Sounds like they pre order it directly from Gibbs. But it looks like you can get in on Amazon
usps was bullshitting on updating my package status for 5 days, had me worried as fuck, but it finally came in unharmed! Kept it in the package until the frame came in, I had to display that disk all the time. I dont plan to sell it, but I gotta flex a record this beautiful.

I hate to be this way but if you are going to spend the money on vinyl, why would you essentially want to listen to it on cheap computer speakers? $20 speakers are going to sound terrible. If you want to get a decent set of intro active speakers you're gonna have to spend $80-$100.
Here's a few ones to get you started.
Presonus 3" Monitors:
Mackie 3" Monitors:

I'd recommend saving up a little longer and get something along those lines. There are plenty of other options. Those are just two easily obtainable from Amazon monitors. Maybe some one can point you to something else that's a little cheaper but from my experience over the years you get what you pay for with audio gear.
It’s up for preorder on Fat Beats and Amazon. I don’t know if that helps you out at all though.
I bought mine on Daupe’s Bandcamp the day it dropped and I know they still have leftovers (at least they did the last time I checked). I honestly don’t know why I picked up the glow in the dark one haha I guess the little kid inside me thought it was cool and I obviously don’t have any other records that glow in the dark.

just from my experience w amazon shit they are gonna have the most generic black vinyl mass press
okay so actually I think it should be orange. if not it’s false advertising
I am using corner stair guards https://imgur.com/a/wz9GE Here is a link to some at Amazon but I got them at Lowes. The reason I use stair guards is because one part of the L is flat while the other is curved helping keep the record on the wall. https://www.amazon.com/M-D-Building-Products-43878-36-Inch/dp/B0017GNGJ8/ref=pd_cp_60_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=S1KMC92HEQSJT6APV70R
I don't remember because my parents got it for me like five years ago haha, but here's a similar one on Amazon
Figured I'd drop this link in case some of you guys were interested and didn't see it on the deals sub. I've grown to really enjoy this album for what it is over the past few years, a couple of my favorite Future tracks on here.
Edit: direct Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JBRNZKO
Nice! I just ordered Graduation / Yeezus / Life of Pablo because I really wanted to have Kanye's entire discography. Although that also hinges on ye ever arriving.
You might be interested to know Amazon is taking pre-orders for Common's album Finding Forever, which was produced mostly by Kanye. Here is the link:
I think it only got a single vinyl release back in 2007.
Absolutely, us hip hop vinyl enthusiasts gotta look out for each other haha. Figured I would mention that I also found Common's album Resurrection on Amazon for less than $10 new. Here's a link.
Yeah man it definitely is not the best player I would save for something different.

This player is 100 bucks on amazon. I got it on holiday sale for 80 last year. It's far from high end but it will treat your records well and paired with some nice speakers it sounds just fine. It's a great beginning table. I used a player similar to yours for about a year because it was what i could afford before finally upgrading.
Just enjoy the hobby man! I know the struggle of wanting to buy more records instead of buying a better table lol
They were on Amazon Prime yesterday
EDIT: Here they are
I found another listing for it on Amazon US but it ships from the UK too so pretty sure it is the same people.
Well I had 6 of them framed before and was sitting on some extra records I wanted to display, so I used these record shelf mounts on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QMVKKM7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used heavy duty velcro command strips as not to damage my walls. I really like these shelves as it allows me to re-arrange and add new records any time.
X-posted this from /r/vinyl at the suggestion of /u/jawsofrva. Not everything here is hip-hop, but some great hip-hop finds nonetheless. Checked off a lot of items on my wantlist with this trip. Spent about four hours digging through their crates and listening to stuff, pared this down from a stack of about 80 albums...

^ That right there is a downright legendary compilation. It was spoofed as a real unreleased album made in 8/8/88 but instead it turns out it was just a recent collaboration of all those artists who recreated that sound. For a while heads thought it was an undiscovered unreleased album, but questions were asked and the timeline never added up.
It actually came out long before 2007 on a "leaked" mp3 that circulated the globe long before this CD was created. Why that was never dropped on any legit official LP is a mystery.
Every single track is fire, but here's the Biz
Never heard about CRU, time to do some searching :)
Good looks on the Heltah Skeltah records. Crazy how the prices on Discogs jumped after his death. 140$ for Jesus Price Supastar. I know that demanding that kind of money doesn't mean somebody buys it, but damn.
Hey - the one available on amazon actually IS the bodega flowers version. I was trying to figure out what versions existed but I just ended up getting this one and it is the splatter with the booklet. Sounds just fine, one of the better packaged records I have.

Blu is one of my favorite artists so grab this while you can for that price, its the lowest ever on Amazon. It is regarded as his best album but I prefer Good to be Home just a little more.
well it's 32 dollars brand new on amazon prime, so you are still overpriced.
My local record stores showed me + amazon
The outer sleeves I use are the best, they’re resealable, durable and keep the record air tight!
Got this stuff on amazon. They make a roll of it too and both are surprisingly sturdy. The one side has an adhesive tape on it so you just put that on the wall. The Velcro itself stays together very well, so calling it “industrial” isn’t just marketing
they're these
Thanks, they're these
I was able to snag a pre-order from GetOnDown for the re-issue of UGK - Underground Kingz (RWB) last friday. So I decided to snag a copy of Dirty Money I found on Ebay and Trill from Amazon. Now I just need to get Super Tight.

Something you should start right away, if you haven't, is inner and outer record sleeves. The paper inner sleeves accumulate lots of dust and scratch the records over time. I waited until I already had like 90 records so I had to spend hours sleeving them. So I highly recommend starting now and always keeping some on hand!

If you really want to dive deep then read this: https://www.amazon.com/Cant-Stop-Wont-History-Generation/dp/0312425791
It'll take you from Jamaica to the Bronx to DJ Kool Herc. You can get a lot of artists from the text and start filling in blanks between the 1970's to now.
I don't know of such a sub (I haven't looked tbc), if you can't find one you should create one, I think you'd find engagement.

Questlove wrote the introduction.
“All producers and hip-hop fans must read this book. It really shows how these albums were made and touches the music fiend in everyone.”
–DJ Evil Dee of Black Moon and Da Beatminerz
Placing them farther apart fr ea other, around 6’ will vastly improve soundstage & imaging. Esp when u do a slight ‘toe-in’. U already have them away from the front wall so that’s a good start… start w 6’ away from each other & youre listening position is also 6’ away from the speakers themselves.. try it & it should speak for itself. :)
The turntable is at a disadvantage bec it’s getting resonance from the speakers.. separating the components & speakers helps a whole lot.. if you’re cramped a basic solution is to use washing machine anti-vibration pads to ‘isolate’ them from each other & the table itself.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C2QDDT4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_32T3RWWEVKPCX9Q8GQEF
Stands can also be had at AMZ for $40, u just gotta do a bit of extra work to get them as solid as possible (filling w sand, reinforcing etc).
Its really not that deep, this is a one off that was just something cool. The sawblade vinyl only has 1 song on it its really not meant to be used to dj with.
The same weekend album has a regular vinyl.
Similar things have been done such as the blue ice vinyl in 2012, a vinyl made from a ice mold.
Theres been a multitude of vinyls made from unconventional materials that arent meant to be played everyday but moreso a collectible.
Arguably all vinyls are collectable. Very few djs nowadays use physical vinyls to create a set. Many use turntables without a vinyl to create effects.
An exception to that is that some sound engineers or beat creators sample audio off of old vinyls but even then all of these collectors vinyls have a regular vinyl as well.
I think your looking at this vinyl way too deep. Its really just a collectable.
Cheers.
Also if you would like the regular vinyl here a link.

But the quality is a little bit cheap. Looks still great tho!
I think so too? Butttttt... I think it was a bit of a staple in 90's producers crates when they all worshipped at the alter of breakbeats. Cosby got breaks, certainly not Amen, Brother or Funky Drummer but he did a cover of Get Out Of My Life Woman (oh, the irony) that is pretty dope. His samples
That is a power house of an album. Every track loaded with who's who of guests and it works perfectly. I only have the CD, I regret not buying this record when it was cheaper.
Seems like that album, and Statik Selektah – Spell My Name Right which came out right before that were really at the top of their game in terms of overall production and collabs.
Unrelated, but curious, what about that other thing you mentioned you got going on? Is it going on?

I don't ever get sick of this 2012 joint. Skits included, almost no filler IMHO.
There is a Madvilliany part 2, it's great, but it's more of a remix album of the first album than a sequel.
Edit: @ the guy downvoting reality... Discogs link
i assume she was talking about this one
the annoying thing is idk which specific release it was (i should've written down the CAT number tbh) otherwise i'd just check for myself

The Big Fudge kit on amazon has one. The better version is one that's silicone. If you want to step up from there, there's a UV Needle Cleaner and a bunch of other cleaning supplies from Hudson Hi-Fi. They also have a gel bubble stylus cleaner. Their quality is pretty solid and it doesn't break the bank.
I think 45rpm vinyl sound a little better then 33rpm- at least on my set up. So, I guess it's a preference.
Here's a interesting link I just found.

Slightly embarassing, but I actually found out about Jazzmatazz via Sublime
Heres the link - https://www.amazon.com/Music-Album-Frame-Hardware-Installed/dp/B06Y19B89Z
It was a snug fit, but the four locks on the back have an adjustment which really helped. And thats a good idea, I might just do that. Good looks
There were earlier European releases and a few other countries released it. I think there are some promo versions too, but honestly I'm not sure if they were legit or not. Either way this is the first time it's been on LP that I could find anywhere near a reasonable price.
It's on MOV, and if you are familiar with their pressings you know it'll sound great. It was supposed to be released as an RSD release last year and I think this is what came to fruition. I was surprised to find it shipped under 25 bucks at discogs from seller Collector's Choice in the US. That's very reasonable for a MOV import.
For those familiar with the CD, the bonus Cypress Hill / Pearl Jam track is on this HQ MOV reissue. Highly recommended and well worth the import fee Music on Vinyl comes with.
I've been wanting this for a while and I finally got my copy at Discogs today. I think I spent 25 after shipping, not bad at all.
You can find them here they come as a pack of six, good quality and good price too.
It’s been listed at amazon.com and .co.uk, but no release date yet. 3 disc boxset, looks like 2LP and a 10inch.

I found it from this sketchy ass seller on amazon. came earlier than it said and in perfect condition thankfully. here
These are the ones I use to sleeve my collection. They fit almost every gatefold, double LP albums and even 3x LP albums as well. I like them because they don’t get foggy or cloudy which tends to happen with cheap sleeves over time. Also makes it easier to slide out the album when pulling from the shelf.
Also I recommend after sleeving your records that you keep the LPs stored outside of the jacket, use the sleeve as a pouch and store the LP right behind the jacket that way you can avoid constant wear on the jacket. >I hope that made sense.

Great start to your collection! One thing I recommend, however, is to pick up some outer sleeves on Amazon. They’re relatively cheap and will keep your records mostly safe from any scuffs or wear from that storage cube.
I use these. 100 for $22!
I'm doing something similar, the disks are in the (typically) white covers they come in and each set of disks for a vinyl is also in a plastic covering. All of those are then placed in this.
Got them off Amazon actually. Little pricier than I would have liked but their very very high quality. I considered making some but bit the bullet and im glad I did. Heres the link below

Sweet find. Got a question. On the right, what are you using to store your records? Looks like a wooden box of some sorts. I've been looking for some tabletop options. Ran across the Kaiu but don't really like how the records would lean on each other nor that they wouldn't be sitting on a flat surface.
