Just thought I would share because I haven't found anywhere else that talks about alternative bass pedals for the KOC.
If you would like to purchase the same adapter I'm using I bought it on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08L51BY1L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Could you use something like Autohotkey to have a keypress press one key, and a keyrelease press a different key? This post seems like a solid idea for that.
Yup, I used a Dell optiplex for a PC (which I placed at the bottom of the stand) and I used these speakers -

Here's the stand

As the comment below says, perhaps a Z stand would be better for stability.
I use a $26 stand from Amazon and it works great. Choose your monitor based on the panel not the stand it ships with.
You can get something like SmallRig Smartphone Video Rig and attach it to another arm mount.

For anyone in the future with a similar situation, here’s a 100% effective solution - and it doesn’t introduce any lag, either!
I forgot I had an HDMI switchbox laying around (like this: (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CKZR52G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_X8Q5Fb3E8R5CF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). It’s splits the audio signal from the HDMI out to 3.5mm jacks as well optical jacks. As soon as I remembered that, I figured I would just pull the separated optical signal from the HDMI and feed my DAC with it.
BOOM! Full, rich, crackle-free audio through my DAC and amps now. Bye-Bye crackly USB audio!
I see many thread on similar issues, so hopefully this helps people in the future.
The adapter i ordered is this off amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NJBD90/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this stand. If you have the perfect spot for the controller on the desk then keep it there, if not I'd suggest the stand.
I like it because I can adjust the height of the stand. Additionally I can move it closer/away from the TV. It allows me to move it to the perfect spot.
I play bemani in my living room, and sometimes when I have company I move the controller and the stand in order to make more room and avoid telling people to not use it as a coaster. The stand survives moving well.
