I picked up this one on Black Friday by Getaria on Black Friday (... granted it's the same price now too) and I've been very impressed.

I was intending to return this after I received my Line 6 but my daughter's been enjoying plugging her Ukelele into the THR30ii, I've decided to keep them both. Admittedly, I think there's actually less noticeable hiss with the Getaria.

Instead of buying a new looper, you could just use a Mono to Stereo adapter cable, such as this one:

You can get USB-B to USB-C cables or just a USB-A to USB-C adapter. I prefer these, with a short cable, as it puts less stress on the USB port.

I have fought with a bit of line noise since I got my THR, really similar to what you describe. If the issue is still present with a short cable plugged directly to the amp with no effects, it’s likely that there is either interference coming through your pickups (more likely with single coils and P90) or dirty power. If your power from the outlet is not the best, or if the circuit is under heavy load, your voltage will be more variable and can introduce line noise. This can be mitigated a bit with a power conditioner, which will regulate voltage and filter out noise.

If you go the power conditioner route and don’t want to spend pro gear prices, this little guy does a pretty dang good job for me

You can improvise an effects loop with a cable like this. Use one or both line outs into your pedal(s) and back to the THR's aux in using the cable, it's mono so you'll need a stereo cable if you're using both output lines.
