I really like my Danner Viscious. A comfy, lightweight, and versatile work boot that is available with internal metatarcle. $200 at Danner and ~$190 at Amazon.
It’s a work boot inspired by their hiking line and has a bit more shoe-like comfort than other boots. This is designed to be an indoor or outdoor boot. If you will just be indoors you could consider shoes with wedge soles.
Here's an 11.5 US (11UK)
These boots in particular come only in black. The brown version is out of stock. At least from those sellers that will ship the boots to the UK.
You might be able to find the brown version but it might take some extra work to find it as some boots are available in brown, but are not your size. Those that are your size might not ship to the UK and so on ...
Good luck👍🏼hope it helps
KEEN makes very comfortable work boots with some models having breathable paneld like these KEEN Lansing. They are steel toed.
Very, very comfortable boots but they're not that tall (around 5"). If you need higher boots they make these Cincinnati 8" which look great too but no breathable panels in this one.
But have super comfortable midsoles.
Hope this helps👍🏼 Good luck with the new job 🙂
Another good work boot that keeps your toes dry, worn with wool sucks are these. They are insulated and great in cold/ mild temperatures and snow. Had to buy another pair for work, wore out my last ones. https://www.amazon.com/Muck-Woody-Rubber-Insulated-Hunting/dp/B01DPPX7XI/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?adgrpid=57600611458&gclid=CjwKCAjwyaWZBhBGEiwACslQo3A4UX8M_3Uz0QvChMrnOyHQLXgqNB0qBbgfooJK-UQ8KHjzQjwR3BoCtmcQAvD_BwE&hvadid=274733760628&hvdev=m&a...

No matter what you'll wear your feet WILL get hot, especially in those climates.
Just like someone else suggested look at some desert boots, some military style boots. Those are usually not made with leather and they're lighter and more breathable.
Somethibg like these:
If you want them to be waterpeoof you'll have to go for those that have a waterproof membrane, otherwise they're just water resistant.
https://shop.whitesboots.com/work-boots/hillyard/ could try these out but I think whites will have a sale in June if you can hold out or https://www.amazon.com/Razorback-Lace-Up-Resistant-Leather-Hiking/dp/B085BWXKGN/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?adgrpid=115534424820&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI24PP5Z-l9wIVEIrICh1kLQQDEAAYASAAEgIcNvD_BwE&hvadid=557382759275&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9004346&... Jim greens makes a good boot similar quality to redwings but lower price point you could watch rose anvil chop up a pair and show you. It’s sucks now to buy boots due to most brands bumping up the prices whites perry moc used to be like 270-280 now 310 they where easy to break in compared to my thorogoods
Wedge sole work boots are the best option for those types of floors. You can check out this round-up I did with some of the most popular wedge sole boots out there.
Personally, I just placed an order for a pair of Thorogood boots with a wedge to test them on my construction site which all unpolished concrete surface.
These are the ones I bought.
Hope it helps. Adrian
These insoles are in every pair of my boots. I am a chef who wears boots up to 16 hours a day with no issues.
These on thorogoods worked fine for me. I don’t need them often but are fine for 8+ hours in my experience.

They are the Pro line, they aren't the crappy "stylish" consumer grade ones. They have a solid composite toe and a rubber toe cap, even. Very good lugs that grip well.

I have the 6in linked above in black. There's also an 8in version if you prefer that height.
I absolutely love my thorogoods as well. If you’re worried about the toe, I’d suggest getting the toe dipped using tuff toe. You’ll have an amazing boot with a toe that’ll last at that point.
The way you are wearing through the leather that fast you may want to try something like this. Tuff Toe Boot Protector Guard Cover Dip | Waterproof Shoe Repair Glue Adhesive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XB3423G/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_8DR2FTKE533RFR98SGTH
Ok I ordered my base layer for the up coming winter. After doing lots of research I decided to order 5 sets(shirts and bottoms)
32 DEGREES Heat Mens Performance Thermal Baselayer Crewneck Long Sleeve Top https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099YJHYFF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_YARF30MPN8J5NWS5Z5FF

I’ve watched lots of videos and the above seem like the most cost efficient and most effective. Since I’m getting 5 sets I won’t be wearing the same set 2x in a row. Just wash them all once a week.
Taking 1 step at a time that’s why I started with a base layer.
Now moving on to a mid layer.
The woolrich boots I have are like 7 years old. I just googled them basically cause you made made me do it and I wanted another pair. The company stopped making everything in Pennsylvania 2018?! Holy smokes. So I found this on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Woolrich-Mens-Speculator-Basalt-10-5/dp/B00I3UOET2/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&qid=1628764969&refinements=p_89%3AWoolrich&s=apparel&sr=1-5
Most cobblers probably have wedge soles handy to be completely honest. If not you can buy them easily online.

Just one of hundreds of examples.
order them from amazon and check'm out...who knows u might like them if not return.
i swop between timberland and danner springfield. i like the timbers better but not crazy about the color...the mesh part is more green than the photos show...the danners are great to
I love my KEEN boots, so far I have no plans to change brands.
I was going to install some metal boot lace hooks like this. But since these are worn already I'll just punch a hole in it and thread the lace right through it, thanks to u/TOPOS_
There is another pair linked by u/SirMandudeGuy that eliminates this. I had tried those as my last set but I must have had a bad batch because they were incredibly uncomfortable compared to these boots I have bought several times. I may try them again my and return them if I have the same issue.

Like you got nothing better to do on a Friday night, but these popped up as well. Maybe a little more durable with the good year welt?? Thanks again.

Edit: one to many bourbons.
That was a day one (of work) picture. Got the boots before this work week.
Days are ten hours.
I looked the boot. They’re Vernon 6”
I second this. Bought my first pair of Thorogood boots about 3 months ago. Love 'em. I like the much better than my expensive Irish Setter boots.

Edit: Also, consider adding a good pair of insoles. The insoles that my Thorogoods came with are ok. But, Timberland has some really nice insoles that I like quite a bit. A little pricey for insoles, but worth it IMO.
