You’re going to need to source two connectors (same as what’s already crimped on). Which type of connector depends on the type of crimper you have. I ended up buying the following since I needed to crimp pins for the ignition plug. The male/female spades in the kit should work for the CDI.

Thanks! It's just your run of the mill cable wrap. I think I got it off Amazon, better looking than the electrical tape the stock harness has.
I just got my 2023 Ruckus last weekend. At 6'4", I am immediately finding that my legs are very cramped, even for short rides. Forward mounted pegs, like this are my first thought at improving comfort. Although, drilling through the frame and covering the VIN tag, don't seem ideal to me.
Would lowering the seat also help? My first thought would be that it would make it worse for a taller person. I'd also rather not lose the space for storage under the standard size seat. Currently using a Chase Harper bag.
You can find it on eBay but it’s pretty expensive…

If you buy it directly from Japan via Amazon you’ll get the best price…
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B004H8ZNDU
¥8631 = $59.79
Shipping will depend on where you are but it was about $50 to me and only an extra $4 to get express shipping that only took 2 days.
Nice - yeah, that'd be my worry too.
I picked up one of these little mounts and have mine mounted on the plastic under the storage area under the seat - sort of next to the rear shock. Blends in pretty well and was easy to stick on there.

Best move is to take it to a muffler shop and pay them $20 to weld it back together.
This same thing happened to me so I bought a $10 lawn mower muffler, and paid a shop $20 to weld it on. Looks fine, runs fine, sounds fine.
Wouldn't something like this work? I don't know the size of the stock headlights but I am sure searching for a X inch cover would yield some results.
I ordered a rear rack, a 24qt milk crate, and a pet liner with straps included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WJF65MJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_JXDQ6SRRHPYB5JXY8P3Q
My boy is only 19-20 pounds, so what I’m doing won’t work for a larger dog. And make sure you get a good rear rack that is well made and secure. I’m still waiting for my rack to come in the mail, so I haven’t ridden him around yet. But Im pretty stoked to take him on that first ride
I’m in the same boat and got this cheap one from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Scooter-Waterproof-Motorcycle-Dustproof-Resistance/dp/B07W8FRK61?pd_rd_w=6wsgt&content-id=amzn1.sym.94349326-ca8a-4b0d-94f0-6931485b8573&pf_rd_p=94349326-ca8a-4b0d-94f0-6931485b8573&pf_rd_r=6G1SM3Y53P01EPN2V5MM&a... size M. Probably won’t last forever but for how small the Ruckus is, seems to fit much better than other motorcycle covers available online.

Do not lower the seat, it's only going to make things worse. You need to raise it, and push it back. I'm quite happy with this seat adjustment kit:

I'm not tall. But I hate the stupid feeling of being crunched up on a bike, like I'm riding a 5 year old's tricycle. I have it on, using the middle setting, and find it gives me plenty of breathing room to let my legs stretch out in front of me.

my ruckus had a low beam burnt out. if both low did burn out then yes the high beams could still work. i hopped on amazon and ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/HELLA-HS1-Standard-Halogen-Bulb/dp/B00IKLS9ZE

I've had really good luck with this one. Spending a little more for that style would probably get you one that last longer but mines holding up great so far ~6 months
I like it but I run an R6 with no rear bracket for the OEM. Appreciate the suggestion just needing something more like this that is compatible with the ruckus.
The rear rack is from Steady Garage. Very sturdy, but it has a litle bit of wiggle where it rests on the back frame. This has lead to it scratching the shit out of that area. NO big deal if you never take it off, which I never do.
The bag is a packir bag. Although the one linked is what i tried to order, but I got a top open only one. HOneslty though, top open only is better. Bag has lived outside on the bike for ~1year, very water proof. Very tough velcro. Very high quality. Fits plenty for some basic errands.
Here is the link to an OfferUp posting. It's in Federal Way but that's close. He told me he had a few he was getting rid of. One with a title and one without. As well as a Chinese knock off. If the link doesn't work just go to OfferUp and search "Honda Ruckus" and set the distance to max.
These are what I have on my ruckus, plug and play. you are welcome

This one worked great for me. It even held onto my phone through my wreck.
This one seems to be great so far, at least on an e-bike.
I would look at something like this.
It's called a "disc lock" as it's intended to be used by going through the front disc. I have to assume you can find a similar place on the Ruckus. Combine it with a nice thick chain and that's about as good as it gets. I bought mine at big box place. Something around 15 feet of chain in a bag.
Other things:
Cover. Out of sight/out of mind.
Tracker. If you have an iPhone the AirTag is a pretty cheap solution. It's not 100% because it does rely on it being near iPhones. The thief will also eventually know it's there if they have an iPhone. Invoxia has a full GPS tacker and movement detection. I have both on my motorcycle.
In general, you want to make your bike harder to steal than the next guy's. You can't really make it 100% theft-proof but you can put enough barriers in place to greatly dissuade your average thief.

Ruckus knock-off and motorcycle both stolen in two years.
I got these, I put them on today. They fit pretty well. I may modify the mounting with a longer bolt and a spacer to get them up am 1/2 inch. I believe the wind is reflecti over my hands as is though. Hard to tell as it is unseasonably warm today. https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Handguard-Protector-Windshield-Deflectors/dp/B01COP355A/ref=pd\_ys\_c\_rfy\_rp\_m\_289\_0?\_encoding=UTF8&pd\_rd\_i=B01COP355A&pd\_rd\_r=48BDNV05T20KSE10V186&pd\_rd\_w=eWFTK&pd\_rd\_wg=t0q7g&pf...
I use this: Bicycle Lock Bluetooth App Controlled Bike Lock, Motorcycle Lock, Gate Lock IP44 Splash-Proof Cycling Lock with 110db Alarm Braided Steel and Chain Lock, NuLock by NUNET (47 Inch Braided Steel) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XCZCRCM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Z77EKQHB33W25PFVPZWC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Maybe at most a deterrent but it’s better than nothing. I lock it up at the park when I go for my workout. There other people around so I would hope if anything caused the alarms to go off it would prevent the thiefs.
I think this is the cheapest part on the entire Ruckus, it feels like plastic. If you can't get ahold of one soon here's the one I got off of Amazon, it came in pretty quickly.
It’s a pale, sad imitation, but I found this:

remove the hooks and use zip ties to tie it to the inner seat frame. most versatile storage works amazing.
This hose is similar, you can trim it down to a shorter length. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C0WLK0?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Filter is a 1 1/2 dual stage unI filter, or 35mm. Easy to find them too. Use a couple zip ties when you install it. Right before the filter I added 2 zip ties, one for the 2nd zip tie to have a place to attach to.
Good news! It worked! Here is the cheapo foam filter I threw on: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MUOOAFK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_P98RY8AQP073GEWDFVMB?psc=1 . (39 mm). I deleted the whole airbox, so I had to zip tie all of the hoses into place. Now, I can't say how this set up will hold up when the temperature drops, so this may be just a summertime fix. But she's a running!
That's pretty clean looking.

I'm going cheap here I think, with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088M5JY8V
Don't care for the switch, want it wired to switched power but having an extra switch won't hurt and I couldn't find one that was simpler that than.
I was going to do the 'round' ones that surface mount, but watching some vids online it's clear there is not 2" of clearance behind the console panel anywhere I would want to mount it.
I added one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PMJH7QV
wrap a wire around the spark plug wire and it picks up the impulses and you've got your tach. when it's off, you get an hour meter.
Can I see a pic or description of how the milk crate is attached to the luggage rack?
I purchased this rack... (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N17EUSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) ...back in May and I put a milk crate on it. I'm currently attaching it via bungee cords until I come up with a better system.

This one is very good. A bit wonky to get it set up but it holds very well. Just be sure that when you're attaching it to your bars that you don't squeeze/pinch any cables.

Unfortunately, no. The bike seat does not have any kind of lock. You can do this to make use of the helmet lock. That is one reason I like the Chase Harper bag over the Panels I see on some other ruckuses.
I haven't really found a good shared key lock system though. Might just be something I have to make eventually.
Google exists for a reason, use it.

You should have one of these on your bike for charging the battery anyway. Dont leave the phone plugged in while not riding.

This is the one I bought off of Amazon for like $20, but it's no longer available. Just search trough the similar items and you should find one. Mine simply wraps the wire around the spark plug wire, and doesn't require batteries. The only con is that it doesn't have a backlight, making it difficult to see in the dark.
First check tire pressure and oil level before changing the weights but yeah I would guess the weights are the culprit here like you said.
The reason I say check tire pressure and oil first is because under inflated tires can reduce speed and overfilled oil can bog down your speed as well.
Mine when I bought it new from the dealer in May was wayyy overfilled with oil and after searching online I have found that this experience is very common with this bike.
I’d reccomend getting this kit then find what works for your body weight and local topography and get the DR Pulley version of the correct weights. Will save ya a lot of money
Sure!

Edit: I'll add, the straps that came with the bag were too large and the bag flopped around. I ended up attaching it with zip ties.

It looks like people use it on cars but I'd still be afraid of it stripping off paint. I'm gonna keep checking this thread out of curiosity tho
Not a bad idea, especially if you just go with regular M6 flange nuts, but you'd probably need to use high temp loctite.
>dies while riding if I dont give it gas.
so it doesn't idle? That doesn't have anything to do with the throttle control, that's either idle screw or incorrect jetting.
If you want recommendations go with an ABUS lock. They're notorious for being extremely hard to pick and are built like tanks. Something like the ABUS 20/70 lock and a chain with square links and a protective sleeve will serve you well.
