For meditation, I would just download the Insight Timer app and start there. There are tons of different types of meditations to fit your needs.
For Chi, I would look on Meetup.com to see if there are any local Qigong groups. It's a great way to learn about Chi by using your own body movement. There are also tons of books on the subject.
As for yoga, just take a class. Don't think too much about it...just experience it first hand. Depending on where you are, sometimes studios will offer an introductory package of like 30 days for $30 or something to that effect. Start with Hatha Yoga which focuses on light movements and breathwork, then once your body is engaged with it, move into Vinyasa classes. Also, search on youtube for Sun Salutations. It's a great series of postures to start your day and only last for about 10-15 minutes.
Regarding Energy Healing, Quantum Touch by Richard Gordon is a great place to start. Then, maybe move into Barbara Brennan's Hands of Light if you want to get more scientific about it.

For the depression, imo, yoga is where you want to start. Exercise is the best medicine for depression, I can tell you from personal experience as I had a ten-year bout with it.

Best of luck!
You did but unfortunately the booking site I was using was making me pay so I had to change the site. If you could go to this link and rebook the appt that would be great. The old one wasnt showing me the time you selected or your contact info...
Thank you for your response. I'm sorry that I'm a month late in responding; it gave me a lot to think about.
I like thinking of the heat as a by-product of the body channeling energy and acclimating to it. It makes sense to me possibly in terms of how much energy may be being channeled, and makes me wonder whether or not one's ancestors having experience with channeling energy would have an impact on the descendent's body.
I took one reiki class so I'm not too familiar with it. The few times I've experimented with it the energy had different colors. Otherwise all I've been doing is following instructions from this book, where the energy is being called from the universe, or the divine, or just somewhere above the top of the head. I'll look into different sourcing, it sounds fascinating.
Since you are familiar with your chakras, may I suggest the book EFT through the Chakras. It makes it easier to bridge to energy work without getting super woo and weird about it. It makes it feel like a light exercise and is pretty quick and fun (especially if you do it with music).
You're on the right track--the goal is to find ways to calm your parasympathetic nervous system, lessening both anxiety and the amplitude of mood swings. Good luck and keep breathing :)
