Beef Kidney that contains DAO. I use the same brand and think the visual branding got me mixed up. This is the one I take:
Ancestral Supplements Kidney (High in Selenium, B12, DAO) — Supports Kidney, Urinary, Histamine Health (180 Capsules) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078K8L672/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_20QW683MSMBVKDRSX99P
While you're waiting to see the derm, you could try applying Prid drawing salve and covering it to see if it will resolve. The Prid will either shrink it away or bring it to the surface and it might take a week or so. I've treated several sebaceous cysts this way.
It is Korean. Here you go https://www.amazon.com/TIAM-Niacinamide-Vitamin-Arbutin-Hyperpigmentation/dp/B07MJ3PJ2N
I found it to be better than TO because it doesn't pill when I layer until unlike TO in my experience
Neutrogena makes an amazing tinted moisturizer that somehow has great coverage. It isn't "foundation" so it is nice and light. I've used it for many years without issues.
