These are what I currently use. I try to find smaller sizes for things like original Gameboy everdrives, but I don't go below 8gb. So far these work well in what I've used. I also had some full-sized ones for the everdrive 64, but I have an older v2 model of it as well.
I've used this feature literally hundreds of times. (I'm terrible and need to have a save state to complete many levels) It even works with SG-1000 games. Like most problems, you probably have an SD card issue. Be sure to use SD card formatter 5.0.1 and then copy everything back over. You also might have a bad rom. Many Game Gear ROMs were made the 1990s and can be funky. You might try a different ROM of the same game. Make sure you have the SMSSYS folder in the root directory of the micro SD card.
I also don't think that's possible. Maybe if there's some kind of frame buffer that contains a fully rendered image of what's going to screen?
There's a ton of super cheap HDMI capture devices on Amazon like this. If you're not picky with image quality you can capture screenshots on the cheap with one of those video to HDMI converter boxes.
Sandisk Ultra is the one card that seems to have consistent issues with Everdrives.
This Kingston card is the specific one that a lot of people use with Everdrives. It works great for me with my GBA & N64 carts.
I had "SD card not found" issues with the regular SanDisk 32GB cards so I tried out a few different ones in my GB X7 and this one worked so I bought two: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013TMNKAW
But maybe I just got a good batch. So weird how the EverDrives are picky about their SD cards.
The Super Everdrive X5 supports up to 128gb SD cards. You need a formatting tool to get anything larger than 32gb to work.
That being said, Amazon does sell 16gb to 128gb of Sandisk MicroSD cards.
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B073K14CVB
I use this: SanDisk128GBUltraMicroSDXC
The complete US sega cd library is ~100gb, and that leaves plenty of room for the Genesis, Master System, SG-1000, and even GG2SMS libraries. I think my card is it 111gb used.
I will give those a go. I use these batteries in my console. https://www.amazon.co.uk/EBL-AA-Rechargeable-Batteries-Performance-White/dp/B011RE1JKW/ref=sr\_1\_8?crid=14EPDKKQKL7U7&keywords=rechargeable+battery+aa&qid=1652964159&sprefix=rechargable+%2Caps%2C299&sr=8-8
I'd try thoroughly cleaning the cartridge pins and cartridge slot. Blowing out the dust isn't really effective and can lead to future problems due to moisture and other debris from your breath.
You could get a cleaning kit, or you could get some 99% isopropyl alcohol. Use q-tips to clean the cartridge pins and a debit card plus a microfiber cloth to clean the cartridge slot.
Even if this doesn't solve the problem, it's worth having on hand for cleaning cartridges in general.
R4 Gold Works great. Use an everdrive for gba port and R4 for the DS. Seller on amazon preloads software and sometimes roms.

That is indeed the listing. I will NOT be purchasing this, then. Thank you so much!
I'm trying not to resort to buying a Chinese knockoff, but understandably Everdrives are completely out of stock for the time being with the war and all. I live in Japan and found this available, but my concern is whether it will damage my console pins or fry it via bad voltage. Even with the risk I'm considering buying this as a temporary solution until Krikzz X5's are available again. I assume it's a sin to discuss Chinese aftermarket items here, but do you happen to have any experience with them, or have heard negative experiences with them? People online say the shape of it can damage pins, but if I rarely remove/instert the cartridge, perhaps I'll be "safe"? I realize there's risk involved, but I think I'm willing to take the risk considering the circumstances, and will simply upgrade to an official everdrive at a later time. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I read the description and it says “Support most special chip games such as DSP-1/1B, DSP-2, DSP-3, DSP-4, ST-010, Cx4, OBC-1, MSU-1, GSU (Super FX), SA-1, S-DD1”
They're not. Still 8 in stock on Amazon, and it is already in Amazon's warehouses outside Ukraine.
Get one while you can, for it may be the last Everdrive for a while. This one plays basically every Genesis game released and has all the other bells and whistles except for Sega CD stuff.
Amazon still has them in stock. Be sure to buy from krikzz and not a 3rd part seller Amazon link.
no unfortunately, i live in a far away place, away from civilization trust me...

but never worked, perfect dark still complains to put in one, so either it was faulty, or the connector is not working anymore? i got the console second hand
Yes Im pretty certain SDXC doesnt work with Everdrive and neither does any sd over 32GBs. Get yourself an SDHC thats 32GB like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GYG6T12/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_26XWGDJR1YVXVQYWYDK7
I basically just followed these instructions step by step. https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/ I know you can add different emulators but I haven't had to. I mainly use it for NES, Genesis + 32X, SNES, Game Gear, Game Boy, GBA and PS1. All the emulators come with it. I had basic complete romsets for everything and other than PS1 games, haven't had any real issues. Most of the PS1 games I've tried worked, but there are a handful that did not or had some weird glitch. But all the other consoles work fine.
Classic NES series use a bunch of programming tricks as copy protection to prevent playing on all kinds of platforms (flash cards, emulators), it's probable that you're running into one of these measures. It looks like No-Intro considers the 1 MByte version of that ROM the correct one, while on the Everdrive forums people are saying that the 4 MByte ones No-Intro considers overdumped are working. Have you tried a dump with the MD5 of 23B2EFCD1FAB512D615F99A2D1A11D00 for Super Mario Bros yet?
Try using a smaller SD card size, and if it isn’t new be sure to format using the official SD Memory Card Formatter tool. You can find it here: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
I’d also recommend using version 2.13 of the OS as 3.05 isn’t stable yet, especially not on the Everdrive 64 v2.5
That could also be indicative that the same SD card used on the 2 different carts causes the same issues. Try a brand new SD card and format it with SD Card Formatter.
The SD card needs to be formatted FAT32. I always recommend using the SD Card Association formatting tool to ensure it’s properly formatted to FAT32.
As long as the SD card is compatible, use the formatter, copy over the ED64 directory with the latest and you should be good to go!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ run this, with the sd card attached to your computer, select disk image, write to disk (make sure the letter is your sd card) put sd back in ez flash and turn on
I use this one for almost all my everdrives and they all work flawlessly: https://www.amazon.com/-/es/MB-ME32GA-AM-microSDHC-adaptador-completo/dp/B06XWN9Q99
Bought new off Amazon. Said it was sold by Krikzz. this exact listing:

The raspi is sort of set and forget. It does take a little while to upload the ROMS and then map the buttons for each controller. I just used a logitech ps2 style controller so it would work for all the systems. But since I set it up I haven't had to make any settings changes. I think I only used a keyboard once during set up and never again. It's also cool because you can connect it to wifi and download all the game genie/Pro action replay/gameshark cheats, so in game you just pull up the menu and enable any cheat you want. It plugs in via HDMI and it's so small you can leave it almost anywhere. The basic cana kits on amazon are pretty good. I just got the one that comes with the raspi chip, power supply and basic see through case.
I have the N64 everdrive, and I love it because i can play on my original console with all the original hardware on a CRT. Also, N64 doesn't emulate well on a raspi.
But for all the other retro consoles, I'm super happy with the raspi. I do have a Retron 3, and a few original and multi carts for each system, just to get my favs on a CRT for nostalgia. But overall, for HDMI compatibility and ease of use I totally would get rid of all carts and hardware for a raspi. Save states are awesome too haha.
