She is working really hard. I learned a lot about voter suppression in this movie: https://www.amazon.com/All-Fight-Democracy-Stacey-Abrams/dp/B08FRQQKD5
You know not of which you speak. Meanwhile, as a Sicilian American, the evidence shows that while northern Italians were considered white back in the day that was not the case for southern Italians….
There was an article (maybe even on 538? Or Cook's Report or Sabato or...) from right after the 2018 election. I couldn't find that article, but others are readily available:
Interestingly, both of these studies found that market predictions were more predictable before agencies began polling the electorate, but since that was in 1936 there are plenty of reasons why that might be the case.
Note: I have not done a full dive into these studies, only a very brief skim. But it looks like market prices since 1936 only have a .7 correlation with the results, while polls are .91 correlated. But I'm still looking at the results now (this is interesting!) so my analysis is only surface level atm.
Bunge wrote an entire book specifically on the topic of people that do not affiliate with a religion.

It's fascinating and seldom discussed that segregation was de jure and enforced by government into the 1970s. The government's role in building the suburbs, combined with the de jure segregation, was one of the ways wealth was transferred to the growing white middle class, while blacks were explicitly excluded. Even the way our schools are funded by local property taxes is a vestige of this segregation.
