How nice of you to be thinking on getting them something for the birth of their newborn....don‘t overthink the whole thing, you were 13 when your nephew was born, nobody expected anything of you then (I hope!). So here are my thoughts as a first time mom....people give way to many clothes as gifts!!!!! Goodness, our baby didn‘t wear half of them 🤣 So anyway, how about a rattle, a toy that babys can grip easily (https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B071FLSWBS/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=baby+toy&qid=1621507569&sr=8-5) ...why don‘t you just go to a store and buy a toy that you get drawn to? So about your nephew...why not gift him an afternoon with you? Spend some one on one time with him? Go to the park, the zoo, buy him ice cream and such? I think after his sibling is born, he will appreciate having people spending alone time with him...good luck and congrats on becoming an aunt again!
I found that I was a little unsure of myself when I first started swaddling...

These made it super easy to figure out on my own especially when she was very small. I didn't always use it but it really did help on occasion when baby was very small and needed some extra reassurance when a little over simulated. These are nice because I could tuck her in and the little velcro sections we're easy to figure out. For us the 5 S's of shushing, swaddling, sucking, swaying and on the side... Really did work for us. It took a few times attempts but it did help eventually.
I then graduated to the traditional swaddle blanket. These were especially helpful when she got too big for the other swaddles. I found a larger muslin one the easiest ad most versatile.
She's a very physical child so when she started arching her back and moving herself around... I stopped. I also weaned on myself off of it by all the using it when I needed to and when she had supervised sleeping. We then transitioned to use a sleep sack and we've been using it ever since. I recommend the Zen sleep sack... It is a little more expensive but it's effective.
We have an L-shape couch, and we bought a fence/gate (https://smile.amazon.com/Regalo-192-Inch-Super-Adjustable-Mounts/dp/B003VNKLIY/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=baby+gate&qid=1618775549&sr=8-9) to put around the couch and put a playmat down in the middle. When she got mobile enough that it felt restrictive we swung the fence around to the other wall, so she has basically the whole room except the things we wanted to gate off (TV, dog bowls, etc.). Has worked great and we're getting a lot of value out of it. 15 months old now and no plans to change the system soon.
What about this bouncer? There are lots of positive reviews, and numerous people said they bought it because the Babybjorn was too expensive.

This little giraffe toy seems to help a lot of kids. Mine loves it. I think the rubber feels good on their gums.

Infant medications such as Tylenol, Motrin, gripe water, gas drops. It’s so nice to already have on hand Vs. having to run to the store when they are sick/teething.
Nose frida- it looks weird but is definitely better than the booger suckers (for lack of a better word) the hospital gives you.
A nice blanket. Like one that would be a keepsake and not one the mom would purchase.
Teething toys- mombella mushroom is my son’s favorite. Could get a couple different ones. These are so nice to have and most people focus on the newborn needs.
Socks that actually stay on- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T9T9LPI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_kgLHFb9Z3SWM4 These are the only ones that worked for my son during the newborn stage.
Someone bought me bubble bath and bath soak. I love baths so it was nice. Especially since that is the only “me time” I get (even that is limited).
I honestly can't tell from this picture. It looks like not pregnant, though. I had several with faint lines when my period was late, but all but one ended up negative. That most recent one ended up just being too early to tell and it was a different brand than the others. I have had false positives from several brands, including faint lines. I always have better results with this one:

As it seems to me, it is not convenient to use video surveillance of a child and it really has many drawbacks.
You will not be able to track the child with the help of a phone or tablet, ordinary cameras have absolutely no special functionality for which they buy baby monitors.
She will just record everything that happens in the house. And for a child so hard to keep track of. Every second or every minute something can happen.
I would advise you to use a baby monitor. They are not just so common in the market.
For my baby, I bought a baby monitor from MonBaby, it records all physical changes and if something is wrong, immediately sends a notification to the phone in the form of a long beep.

I purchased this one back in October. Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Baby Monitor With Interchangeable Optical Lens, White/Biege https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ECHYTBI/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_q5xSvb650MQRJ
Started using it in May and absolutely love it. It's so simple to use, lightweight, and has a great range. The night vision works well. The video quality is not anything like HD but good enough to see what's going on with baby. My only complaint is that when it loses signal it has a very loud beep. This has only happened a few times though and it comes back quick.
