PurOrganica Urea 40% Foot Cream -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7ULJSD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This stuff is a godsend. It got rid of my dry feet and I notice a difference if I stop using it for a couple days.
I recommend Tresemme’s deep clean shampoo.
I also recommend the conditioner from the same line, but be careful that you don’t order the 2in1 shampoo.
This stuff is the probably the most cost effective and effective clarifying shampoo I’ve used if you want something that will really degrease your scalp.
Follow up with a conditioner taking care to only apply it from your ears down.
I have very fine 1a hair, and an oily scalp and skin. The trick for me is to wash every day BUT I have to use very mild and moisturizing products, otherwise, my skin starts to produce more more oil to compensate.
I cannot say enough good things about this random shampoo I found on amazon. I use it daily, and my hair has never looked better.
I also use a scalp massager with my shampoo to really make sure I'm cleansing my scalp.
Then, I use a pretty heavy conditioner, but just on my ends, about halfway down my hair length. I'm using a locally-made conditioner at the moment, (this one,) but I think any silicone-free moisturizing conditioner will work well too.
Hi, I have very fine hair (but a lot of it) and I hate skipping even 1 day of washing. My hair is extremely healthy because I found the right shampoo – it doesn't damage my hair and is meant for daily use. I use It's A 10 with keratin. There are no sulphates or phthalates, and it's super gentle on my hair. I am not sure if it will work for you as haircare varies from individual to individual, but I highly suggest it. My hair is all the way down to my waist, so washing daily is annoying, but I absolutely love this shampoo and how gentle it is. I also use an argan oil conditioner every day (I avoid the my roots) and it works extremely well. I have now been doing this for years, without any damage. I don't know if it will work for you, but I think the quality of the products we use definitely affects our hair, especially if we use them everyday!

I hope you enjoy! I also highly recommend the wet brush. Specifically, this one which is the original. It’s one of the only brushes I’ve used that doesn’t snarl my hair. (For instance, the tangle teezer made my hair snap off and become more tangled) I also like a big round brush for when it’s dry, to brush it with my head upside down for a bit of (short-lasting) lift.
I started using coal tar shampoo and it really helped after a few uses. I use it just as needed. I seem to have seborrheic dermatitis and it's miserable.
I don't know that it's making my scalp any healthier, but it feels so good.
Sure! I use both of these filters and they’re both great:
^^this one is best for value$$. Along with the filter, it comes with 2 cartridges. This is also the first ever filter I got, it was easier through Amazon and I wanted to try it out. It says 1 cartridge lasts 6 months but I personally changed every 4 months or so. It’s been great.
^ this is the 2nd I recently purchased. It’s “sprite shower filter”. Through reviews and looking a Reddit posts this seemed to be pretty good and I got it in the store. I just started using it so I can’t say much but it does seem great so far. This one only comes with one cartridge(majority of them do) so after 4-6 months I would need to purchase a sprite cartridge. But tbh at this point idc lmao about purchasing cartridges since it’s helping my hair.
I thought your link was for the Aqua Bliss one which is what I use. I am considering adding another filter (they can stack) for chlorine like the one you linked.
This is the one I have. I have a detachable shower head (the big spray part with a hose, not the stationary head) and I noticed no difference in pressure, but my pressure isn’t intense or anything. I keep my shower head on a high pressure nozzle (instead of the rain setting) and haven’t had issues, but if you are extra sensitive to pressure and don’t have an adjustable nozzle, it might decrease the pressure? The documentation with the filter says it shouldn’t reduce water pressure, but based on the shower head I can’t guarantee that it doesn’t. It just doesn’t noticeably reduce mine.
My very fine, thinning, super oily and very long (lower back long) hair has movement and volume compared to my hair without the filter. It also doesn’t look as oily as fast and the hair I lost (an alarming amount) is growing back in. I don’t use a volume shampoo because they seem to dry out my hair and make it feel rough, nor do I use much product on my hair as I don’t really leave the house much, but I don’t need to use a clarifying shampoo in my hair nearly as often.
If the filter I have interests you, feel free to ask as many questions as you have - I was desperate when I bought it so I just bit the bullet, but I wish there was more info on the filters as attempting to research with reviews that aren’t catered to me and sometimes seem promotional was the worst. I’m happy to help you decide based on my experience
This explains why I couldn’t get it.
I switched to the Clarify and Shine Neutrogena one and my hair actually seems to like it better!
>silicone shampoo brush
I've tried the no-poo route to slow down oil production for almost 2 years now and it hasn't made much of a difference. I use dry shampoo in my hair, applied throughout my scalp before I go to bed and don't brush it out. My favorite brand is Batiste's XXL volume (The regular Batiste doesn't do it for me) and I buy it in bulk. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LC12PTM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use a brush from this brand! https://www.amazon.com/Bass-Brushes-Bamboo-Handle-Medium/dp/B0007V6PFQ/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=Bass+Brushes&qid=1617850134&sr=8-8
It looks weirdly tiny in the Amazon picture for some reason, but I promise its normal sized in real life haha
This shampoo (Degrease Shampoo for Oily Hair Care https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009DU4QYE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CJ4VWRP97V3T954DHR6M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) works for me. I might work for you. It’s too harsh IMHO to follow to instructions on it more than once or twice. Put it in a bottle with a pointy tip (like the kind you use to apply hair dye) and apply directly to your scalp instead on on top of wet hair. Use a soft silicone hair scrubber to work it thoroughly over the head. Then rinse it out. Just the rinse of it should be enough to clean rest of your hair. You’ll have to follow with a conditioner (start away from the scalp) as it’s not moisturizing.
I want to second what someone said below about a scalp brush. That was the number one thing that worked for me after years of trying different things.
My issues always seemed like seborrheic dermatitis (really itchy, flaky scalp and super oily hair) and I had a really hard time keeping my hair clean to the point where the top of my head would be clean after a shower but the bottom layers were still super oily. I went to a dermatologist who suggested it was fungal and I used the ketoconazole shampoo she prescribed but didn't notice much difference. I just kept washing with apple cider vinegar to clear it out every couple of weeks.
When I tried using the scalp brush, I was shocked by how much cleaner my whole head felt and how less oily and itchy my scalp was. It really worked wonders for me. My scalp definitely still can get itchy and flaky after a day or two of not washing (I tried the whole train your hair by washing it less thing but it hasn't worked for me) but the scalp brush really helped me a lot (and was only $8 on Amazon).
Thank you so much. I'll give this a try and see what happens.
You can use a lot less of it when you put it on clean hair. Then when you sleep on it it stops the oil from building up, and the powdery feel tends to be gone by morning. You wake up with great hair with this method! Also try a silk pillow case. Silk won’t absorb oil so you won’t be laying in oily powder all night.
Organic Dry Shampoo Powder - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LGBWPYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_wbwCFbCGMX5X1
This is what I use, I find that it doesn’t leave much of a residue, especially when I just use a little, it has a very clean feel and it works as well, if not better than aerosols. The dark might be fine for your blonde hair if you want to avoid that powdery look, it’s not that dark.
When I apply it, I use a big puffy powder brush, I lift my hair in one inch sections from my part, and I just lightly apply it to my roots and scalp. I then massage it around with my fingers, brush it out with a boar bristle brush, then sleep on it. In the morning, I use my boar bristle brush to brush out any excess, then style as usual.
Get a showerhead with a replaceable filter. It might not be the problem, but it’s worth a shot.
A friend of mine has used that tea tree shampoo for ages, and she is now having trouble with oiliness. She thinks the formula has changed. I recommended this (very random) shampoo which I use every other day. It’s great for my oily scalp and normalizing when it has gone haywire.
