Double up your paper, the outside layer can be not perfect, and smaller than the inside sheet, but make sure your inside sheet is perfectly straight and aligned properly. Always double it up, and make sure there are no weird creases or folds where you don't want them. Don't both with expensive shit, I've tried most of them, and this is what I use now for every single press.
Here's a 12pk of 4oz ball jars in case you do a really big press.

For the most part though, I just reuse the nicer jars from the dispo. Just clean them with ISO.
You should really get some hygrometers to see what they're at. And throw your flowers into a glass jar with one and some type of hydration method if they're not at the right humidity.

Bringing your flower up to the right humidity is probably the most important step for best results.
I use these. The place I normally get them from is out of stock but if you’re willing to pay $2 a pop then these should fit your needs.

This is the one I use. I only use it for a day or two for hydrating, I'm not certain it is airtight or not since the humidity dies down somewhat quickly after dropping buds in, but that could also be due to the buds soaking in that humidity, Idk.
If you’re willing to spend $500 you can get a 4 ton dabpress shipped to your door in a couple days from amazon , but if I’m being honest you only really need it if you’re pressing a fuck ton of it, or if you’re pressing flower as well. you’re better off to just press sift with a hair straightener because sift doesn’t require as much pressure as say flower, or a big patty of bubble hash
I love my press and use it daily but I only press flower because any time I’ve gone to press “kief” or grinder grade sift that isn’t super clean dry sift, you’re going to get dark product more often than not. Not always, but for the most part it’s a lot of micro particles of contaminate , and thus I wouldn’t want you to spend the money on a press just for this specific purpose just for it to not work out the way you want.
TL;DR: here if you’re wanting to pull the trigger regardless but prepare to be pressing flower more frequently as opposed to sift from shake. Hope this helps.
Depends on how much you've got, I suppose. I skip the live part and just cure my buds like normal. Then I'll freeze them overnight with $3 worth of ISO cleaned and paper towel dried quarters. Yep, the coins, 12 of them. I have a screen I bought off Amazon, see below for link, and I replace the flat part of the mason jar lid with it, and use the rim part of the lid to screw the screen down and onto the jar. While still freezing cold, turn it upside down and start shaking the crap out of it for a few minutes over a large, clean piece of glass or mirror. Watch for the powder coming off to go from blond to green, and try to stop as it gets darker but doesn't quite reach green color. The quarters will break the buds down into small pieces and knock trichomes off. Then just scrape it up with a razor, put it in a 37 or 25 bag and press it around 165, very slow pressure ramp up to avoid blow outs. I then take the processed weed and add it to my edibles jar I keep in the freezer. Same with the pucks after I press the hash rosin, so nothing goes to waste. I also have a bubble hash washer and bags, but I hate running and drying bubble hash, so I just do this dry sift method now. Never tried it with live material, but may flash freeze some buds some time with dry ice and run them in the hash shaker. Anyway, here's the screen I use:

No worries. BTW, here's my newest little trick I've come up with. I've got a bubble washer and bags, but think bubble hash is just a huge pain in the ass to make and dry. So I bought the small screen below on Amazon, which you can cut into two pieces to make two "hash shakers". Take a large mason jar, not overfilled maybe 2/3 max, and add a couple bucks in quarters (wash them in ISO and dry completely first). Throw that in the freezer for a day or two until the jar, buds, and quarters are completely frozen. Then take your jars out, and replace the flat piece of the lid with the screen, using the rim part of the lid to tighten it onto the jar. Turn upside down over a large mirror or piece of glass (I use an old window I cleaned up really well), and start shaking. It will take a few minutes, but the quarters will break your buds up into shake, and knock the trichomes off. They fall through the screen onto your glass for collection with a razor blade. Make sure you stop shaking when the powder coming out goes from blond to a greenish tint, or else you will end up with a bunch of plant matter. Then you can press that in a 25u or 37u bag and have hash rosin without hassling with dry ice or water. I throw the leftover plant matter into the edibles jar for later, as you won't get a great yield with dry sift and waste not, want not. :)

Mine may also have been cheaper because they’re smaller but they’re perfect for me here in Pa where ounces are between 250-600 silk sceens
I’ve been using these.. I can pack just about 5g in each one. 7-Milliliter Glass Lip Balm Jars (24-Pack).25-Ounce Thick-Walled Containers (7ml Clear with Black Metal Lids) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0797DCWF7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JKH0BBWG56YX089QGC2B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I had this stuff laying around, and it basically falls apart under the pressure, even using 2 sheets. Is Reynolds legitimately that much better? Just curious which expensive brands your referring to?
Only parchment I will use including for cooking!
No bleed through, no rips, no blowouts! I can usually find it at a co-op type store locally or Safeway sometimes has it.

I've got both the bottle tech (round tube) and rectangle pre-press, but I almost always do bottle tech. Unless you are pressing large amounts, bottle tech yield is always noticeably higher. I usually do two pucks per press, with each puck being 1/8 oz. Pressing 1/4 oz. at a time, I can do a few ounces in an hour. When I do use the rectangle, I actually stuff the bag before I pre-press, because it can be a pain in the ass to load a pre-pressed chunk into the bag after the fact without some sort of home made shoe horn. Also, it helps to use tubes rather than cut bags if you don't like dealing with keeping the flap folded over. With the tubes, you can cut your "bag" a little bit longer, allowing enough material to fold over the ends. I also fold them like a Xmas gift, making the ends into triangles to minimize the amount of bag exposed on the edges. Here's the tube material I am referencing:

I'd recommend using a clamp (You can get ones like this from the hardware store for like $4), but the doorway tech is interesting
I have a nugsmasher mini...Use Reynolds parchment paper, Get a collection plate to make collection easier and try putting the rosin in the fridge after pressing for 5-10 mins and try collecting it then that helps stabilize it temporarily for temps try starting at 180* up to 220* the higher you go in temp the more shatter like the consistency. collection plate
I got a different pump as the dabpress pump is unavailable.
