This happened to me, too, when I ordered FRERs from Amazon--I missed that in the title it said "packaging and test design may vary" https://www.amazon.com/First-Response-Result-Pregnancy-Packaging/dp/B000052XHI
So I guess this was a variation on "test design"? Still, I was annoyed. If I wanted a digital, I would have ordered a digital! Also, I do not need it to connect to my phone, wtf.
I'm not sure how long your cycles usually are, but you may be testing too late, or you may not be testing enough. I had to test multiple times a day to catch my LH surge. I get the Pregmate brand from Amazon it gives you 100 OPKs and 20 HPTs for $23.
Update: I just took another test (Clear Blue) and did not see anything! Maybe because I took the other test in the morning it showed up better. I am tempted to make my husband go buy another test LOL!
Update 2: I caved and took two more cheap tests. Both seem positive: http://tinypic.com/r/24i9/8
I'm losing my mind today!!! Thank you so much to everyone who responded today, you are the best. BABYDUST to you all!! <33333
About 20 for $35 on Amazon. So they're definitely more expensive than internet cheapies but if they're the only thing that works for you then they may be worth the money.
Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test, 20 Ovulation Tests https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002VLYAOI
Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test 20 Count 4 Most Likely Days https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OAIKPQC
When I google and match the package to what Amazon offers, says they're sensitivity of 25miu (so a normal 'cheapie' strength, but not quite FRER which picks up on 12miu)
And yes looks positive! :)
I would never begrudge a person an early test, but those FRER tests are like $5 a pop!
Here these will get you almost as accurate a result and you won't feel bad burning through them on CD20!
ETA - I don't see a line, but it's def TOO EARLY.
So far I have only seen them on Amazon. Clearblue confirmed that they are genuine tests, I originally was worried they were fake. They are called early detection vs their blue tests which are rapid detection. FWIW, out of all blue dye tests, I've found their rapid result to be most reliable and least likely to have indents.
Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test, 3ct https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085S61L6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yVETEb7J1Q0YX
They show a line while inverted, but the inversion process changes the colour palate, so impossible to show pink.
I'm pretty confident this is an early positive, but it's probably under 25 IU/L, so won't show up on a digital with a cut-off of 25 (which is most of them). Try a digital with a cut-off on 10 IU/L, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Clearblue-Digital-Pregnancy-Smart-Countdown/dp/B0000B11WE
The Clearblue With Weeks Indicator tests have a 25 cut-off, so I'd advise against them.
A woman on YouTube made it! Here is the Amazon link
Thank you!! Here's the link, I found them on amazon they were cheap enough I just gave them a try! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0995M1FRP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As therealamberrose said, you shouldn't really compare tests taken at different times of day. Also, ~12 hours between tests isn't long enough to see much of a difference -- especially at 9dpo when the hCG starts out so low. For example: I had betas done at 9 DPO and 11DPO -- at 9DPO it was 17 and at 11dpo, roughly 48 hours later, it was 47. Using an online calculator (https://www.omnicalculator.com/health/hcg-levels) that means that 12 hours after my hCG of 17, it would've only risen to 22! Of course everyone is different, but the point is that you're just not going to see a discernible difference on at home tests taken ~12 hours apart.
If you can stand to wait till tomorrow AM, I would test again then (rather than tonight). Though you should note that it's actually recommended you compare tests every other day (48 hours apart), because sometimes even 24 hours between tests isn't enough to see much of a difference. Of course, I've personally never been able to stick to this rule, and you probably will see a bit of a difference between this morning's test and tomorrow morning's, but if you don't, do not panic, and just test again Sunday AM!
That seemed long and rambly--hope it made sense!
Ahhh ok. I got these: Wondfo 50 Ovulation Test Strips and 20 Pregnancy Test Strips Kit - Rapid Test Detection for Home Self-Checking (50 LH + 20 HCG) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00RY8UBNC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_J5DYHP95PSG4ETYEATVH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hopefully they are legit. Maybe just a bad one. I literally thought I had the test upside down because the line was exactly like the control line at first 😅
That’s what the most recent reviews said. Only for the wondfo early result thay are supposed to be 10 miu
If it goes to 2 decimal places yes. But you really need the .00 to see a pattern.

I have moved on to the Tempdrop and so glad I did. It’s pricey but makes my life so much easier. And it has a high resale value too
Can you guys get a first response early result test? This one in particular: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000052XHI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_T0ABPXPJVFV8AJWV9CNG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This one is the most sensitive on the market. If she is pregnant it is the most likely to show a line. The ones she has taken so far have much higher hcg requirements than the FRER
I limited carbs and added sugar. Not Keto..but I tried to keep it under 100 total grams a day. 100% doable! I tried to narrow down what food I really wanted and I would make it work. Serving size would be 1/2 cup and I would only eat 1/4. All moderation! I also started testing my sugar regularly to see how my body reacted. There is this blood sugar support that I order that really helped keep my numbers stable.
Blood Sugar Support Extra... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2BKMSL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
not at all! I would opt for the smaller volume though as the regular-sized one would be overkill.
I also use these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GK0DPHI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Wondfo extra sensitive are 10 miu/mL and FRER are 6.3miu/mL so they are almost as sensitive. The others are 25miu/mL+ so if you want to go nuts with cheapies, go for the Wondfo's at least they are close to the same sensitivity as the expensive First Response ones!
Not out, that is still pretty early. I just came to provide the link to an Amazon listing for bulk pregnancy tests. These are pink dye (I will never used blue again after getting evaps), and they are early result (I got a very early result with them, but I do agree with other commenters that it definitely can take a few more days. Anyway, this will save you & and you can use them more often!

I've used easyathome for a good year now and have gotten pregnant twice. We lost both angels and already back to tracking again. I don't track bbt because I don't want to over do it. I use these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DOJG6RA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_C5CVQHHS4MAR765H3CPX Which is the brand the premom app is made for but if you use the "other tab" for other brands it should work just as well...
The extra sensitive 10miu ones. They should be called early result.
Wondfo Pregnancy Test Strips Early Result 25 Pack - Extra Sensitive HCG Urine Test Strip 10 MIU https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TXRF21X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_qayeGbY0GW0MS
Actually it was a chemical pregnancy, I celebrated too soon I guess 😒 but to your question, since this was our first time trying ICI, we bought both mosie baby and some cheapie syringes on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FKDFPVK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_NJJ4Fb8J5RK7X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
But used only the collection cup from mosie kit and used the cheap syringes for insemination, IMO mosie is overrated and expensive. These cheaper ones are also sterilized with rounded tip and gets the work done.
If you have Amazon Prime... ClinicalGuard® HCG Pregnancy Test Strips (Individually-Sealed, Pack of 50) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007VT3BUE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dvMTAbY179XKK They are the easiest and cheapest and have helped reassure me. But maybe waiting and just trying to keep your mind off of it is best.
I liked the clear blue digital advanced. You can get a 2 month pack for $40 on amazon , depending on how long your cycles are and how frequently you test (2x/day vs 1x/day).
I like them because they test for estrogen levels which increase before LH starts to surge. So your supposed to get some advanced warning of O.
I’m not sure where, I don’t have it on me, but someone linked a site before that I referenced let me see if I can find it
Edit cant find the list but it says it on amazon
I'm sorry. If you're in the fertility treatment process, I really recommend these Acumed tests from Amazon. There are other cheap brands as well. I used them the last time I conceived. IME they worked as well as FRER tests and they're so cheap you can pitch one if a line turns out wonky or if you want to do day to day comparisons.
Obviously I’m no doctor, but I stop LH testing about 3 days after my peak just to avoid confusion. That being said, I’m super confident in my peak based on the test. I like using Easy@Home OPK because it comes with an app. I just snap a picture of my LH test and it calculates the exact number of each test and tells me which is my peak and when I’m ovulating. CM can be kind of unreliable because it varies so much throughout our cycles.
I would recommend going on amazon and reading the reviews for the Easy@Home OPK here’s the link - i learned so much about tracking ovulations from these reviews!
Are you using the strips that have an app with it? Like this from Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DOJG6RA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Because if so - I JUST got this a few days ago and am looking forward to using it!

Interesting about your surge being short! That could be something I'm also experiencing. Does your test brand have enough for 2x testing?
Oh really? I didn't know! It's a danish manufacturer, found it here on amazon.
I’m in Canada, so I think my options are different. I got it from “wondfo”.
Just take another test in a day or so. I know it's hard waiting to find out. But I do see something!! Btw You can also buy 25 cheapies that work great for like 8 bucks on Amazon. 50 for 12.
EDIT: ClinicalGuard
Hopefully you don't need them again (at least not for a very long time) but if you want really cheap pregnancy tests you can get ClinicalGuard from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007VT3BUE
The prices fluctuate every few days, but they were $9 for a 50 pack when I bought them. Way cheaper than $1/test. People have done comparisons in this thread between ClinicalGuard and Wondfo (the competing cheap brand) and ClinicalGuard is definitely more sensitive.
Definitely worth going for the FRER at this point though!
I don't know where you live, but I might have given in to this.. https://www.amazon.com/FIRST-RESPONSE-EARLY-RESULT-Pregnancy/dp/B000052XHI/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1492207070&sr=8-3&keywords=first%2Bresponse%2Bpregnancy%2Btest&th=1
It sounds to me like a possible chemical pregnancy, which happened to me last cycle. 4 positive tests followed by bad cramps and AF.
In any case, I get Easy@Home and I positively love them. They display a beautiful and easy to read LH surge, and I got my BFP with their hcg tests this morning (confirmed by a FRER). Also, it gave me a much darker positive than FRER, so I believe it's more sensitive, but I don't know for sure.
