Really really awesome, thx!
I will keep testing over today (over several hours) and updating testing table below (should be done by about 5AM GMT Monday)

Test on... | Success or fail? | Any problems? |
---|---|---|
Single tv ep in tv jukebox view | success | marks with L-block value of 0, so item doesn't show up in Play History (which isn't desirable), i'd prefer items getting an L-block value of 0.001 |
Several tv eps selected in tv jukebox view | ||
Whole tv show folder in TV Show media library category root | ||
Movie file in Movie media library category root | not tested (i don't use this) | |
Movie folder (with movie file inside) in Movie media library category root | ||

Also, overnight i realized that to compete nicely with others (e.g. Trakt.tv, see screenshot link given above), you could do all of these on the Mark as Seen Confirmation pop-up/query:
note: i'm saying on the fullscreen nav pop-up now, not in ZP's usual Settings

Mark <Title> as Seen?
Thx again!
ok that's probably why Trakt.tv only does "Filter by a selected genre" i think (not Sort, with genre headings)
zp needs Filter too :)
also the current Filter/Sort setting would need to be clearly marked on the fullscreen nav.
also the current Filter/Sort setting would need to be saved per path, e.g. saved separately for a Tv Show category root vs. its Tv jukebox view, and e.g. saved separately for File Browser vs. Media Library say if they both share/use the same exact path
just some thoughts, but not sure if possible in reality, thx
I feel like I'm helping the Dev develop a complete sellable Media Library package (and happy to help/advise as end user role!) that can compete with the likes of Plex, MediaPortal, Trakt.tv etc. BEST WISHES!!!
If you wanted, you could calculate/draw a "Partial Show" Progress Bar for Season 0X folders as well (if the end-user uses Season 0X folders, we don't). Trakt.tv does this too. THANK YOU!!!
u know about "Set the Default Audio Device with the Sound flyout" right?
see: https://winaero.com/change-default-audio-device-windows-10/
there's probably something useful there
The scene-cut feature is designed for virtual editing (doesn't modify the source and works in real time).
I considered supporting transcoding at one point, but it's a somewhat big project on it's own and there are a lot of good and free solutions that do it.
I wouldn't use VLC or Quicktime for that, I would recommend using Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr/)
hi, plz see here for comparison: https://www.tvrename.com/manual/view/#show-summary
but that TV Rename software can't use TMDB for TV Shows (only TVDB or TV Maze), so it isn't very good for people like me using ZP Media Library TV Show Categories (which use ZP's TMDB-scraper)
when i set-up TV Rename previously for testing, i'd say about 15% of my shows had problems because of differences between TMDB and TVDB for their episode listings

usage? = it's for a user (me) to make sure they have successfully ripped/collected all episodes in a tv show/season and the count matches TMDB 100%
for example when i buy a TV season on blu-ray

inputs? = you would need to use for example these MediaCache folder.metadata lines:
and compare with a fresh TMDB API search for the full TV episode listing for each unique TheMovieDB_id= found in MediaCache

thx
