Yeah stick to your one good key. Take good care of it, there's no saying how many years it's going to be until Mercedes takes orders again.

Looks and feels great. Good luck!
Anyone used a cargo net as a trampoline bed? Tarp middle so its not just a hammock.

I've got one of the BlueDriver OBD tools and it kicks ass. Software is on your phone, so it updates all the time with new features. Just scan the VIN bar code and you're off and running. Then you can email the results anywhere you need. I wouldn't drive my Sprinter any long distance without it. I use it on my BMW and Tacoma, too.

All DEF is standardized and is exact same chemical composition regardless of brand. I usually buy it where it’s more convenient as the difference in price between house brands and premium brands is not worth it for me to drive somewhere just to buy DEF. Often DEF is sold at commercial truck stations right next to diesel. This is a good and economical way just to top off DEF if you stop by to refill your van. When topping off DEF, always keep handy plastic gloves and paper towel as splashed DEF will stain your engine compartment if not cleaned right away. Having DEF funnel is good for those truck stop refills. Otherwise DEF by a gallon is sold in special containers that come with built in spout and plastic hose. DEF funnel
I use these when driving short distances off road.
The battery in the remote comment by /r/qalexanders is a definite possibility. Try your spare key.
Barring that:
Have you tried pulling the power cutoff under the dash and leaving it down for a good 15-20mins (even better overnight) then powering it back up and letting it go through the sensor scan process (another 20mins to be safe)?
Have you checked for codes? Any modern Sprinter owner should have this.
I have one that replaced the top brake light but still allowed it to work as a brake light. I can see really well from that position and it has a night mode. I've never once had the thought that I wished I had more camera back there and I back up a lot at night in tricky situations.

It could be low on transmission fluid but it's hard to say.
Start with using a code reader to see if any codes come up. The AT-200 is able to read Merc codes.

Grab yourself one of these. At a minimum you’ll be able to read the history of thrown codes and when they were cleared last. With some minor mechanical knowledge it has other benefits as well.
Sorry op, let me write my post a little better.
I've got the older T1N sprinter but just replaced mine with this for $150 is currently working great. Posting this just to show that if you search for your year you can replace it for cheaper than oem, in fact I see, Denso which is who made my years factory compressor. Mercedes doesn't actually make them, they buy them from other countries just like everyone else, and mark up with a premium.
For example here's one that will work for your year: UAC CO 10736C A/C Compressor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M47PJ62/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_1j0jFbDSKW3YC
Probably a bit overkill, but I've got one of these bad boys on my T1N

Install was a breeze. I have it at the top of my hood (close to the windshield & (obviously) only use it off-road or when I'm alone on a back country road. It's STUPID bright, but fits really well & the curve matches the contour of the van body perfectly. I have the internal switch wired up to my dash.
