This is more of a personal thing but every single time I listen to the Jurassic Park area loop from Universal Studios Hollywood I get the most intense feeling of nostalgia. When I was younger I spent a lot of time in the Lower Lot of USH and they always blasted this Jurassic Park loop.
The only good theme park game I've played is actually on Roblox. It's a Universal Studios map with tons of rides and immersive areas. It's actually really impressive if you can get past the fact that it's on Roblox.
Here's the link if you're interested, it's free to play.
Wow... did not format well on my phone - will have to comment and come back later.
a couple of "weird ones" off the top of my head (can't tell of they are included already)...
Richie Rich - some good shots of the Iron Wolf.
Lost Boys - good shots of the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, as well as the Giant Dipper.
Beverly Hills Cop III - Paramount's Great America, not long after Marriott and Kings gave up the park, and one season before the Triple Wheel was taken out.
National Lampoon's Vacation ... Wally World, AKA Magic Mountain, back when Revolution and Colossus were still fairly new.
Rollercoaster ... if this isn't already listed, then well... LOL
I'm sure I can think of others... and I'm sure I have already mentioned some that other folks have, too.
Edit:
Funny, I get back to the room, tonight... and Fear is on - it's placed outside of Seattle, so perhaps the woodie at Puyallup Fair? (warning, the scene is a bit racy if you go hunting for it.
Edit 2: Looks like it was at Playland Vancouver.
Well I have the highest pass with the least black out dates and the 28th and 29th are blocked off so I'm assuming its going to be very busy. I really don't think you will need that many days at Universal to be honest and I am a huge Harry Potter fan myself and already went to the soft open its very small. You may want to try out Disneyland too its about 45min-1hour from Universal.
Price Breakdowns:
Universal Ticket price for pass members $80 ea
Disneyland 2-Day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket $149 ea
You may also want to look into Costco
also shameless plug for my new sub r/UniversalHollywood
I use Handbrake. It usually does a good job. I’d probably leave the interlacing in rather than run the video through another piece of software. If you have the original, unmodified video, then I’d recommend running it through handbrake and setting the output quality to practically lossless using the Production Max preset. And then changing the filters to include the default interlace detection and using decomb. This will create an insanely huge file, but the quality shouldn’t be degraded at all by re-encoding. Then I’d run the resulting video through whatever software to upscale. The interlacing isn’t a huge deal though.
Theme Park Design and Themed Entertainment is probably the best. Extensive and detailed, very scientific in its process.
It's really sad. I got to visit the park a handful of times, even sleeping in a guest room behind the old Ultimate Trip building. It's a shame, but there was no way to keep people out in it's final configuration (with the streets that run through the park as OP said), and I'm sure that the insurance and upkeep costs outweighed the need for another park in the area so close to Waldameer.
Amazon has a great book on the subject of the park's history wirtten by a friend of mine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0738537799/

I get motion sickness a LOT becuase of my meds, so I always carry around motion sickness bands & a topical motion sickness oil:
https://www.amazon.com/MotionEaze-MotionEaze5ml-Motioneaze-Fluid-Ounce/dp/B0000AXZV5
The motion sickness bands are the best though becuase you can put one on each wrist and leave it there. Buy them on Amazon though, not in a store. In a store you pay like $15 for one pair.
The other comment appears to be correct - IR is cheap, and in the video of the new ears on the official Disney site, you can see the colors sweeping side to side through the crowd.
Hack A Day brought it up today, too - check out the comments I linked to. Someone else mentioned bringing an IR camera and recording the signals sent for analysis. I'm tempted to go buy a pair of the ears, but I have a feeling it'd require more knowledge and equipment than a simple multimeter (e.g. an oscilloscope).
I think this one is really good!
You can get the original RCT 1/2 on mobile labelled RCT Classic developed by Sawyer and not Atari.

I throw everything in a drawstring backpack and utilize lockers or bins/cubbies on the exit side of the coaster train. It's not weird.
I use this one from Ogio, but there are plenty of companies who make them, and you can usually find them pretty inexpensively at places like TJ Maxx, Ross, or Marshall's.
I use this when we go and it is perfect. I think you could probably fit a small water bottle in it, though it might be less comfortable. But, do you really need one? When we go to the parks I just use the water fountains or ask for a cup of water (free) at any stand. I also have a small rub-on sunscreen that fits nicely.
