The block below the Network drop will be empty. That is why there is a blank there.
You can try to get a Network Switch if you go to say Best Buy, Memory Express, Amazon etc...
A Switch will allow you to add a few more ports to a main drop like that.
For an example.
Netgear 5-Port Ethernet Switch
Basically if you are able to make a Switch work in your Dorm Room, you would hook that current Yellow cable to any port on the switch.
You would then connect another Ethernet Cable to the Switch for every Laptop or Desktop you want to access the Network/Internet on.
Hope that helps!
Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Trippy-Mushroom-Tapestry-Fantasy-Hanging/dp/B09RZRPLY5/ref=sr_1_99?keywords=Mushroom%2BWall%2BArt&qid=1671418760&sr=8-99&th=1 the one I have is the largest size that’s offered
What I would do is get one of these:

It sits on the desk and is very sturdy and will hold your monitor most likely, just be wary of putting it in portrait mode because it might not go all the way.
I got this exact futon from walmart for the listed price and I have to say I'm really impressed with it. It feels quality and I plan on putting it in a small space under my bed. The website has a bunch of affordable futons so if you shop around you may find one in your price range.
I have a similar problem with my loft bed but the gap isn’t quite as large. I was looking at this but it might not cover the entire gap for you but like another person said, a body pillow could do the trick for you! Good luck!
I’m choosing between a bean bag chair or a saucer chair like this one Urban Shop Sherpa Saucer Chair, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079JG3VNC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2M5IFbGXK6A4B, do you know anything about these?
You can find some fairy lights on Amazon that are color changing. I got ones that can do warm or cool white, and a bunch of other colors including just a straight mutlicolor setting. They also have different twinkle settings too. :)
there’s some on amazon that are easy to install so i’m guessing they’re just as easy to take out. i’ve looked at this one so far. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YN9JXNW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_oiDXEbD4RDK5M
Why would a 12 year old be going to a college dorm?
But, there are rails you can buy to attach to the bed if really necessarily. I would first talk to your child about it as he may not want them, or may even fear being bullied for them as the other roommates most likely won’t have them.
Here’s a link from one off amazon

Quick search on Amazon pulled up this.
As for white screens, you could probably get away with a large white bedsheet. Check your local thrift store or Ross-like store.
