PS: I do things like this and this. It's ambient with darker undertones but nowhere near as hardcore as scapeplan's.

I think my favourite of theirs is Melody of Light. So beautiful. Also the anime it opens for (Sound of the Sky) is really amazing, if you like an all-girl military slice-of-life in a dying world setting.
