You could do the Carista method. Buy a OB2 reader and sign up for Carista. It allows you to change a multitude of chimes and functions.
I bought this one OB2 adapter and it works with the carista app and OBD Fusion (see real time rpm, fuel use and more)

I had to remove my factory ones to install this roof rack. They fold up when I'm not using them and I like the wau mine look.
Rather than buy the OEM strips for whatever they charge, I recommend these. They weren't difficult to install either.
i bought covers for my front two seats off amazon and they have been working well.

Linus tech tips did a youtube video comparing a ton of dash cams. I went with the viofo A129 wicked easy to install. If you aren’t hard wiring it I recommend this product it connects to the rear view mirror so you don’t have any dangling wires
I either got this one, or something identical. Easy install, removed cigarette lighter. The oem connectors are in an L shape bracket, so I cut them free and then just plug and play. Had to file the hole in the panel a little bit for it to fit. Other than that very uninstrusive proccess
I put these on my MGM. They're pretty much an aftermarket knockoff of the TRD Pro tailights. They've been on my truck for almost 3 months now and are holding up as good as OEM.
You could save a lot of money by purchasing those items from a Toyota dealer with an online store and installing them yourself. The running boards, floor liners, sill protectors, LED bed lights, oil cap and shifter knob are all very easy to in your own garage.
Take the LED bed lights for example: Your dealership is probably going to charge you about $70 for the lights and probably about an hour of labor to install at $100/hour. You could get an aftermarket kit from Amazon and install it yourself with nothing more than a 10mm socket in less than 10 minutes.
I have the Truxedo and it's been great for well over 2 years now. Price is actually lower than when I purchased it in 2020.

I took mine off the truck and sprayed it with VHT Nite-Shades
I can't remeber if I did 2 or 3 coats but I think I'm going to do one more coat. It dulls the chrome and doesn't interfere with the function of the TSS sensor.
Oh and on the topic of storage practicality, get some D-Rings and bolt them behind the bed rails.
I got these and put 4 on each side under the rails which has been incredibly useful
https://i.imgur.com/WCjMeYr.png
Also the front rail and some extra cleats are reasonably cheap to add on if yours didnt come with em.
I have one of these guys, it is the perfect width for the bed but the quality is a little iffy. The bin is sturdy enough, and it is low profile enough to fit under a tonneau cover, but the latches and lid leave a little to be desired (see reviews on Amazon for more details)

I will look for a link but this happens because LEDs by nature are low draw. A regular bulb (and most of your electrical system from what I understand) draws 12v like your alternator pushes out, a LED draws about 5 volts, so there is flashing as it is too much power for the bulb, again please note I am Youtube certified not an actual mechanic and this is my rudimentary understanding .
As the guy above mentioned, I would do some research to find exactly what you need, but in the past I have used something like this:
The beds are identical from a dimension perspective. You need to make sure that your cab is matched to the cap. Xtra Cabs and single cabs have different shapes and thus the caps are different. Single cabs are flatter, Xtra cabs have more of a curved front.
You will need clamps. Or you can screw it to the bed, which is not really recommended.
Something like these will work.
70mai Dash Cam Lite, 1080P Full... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J34ZVRT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Got this one on recommendation from two of my coworkers. It works really well and was very inexpensive.
I also use this for my Midland MicroMobile radio mic. It does require drilling 2 little holes, but it is awesome if you end up going with a permanently mounted GMRS radio.
I have 3 of these across my dash. They come with several size plates to be used on phones or anything else you can think of. I took one of the plates and put a slight curve in it and put it on the belt clip of my UV5R. It holds like a champ. The magnets are very strong and they have soft rubber to keep items from slipping down.
There are two good flat spots in the taco to mount these. On top of the dash, just to the left and just to the right of the instrument cluster cover there are 2 flat spots that these stick to perfectly. I use one for my UV5R and one for my phone.

2- 2x10s at 72"L spaced about 17" from the sidewalls3- 2x4s snug into notches on the 2x10- the two longer braces are 56" and the middle brace (centered at 36" on the 2x10) is 43" across 2- 15/32x4x8 sanded plywood- ripped them at 72Lx28W so the seam runs down the middle of the bed. I had to make a small cutout at the bottom left and bottom right of the plywood to fit around the tailgate, about 2x3"
I went back and installed 4 L brackets on the middle brace, it was okay with the plywood in but would move around a lot over bumps etc.
This is the mattress i got, it folds into thirds so i can stow it to the side when traveling, it's also shorter than a standard full @ 73" so it fits perfectly

That's an interesting bit of the build. I bought a trifold mattress with the intent of cutting it to fit the bed, but I actually lucked out and 2 of the 3 pieces of this trifold fit the short bed tacoma perfectly if you separate them and put them in sideways. I just installed a FITCAMX on mine yesterday. First thing I did when I drove my truck home from dealer. Install was really simple but it was a little frustrating getting the cover on at first. All terrain tires, traction boards, and a rear limited slip or lunch box locker. These will prevent you from getting stuck.
Recovery points, recovery straps, a winch setup,
These will help you get unstuck.
A shovel and a farm jack. The farmjack is tough to use on a newer truck because of a lack of places to put it, but you can lift off of a hitch if you had one, And they do make wheel lift adapters.
These are just useful.
I feel that on a two-wheel drive four cylinder truck, it may be more beneficial to go with a front hidden receiver hitch, along with a rear hitch, and to use a hitch mounted winch. That would give you twice the directions to pull, and the ability to leave the winch at home when you're not exploring, keeping daily manners.
The only potential negative is that you would have to run battery cable all the way to the rear, with (this)[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YOFBSF8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_C0GEHQ8FEFYM3C7H9VHP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1] style of connector for quick disconnects

You’re somewhere in the midwest with salt usage on the roads I’m assuming? If so, welcome to the club of rust preventing on your Tacoma. The dealership probably inspected a few key points but with pricing/demand, they probably didn’t do anything too in depth. I have a 2015 TRD Pro and I had some similar issues when I bought mine a couple of years ago. What I did and it may be excessive or disputed in this sub but I’ll try to help. *Check for warranties with the dealership if there’s a recall or an offer for frame coating once they’ve inspected it. First, wash the frame and plan on getting wet whether it’s at a wash or in your driveway… or if you have an automatic wash nearby with an undercarriage spray that works too. Once the truck is dry get some good cut-proof gloves, safety glasses or goggles, a scraper, flat tip screwdriver and a wire brush. Flatten a cardboard box or grab a creeper and get underneath the truck and start scraping/brushing. Lift off scaled up rust, scrape everything off that’s loose, take the screwdriver or scraper and run each of the seams and welds that you can see and reach. You’re basically looking to see the depth of the rust, any weld failures, cracks, etc. After that, wire brush everything to remove anything that’s left and you can spray brake clean to clean up the metal further. I then apply: https://www.amazon.com/Cyclo-C35-Rubberized-Undercoating/dp/B0002JMCK0 to all the areas that I can overspray and then get the rest of the areas that need masking. It’s a weekend process but It’s been worth it on my past trucks. I’ll do a yearly touchup in late summer. It may be me being overly cautious but I figure it’s not hurting anything. Hope my comment helps.
I'm not a big laser guy but I do know a fair amount about the light options out there. If you really want just a laser crimson trace makes one. They've been in the laser game forever. I highly recomend even if you carry a handheld flashlight to have a weapon light on your pistol. For that I'd get the p365 specific StreamLight TLR6 light laser combo.
https://www.amazon.com/STREAMLIGHT-69284-Flashlight-Integrated-Exclusively/dp/B07P7245S6
If you go just light, The Streamlight TLR 7 variant that fits the Sig is super nice, Not sure if they have a TLR 8 (light&laser) that would fit a 365/365xl. Or if you want to be a Gucci whore like me and obsess over durability I can only dream of actually needing as I LARP in the basement. You can get the Surefire XCS that is model specific. I sport this on my CCW a 43x.
Some BIG channel locks because you’ll need to bend some metal to get the UCA bolt out on the driver side for sure, I can’t remember about the passenger side.

Grease gun with the correct grease for your UCAs
Might as well get some grease for your U joints too while you’re at it since that’s part of your regular maintenance
Order your struts pre assembled if you can. The basic spring compressor I ordered would not do those truck springs so I had to take mine to a shop.
When you have stock struts off and your sway bar disconnected, put on your new wheels/tires and jack them up individually to simulate full compression. Turn lock to lock and trim/cut anything that is rubbing. You can use a heat gun to re-mold the black plastic in the fenders.
You might need an angle grinder and sledge hammer for the pinch welds.
Bungee cords to hold your front linkages in place when your struts are out.
Needle nose pliers for the clips that hold the brake lines in place.
1/4” spacers under driver side leafs and on top of struts to compensate for the taco lean. You might need longer studs on your strut if you add the spacer. Or just go one clip higher in the driver side strut.
Watch YouTube videos.
That’s about all I can think of for now. Good luck!

I had to adjust them a few times. I actually called the support # because I couldn't get them on easily the first time. They go on fairly easy now but the first few times is def. a pain. I ended up taking the hitch brackets off and greasing them the first time. The instruction booklet tells you where to and where not to grease. In my case out of the package the brackets were stuck in place by the black paint they use. Once I got them moving a bit I was able to get them on using the included tool. You don't want them to move easily, that's sort of the point of the thing.
I will say this hitch works very well, I used a reese pro with the old style sway control (the brake pad style ones) and it worked but this one is so much better

yep. theres plenty of kits you can get to swap out the dim interiors, and plenty of you tube vids on how-to. i used this one... bright AF with the 6000 Kelvin.
does interior and rear lic. plate lights. now the rear lights, unless your shit is lifted and on big wheels, will be a minor pain in the arse...

This is what I got. Pretty cheap and works great
Wheels and tires when due. They make any vehicle pop.
I just bought this cheap little block on Amazon. I picked this one because it had a negative rail and included the fuses I needed:

I'm unsure if i can post amazon links on here, but i got mine from Amazon Canada. The thing i found nice about this particular one was how big and thick it was. Really looks like something OEM, lots of them are thin and cheap looking.
I got this and used it at the beach: https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCC020IB-20V-Inflator-Bare/dp/B07H39S9JQ
Have a 5ah battery. Aired down to 15psi and reinflated to 35 twice and still had some battery left. It's nice being able to set the psi and let it do it's thing.
I just added LED bulbs. They are honestly amazing and brighter than anything I’ve ever had.

This installs in one one if our empty switch slots, I just tapped off the 12v plug for power, works great an charges fast.
Subaru tweeters are a direct replacement in terms of the bracket. The wires will need to be cut and soldered or butt connected. This takes a lot of the work you described above out.
Genuine Subaru H631SFJ101 Tweeter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PV6F8I2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I did this replacement a months the back. The sound is definitely improved. I will say that the highs are almost too much after the tweeters. All in all, I think it’s worth it.
Got my decked setup installed today and had ordered a "weatherproof" plug to add to the ammo can. (Link below) Had to pull the pin on the spring loaded door covering the 120v outlet and knock a couple holes in the ammo can, but I dig it way more than the extension cords bouncing around or trying to move the factory plug and leaving a big hole in the side of the bed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XF5D8HK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_9SB1PDTC2TGDS6JG2B2A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Of all places, Amazon. Just pick your color

The tricky part on these headlights, to be honest, was the wiring for the small module that allows the lights to do the little dance thing when you lock and unlock. But TacoTwonz has a great video guide for it, and once you understand it, it's not that bad. The installation isn't terrible for the headlights, but does take a few hours to do. The mirror turn signals is a 15 min job per side max, it's super simple.
I would recommend you get a set of plastic trim removing tools to help remove plastic parts easily without breaking them, scratching or removing paint. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HRNKY8P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_HXXPKFJQTKW58C7MZBA9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You gotta remove the oem towing part, not sure what it’s called, and replace them with brackets and shackles. You can get them in a set now on Amazon $80. I bought them separately before $80 brackets $30 shackles.
No modification needed, just a few bolts you gotta undo. Pretty simple, 10min job.

This is the link to the ones I bought off Amazon. Just a heads up make sure you watch the YouTube video first because it’s super tricky to do without taking the whole damn bumper off!
Ive only seen it on Slamazon... RAPTOR GRILLE
I thought long and hard about a tonneau but ended up with a full on leer cap. I wanted plenty of storage for road trips that is relatively more secure than a tonneau cover.
The only use case that i'm missing out on is crap in the bed that would stick out or above typical bed loads, and that would be the wrong tool for the job that is solved via my farm truck chevy 2500.
That said, I came REALLY close to pulling the trigger on a leer tonneau tri fold cover on amazon, it was only around $350 and looked very well built. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HBD4BXP/ref=pe_385040_30332260_pe_301860_26203570_n_id
Looks like theyre sold out :/

If you do go with a Prinsu, HMU if you ever want side lighting. I designed some wedges for my prinsu to accommodate these types of lights on each side of my rack. I think there’s a US-made version of these lights available, but I didn’t know that at the time or I would have gone with them. Anyway, the wedge allows the lights to point downwards at a campsite, etc.
Similar to this I imagine. Thanks for the response SptHotFire.
The Nitto Ridge Grapplers are a decent all terrain tire that go for about $750.
I’d also recommend the Tyger tri-fold tonneau cover which you can get on Amazon for $200-$250, depending on your bed length: https://www.amazon.com/Tyger-Auto-TG-BC3T1030-2005-2015-Fleetside/dp/B00L32LMVA
