You could make your own for way cheaper. Amazon and other sites sell Advent calendar thingies made out of wood (think a mini chest of drawers with number painted on them) and you can put your own things in them. Here's another example of a DIY calendar. This is getting crazy. I don't remember it being this insane last year! Did this start as guerilla marketing by Aldi or what?
Aldi's is this one, which looks identical to this Kobot, which seems to be a RV-351. Most other places seem to be selling it for $150, and you can find a few reviews online (Home Depot, Best Buy).
As a bit of a robot vacuum enthusiast(I know), I don't like the fact that it doesn't have front distance sensors, just a bumper. The ones with distance sensors (you can tell because they have a translucent black strip at the front) will slow down to a crawl before they hit walls or furniture. The ones with just a bumper will just go their normal speed until they bump into something.
That also means the travel speed of them has to be kept lower. One with distance distance sensors may travel at say 1 yard per second when everything is clear and slow down to 0.2 yards per second before it hits an obstacle, while one with just a bumper would always do 0.5 yards per second. So they cover less area and are a bit harder on the furniture, though the Kobot one has a rubber strip on the bumper, so it shouldn't leave marks.
If you can swing it, I would look at the iLife A4s instead. They go for about $150-160 on Chinese sites like gearbest or $200 on amazon, and they're really impressive for the money. Quiet, very good build quality and they don't get stuck easily.
Shouldn't be too bad. Whole Foods sells the same one on Amazon for $18.
If you're remotely interested in playing records go to /r/vinyl and read the sidebar.
It cannot be overstated -- do not waste your money on a suitcase record player like this, even if you're only into it for the novelty.
this turntable is worth buying, sorry, but it's an expensive hobby unless you can fix old vintage equipment that you score at a yard sale for a few dollars.
Huh. TIL what a "bug repellent fan" is:
>INSECTS AVOID THE REFLECTIVE PATTERN – Bugs avoid this fan and will refuse to fly anywhere near it. The holographic pattern on the blades bend the light (refraction) while spinning, creating an unnatural environment that insects fly away from.
>IT WORKS: The fan blades feature a reflective pattern that while in rotation, will refract or bend light, disorienting airborne insects. They see this disruption in light as a danger, and as such, will keep away from you and your food & beverages.
Sigh. Making progress but still not what we need. Rolling tuba cases are $665 on Amazon. I was hoping Aldi could undercut that by 20 bucks or so. Meanwhile I'm refreshing Prime Day every 5 minutes hoping it's included:
https://www.amazon.com/SKB-Large-Universal-Tuba-Wheels/dp/B001LNO9PC
I did some searching when the ad came out! I think these : NEOH Coconut Low Carb Protein & Candy Bar - Low Sugar Keto Snack (1g), 90 cals, 7g Protein - (12-Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V1VCXYW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JTJZHSNVE1WDA1XGFCX0?psc=1
It looks like the Aldi one only has 8 cars? Or am I reading that wrong? In any case, you can buy a 20 pack of Hot Wheels for $20 and make your own. This pack even has each car in a little slot already, so you could just make little doors on the exterior box or put wrapping paper over it and cut/rip the cars out each day.
A bag of sodium citrate is inexpensive, and a teaspoon will transform any grated or crumbled cheese and a little liquid into a creamy sauce.
I’m with you. There is never a reason to buy garbage unrefrigerated cheese dip.
Apparently there's many, just not sure how many Aldi carries: https://www.amazon.com/My-Mo-Mochi-Ice-Cream/dp/B075737QWJ/ref=pd_vtp_1?pd_rd_w=wMDA7&pf_rd_p=4f2ab3e8-468a-4a7c-9b91-89d6a9221c29&pf_rd_r=R3C50FT20RY59SN7XV7P&pd_rd_r=7ddf03d9-3ac8-491c-9eaf-13eac24e9081&pd_rd_wg=WhZXF&pd_rd_i...
I've done stir fry for years and I still like to look at this chart
It has the techniques and the proportions for a good stir fry. The homemade sauces are easily made and customizable.
If anyone only has one "one pot" cookbook, it should be this one. Seriously good food, lots and lots of recipes.
I agree, my pizza is so much better than most (and I live in Chicago)
I just buy an lb. of Saf-Instant Yeast on Amazon
I have some of those old Fleischman 4 oz. jars that I saved and I divide it up and store in the fridge.
I figured they bought the shirt at Amazon? Quick search turns this up
Ohhh, nice. Right now I get a 4 pack of a generic version on Amazon, $18.99 for a 4 pack, $4.75 each. Subscribe & Save brings it down to about $4.51 each.
We use these for strawberries, blue-/black-/raspberries, grapes, lettuce, and lots of other produce. Absolutely love ‘em.

I was actually about to buy something very similar from Amazon. The Amazon one looks identical, has great reviews, but it’s $2 more expensive than the Aldi one.
Almost forgot. here’s the link
I got a bidet a few years ago, and it reduced the TP usage dramatically. I have what a fellow Redditor called "infomercial poops" (But wait, there's more!). I like Aldi's "compare to Charmin", and it is rather fluffy, so the bidet was a tremendous help because I was double, triple flushing or more to prevent backup. When pandemic TP panic set in, I purchased washcloths from Amazon, and use those for dabbing the extra dampness, rather than using more TP. They are dedicated bum cloths, and have their own receptacle in the bathroom.
Just saw this one: Burman's mayo, 2 jars for $28
I've talked about how much I love Burman's mayo many times, but not that much.
I've used a small one to make deep dish pizza for years now.
I just bought both the muffin pan and the pie pan from Aldi - they seem sturdy.
EDIT: Geez, that one I bought is $24. - the Aldi ones are $5 each.
The other thing I use, when I remember to bring it with me, is one of those trunk organizer bags. Sort of like this one: VENO Foldable Car Trunk Organizer - Expandable Large Capacity Portable Cargo Trunk Storage Organizer Containers with Strap Handle (Black/Windowpane) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07YXGDBGT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_N9goFbR2NVWC5
I have the turbo cat scratcher from Amazon and my 1 year old cat loves it. I definitely recommend the Aldi Find, especially at $6.99! I paid more than twice that!

This is an incredible price for Italian bronze-cut pasta.
Next best price I can find for something comparable is Cinque Terre brand from Amazon. For example, Cinque Terre Pasta Organic Durum Wheat Bronze Die Cut Italian Pasta, Long Pastas Variety Box -, 16 Ounce (Pack of 8) - $15.93 or about $1.99 per box and you're buying 8 boxes.

They make a nice salt mill, too. Nylon gears that never rust.
Cheaper if you can get Amazon Fresh. Currently $2.99

You may be thinking What is manuka, honey?
Manuka Honey is the Best, Purest, and Healthiest Type of honey!
Manuka honey, is a type of honey that originates from certain parts of Australia and New Zealand. Manuka honey has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.
Thanks to its antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, manuka honey can be used to help treat wounds, improve your oral health, soothe a sore throat and treat ulcers and acne, and many more.
But finding good and genuine manuka honey in the Indian market is very challenging.
We have tried many brands but at last, we found Pryme Health UMF 5+ Certified 100% Pure Manuka Honey which according to me is the best in the Indian market and the only brand which sources honey directly from New Zealand. and there each Jar comes with a certificate to track the authenticity.
I will recommend everyone who is looking for pure and healthy honey to try out Pryme Health’s Manuka Honey.

You can get special sifting litter boxes to separate the sand.
I could heavily recommend that, if it works anywhere near as well as the Knox cooler I bought several years ago on Amazon for $70. I make great use of it on trips, both in the car and in the room. One plug apiece for AC and DC. It works particularly well on the road if I put a couple of frozen cool packs on top.
The $70 is still available occasionally but this is now the standard rate: https://www.amazon.com/Knox-Quart-Electric-Cooler-Warmer/dp/B01DMVV282
I found one. It cost me about 16.00 and it works great. Beats paying for the disposable pods. I will include the link I used to buy mine if anyone is interested.

Interesting I’ve used a slap chop before and it was a nightmare to clean. I use a mandolin and it’s easy to clean but doesn’t really dice but I feel like I’m better off just using a knife.

If you want a good steamer, here you go. It’s a bissell and it comes with a fair amount of tools. Unless this is what you’ve purchased before, it should do well, albeit a small size.
I use these I bought from Amazon 3 years ago and holding strong!
I occasionally buy a plastic bag there, and reuse them for everything.
I decided to order this one from Amazon $22... Kitty City Jungle Cat Cube Combo, Collapsible Cat Cube, Cat Bed, Tunnel, Cat Toys https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BS1L61W/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_RKJQAKFDM6HZC1FSZ2KM?psc=1
It looks like the clear plastic goes into the piece with the black rings, which the wine will pour over in a ring as it goes into the decanter. That's why it's covering the sides of the decanter as its pouring into it instead of going straight down in one stream.
Is there a way to screw the small metal part of the plastic thing into the bottom of the black rings?
Here, watch this video from Amazon! It's a similar decanter and you can see the way it's put together.

Note this is the cheep version.. They have a + version that has better range but some a bit more.
I highly recommend the sardines in spiced tomato sauce, but maybe give this variety pack a try first:
It's the hunter gatherer survival instinct at work. I recommend the work of Robert Sapolsky, Stanford professor and expert on neurology and human behavior. You see people differently when you understand how our bodies have evolved to respond to our environment. His book Behave: The Biology of Humans at Their Best and at their Worst is a great place to start.
I tried to buy some last week, but the Instacart shopper couldn't find any and it's now listed as "out of stock" in my store.
I've been getting this one from Amazon. Same size, but almost twice the price. But it's always available.
You have to get a good one. I have a Cloud 9 steamer and in my opinion is the best portable steamer. I got it at Amazon

I bought this and absolutely love it. Cheaper and more effective than the Aldi one.
I doubt Aldi's are higher quality. I ecxpect they are exactly the same. $35 seems a bit expensive for that. I have these grow lights: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V6YJKR6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The company has a few different lengths and brightnesses in packs of 4 or 8. The link abouve is 10W per 2 foot light bar. You might want the 20W for starting seeds. I highly recommend the "warm" daylight version as it is very pleasant on the eyes, and still works for plants. I use these light for my tropicals. They hang nicely on a baker's rack.
I've used these since 2015 without issues. Maybe find something like these?

I was also super disappointed with this years calendar! After some searching I found this one: here Never commented with a link before so hopefully it works!
Thanks. There is no costco here. We have Walmart and Aldi.
Costco's mixed nuts are about $17~19/LB. Why are they so much more expensive than Walmart's? http://www.costco.com/CatalogSearch?storeId=10301&catalogId=10701&langId=-1&refine=&keyword=mixed+nuts
I don't think I fully understand what you did to upset anybody, maybe it was them personally being irritable. But here are some Aldi tips that might help you!
-when you get to the register, put everything on the belt as quickly as you can and move your cart to the end by the cashier if there isn't already one there. After they scan the first item, you can insert your card for payment. Do this now instead of paying at the end for a quicker checkout.
-ALWAYS get a cart unless you are actually only going to get 1-2 small items. If you don't bring in a cart, try to avoid needing to borrow the cashier's cart
-If you see something you like in the Aldi finds aisle, grab it because it probably won't be there next time!
-Just follow general grocery store etiquette, like waiting your turn at a section instead of squeezing in (i.e. someone looking at cheese, just wait for them to finish if you can before grabbing what you need).
-the cashiers check out FAST. Try to avoid taking more time; load the belt quickly, bring your cart around, do not try to separate items or slow down the scanning process. After you pay you can sort your groceries at the bagging area. Try to bring your own reusable bags! I really like collapsible totes like these.
I can't speak to the Aldi version, but I have a couple from Rev-a-Shelf etc, and most seem to have a slider that runs the full depth of the cabinet that it's installed in. For example the cupboard that holds the garbage bins is like maybe 2 ft deep; the slide goes the whole depth. (example)
As long as the cabinet organizer isn't deeper than your little half shelf, you'd be okay.
I hate stovetop units, the self heating ones are well worth the extra money for convenience and additional safety.
I got this guy a year ago and have been loving it
I appreciate this review! Also am a fondue fan but never tried the Aldi mix.
Buy an inexpensive bag of sodium citrate and you can melt any cheese with any liquid. I recommend grating the cheese and adding a little liquid at a time, but with enough stirring and some heat sodium citrate will melt any cheese you put in your pot.
This is what I bought to sift out the sawdust. I also recommend getting a metal scoop. The plastic ones don't work too great with pellets. There's lots of videos on YouTube about how to transition. Good luck!
I hear you. We like the Aldi appliances, including their small coffee maker, but I think in this case, over sized is likely the safer bet. Not just because its two guys living in their first apartment, but it seems space between the food is the most critical factor in a good outcome.
I was considering the 5.7 QT from Cosori at twice the price due to a YouTuber we follow (Pro Home Cooks), but Cosori also has a 3.7 QT option.... but both Cosori units are within 10% of each other so why not get the bigger unit?
I agree roasted veggie will be great. We do it at home and he likes them, so if this enables that good habit, then so be it. Also safe than a 25 year old running a gas oven....
This does help thanks.
Yeah I guess the Instacart people just need to have dividers or something so they don't slow down the line.
Something like this would help. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HX2TSJW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_PR0Z5SSY33THMDSTE7BQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've had these before and they were tasty but the garlic butter coating was very inconsistent and a lot of it rubbed off in the bag. I'd rather just get Johnny's Johnny's Garlic Spread and make something similar with almost anything.
I've mentioned it before but Costco baguettes cut in half + butter (or oil) + that seasoning in the air fryer, oven, broiler, etc makes awesome garlic bread and is incredibly simple.
Or buy a lettuce keeper.
I bought that about five years ago. Dollar for dollar, it's one of the best things I've ever purchased.
Amazon has similar in Full/Queen and King for $19.99 I just bought. Fairly warm but I run hot anyway.
The other one listed sounds good, this one is super easy too.
https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/84137/easy-paella/
I don’t get too caught up on ingredients, sometimes we just use regular sausage instead of chorizo, thighs instead of breasts, throw whatever scallops we have in the freezer on top at the end. It’s very forgiving, and easy to do on a grill. We always add some white wine, varietal doesn’t seem to matter, it’s whatever we are drinking.
You don’t have to have a paella pan, but it’s nice to have. I grabbed one of these for $15 a few years ago and it’s great for the grill or stovetop. Packs easy for travel and helps feed the hoard I call family.

Since we have a pan, I do my sausage first, move it to the side then cook the veggies and rice in the fat that came out. Let us know how you make out!
I got them as a three pack from Amazon. The bottom of the “box” folds up so they can fold flat when not in use.

I have a 16 in. version of these, which I don't see available anymore. They BEEFY and I cherish them.
Love the FO soup, have not tried the broc/ched. Friends with a Costco membership turned us on to the FO soup; I think it is by the same mfg, When I saw at Aldi...! it worked out to be even a little less expensive than Costco. Here is what I think is the trick. Open each vac sealed soup into a individual casserole dish or FO soup bowl. (those ubiquitous brown crocks ) Follow the microwave insructions until the soup is thawed and mostly hot, then top with a piece of well toasted bread and some more cheese of your choice. Then put in the oven or toaster oven to finish, make sure soup is up to temp of 160°. This is a good description. Makes for a filling dinner with a sandwich and salad on the side. Last time I did a grilled PB&J...
This is what I am considering trying.
Only ingredient is organic lemons and it is reasonably priced.
Amazon sells other brands of organic lemon juice.
I assume it is kind of like cooked lemon juice.
I thought I was buying an all coconut and all ground walnut product that is natural and would not break down into microplastic pieces to get into the environment and eventually our bodies. But they are Mostly PET plastic with a little bit of coconut and walnut. So they are not natural at all. The packaging is misleading. I thought I was getting something like this, but at an Aldi price.
I bought it ! There are so many literally 100s of cheap under the $70 selling price of the Aldi/Crane one on Amazon . The problem with all those are literally only 30-90 day warranty. With the Aldi /Crane you are getting a 3 year warranty!
The Aldi/Crane has virtually no specs listed such as Stroke Length/ Amplitude, Noise Levels, and Stall force. In trying to research and find specs I came across a virtual clone of the Aldi/Crane from Cho Power Sports (seller of Hoverboards) on Amazon & Walmart market places selling for $20 less at only $49.99. This price appears to be a mark down from previous selling price of $79.99
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087WXDGFB/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_fabc_.RFcGbMWXT0NB?psc=1
The $20 premium in Price buying it from Aldi is going to give you the 3 year warranty & easy in store in return.
I personally think the extra $20 is worth it. There are also the many other sub $50 brands on Amazon but most of those don't come with a case and also have very very short warranty periods as well as only the 30 day Amazon Prime return window.
With most things in life, I start with a budget option and see what I like and don't like about it. I think of it like a trial phase. I wouldn't jump straight into a $500 litter robot because that seems expensive when there are less expensive options (albeit different) available. If you find that cheaper options JUST AREN'T CUTTING IT, then try a pricier option! I use these top-entry boxes.
I keep them behind doors with the hole side nearest the door hinge so they have to walk over the little grate and get rid of litter from their paws to reduce tracking. I also use a mix of large and small wood litter to combat odor and avoid using toxic products. I'm glad the first box I tried worked with both of my cats. The litter was a little trial and error though, though nothing was a complete fail. Some just tracked too much or didn't cover up odor enough. One of my friend's cats only poops sitting upright, so this might not work for her cat (unless he only pooped on the side with the opening, which, actually, Yzma does only poop on that side).
I saw every other advent calendar but no cat advent calendars at my aldi today. You could buy the fancy feast one. Still selling at market price on amazon
Looks like it was a find last May! I hope you can locate one! We use one from amazon, not glass..
I just used one of these today with Acer branding but it looks exactly the same. It seemed like an ok setup but I don't have too much to compare it too. The upside/downside is that does not have the extra motion tracking that Oculus has. Less hardware to setup but it is not as accurate. Also, FYI the controllers run on AA so invest in some rechargeable batteries or Duracel stock.
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-AH101-D8EY-Windows-Reality-VD-R05AP-002/dp/B075PVLN2P
Get the one I linked instead it's only $178 on Amazon right now, it's the same thing, just different branding. It may not be as good as Oculus but it's also a fraction of the price. Just make sure you PC hardware is VR capable first.
I bought a 32oz container from Amazon a couple years ago for $40. Now it's ¢140 and I'm almost out.

I posted asking about these a week ago or so and got bad reviews back. I’ve had these in my cart on Amazon for a while and they get pretty good reviews for battery life (as long as you use good batteries) so you might try them, even though they’re twice as much. Was using the olive oil in the can until I bought this on Amazon
Olive Oil Sprayer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JJLWXMS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Beginners tips, I got very angry with this as it wasn't working as I had hoped, turned out I under filled the bottle and the straw was dead center of the bottle so no oil could get through. I packaged it up ready to return it then read more reviews. So I gave it another try and curved the straw so it would be off to the side, worked perfect. I do notice sometimes instead of a spray it gets a stream but it goes back and forth just get a feel for it but I love it!!
This is the only jarred TM sauce that I truly loved... but I wouldn’t buy it at Amazon prices!

If you can spare $50 for a budget/beginner model, I recommend this one. I have it and it's definitely served me well for the past 5 years with frequent use. It's not the best burr grinder out there, but it's more than adequate for French press / cold brewing. I definitely recommend investing in a grinder; there's a world's difference between using preground and grinding yourself.
If you need cheaper and are willing to work on your forearm muscles, manual conical burr grinders (I have this one too; good for travel) actually perform amazingly well as long as you're patient and willing to do a mini workout.
It might be worth checking the battery. Odds are they are older than "normal" and just may have run out. Probably a "button battery".
If it's the common "2032" type, you can even get rechargeables like this.
I know, I was just gonna say the same thing. And that container is SO pretty. I ended up with this canister by Airscape for my coffee beans and love it. I buy coffee beans in 1 kilo containers from Costco, so this works perfectly and pushes the air out of the container when you close it. Not as complicated as it sounds, LOL.
That stinks. Mine always has these 13.5 oz Azul brand cans.
https://www.amazon.com/Azul-Coconut-Milk-Lactose-Gluten/dp/B07TSQDFPP
Never buy electronics and stuff you want to last for a long time from Aldi... I'd recommend https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00F6AX2R2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IcueFb2M5QGR9 for a cheap but really good pan. Buy a set of silicone tools and it'll be a joy to cook with it.
FYI-There are others on Amazon that are similar to the Aldi version for approx $100 dollars US! I have the Aldi stand that I picked up on clearance for super cheap and it is fine. The Park is going to be $$$, however, other stands have been compared to it that hold up quite well.
Yeah, I see what you mean. This Is the exact one we bought on Amazon for $12 last year but it doesn’t seem to be available :(
Came here to ask this as well. If they are durable, then it’s a steal, considering that one 15 lb kettlebell costs $15 - $20 on Amazon.
It looks like Target only has the Dark Mint Tim Tams.
I saw another post on the Aldi brand version and decided to try the Arnotts. I found the Original, White Chocolate, Dark, and Chewy Caramel on Amazon and they were all good, but I really liked the White Chocolate. They are pricey though. Maybe Aldi will get White Chocolate "Delights".
If you have an Android, they have an app in the playstore. Here.
They have all the weekly flyers and Aldi finds. Handy.
Grass Gator Trimmer Line 50-Foot... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016AJCMA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
FWIW, I'd take a look around and see if it's cheaper elsewhere. It's just the line, not the cassette, so I felt like an idiot paying $5 for plastic line I had to load by hand.
Season chicken cook separately. Usually after veg start cooking I use fresh garlic and also Korean fermented pepper paste or sricha and mix it in with some honey served over soba noodles cooked in a chicken broth with diced chicken. Use this as my paste about a tablespoon https://www.amazon.com/Chung-Jung-One-Gochujang-500g/dp/B013HB0CC4/ref=pd_sbs_325_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B013HB0CC4&pd_rd_r=1df13dd4-cc71-11e8-ba98-5b089291c505&pd_rd_w=bZixL&pd_rd_wg=rQhRG&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m...
I brought the one they have on sale for $20 this week. I've been using it and I like it. Works better then the Oral B Cross Action I've been using. It has 3 settings, which is nice. The brush heads aren't too soft or too hard. Can't say how long it'll last but as of right now, I don't feel like I wasted my money.
If you miss out on it or are curious, my wife and I are huge fans of this $25 Delta shower head. I just bought a new one for our new apartment, which has low water pressure. It definitely helps. I've actually been a fan of this one for years, we used to have one in our last apartment. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LV7W4K
I took a look at the Ambiano toaster oven being sold this week, and it is most certainly not good. Not that it is any worse than any other of the crap toaster ovens, so if that is the bar I guess it is OK. The door is not insulated at all. There is no real frame around the door either; it's just a piece of tempered glass. There is only one hinge on the door; a cheap, fragile design. The controls use flimsy, low budget potentiometers. The heating element is standard consumer grade, but it has a fan so they can call it convection, although I doubt it has much effect in an oven this size. What are you going to do with it?
I got so mad at the utter garbage I was seeing when I was looking for a toaster oven I ended up with this: https://www.amazon.com/Adcraft-Countertop-Stainless-Steel-Convection/dp/B004ZF66AY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1470943553&sr=8-2&keywords=Adcraft+Convection+oven+countertop
It's 9 times more than the Aldi Ambiano, but damn it is a nice countertop oven.
they come in $17/2.5Lbs bins, closer to $7/Lb which is cheap for a peanut free mix.

wherever you live, try a nearby gourmet or health food store and mix up your own.
when i can accumulate $50 in groceries, i will buy from walmart online, but rarely nuts.
other online places i suggest for nuts is nuts.com and the nuts sold on vitacost.com
