Hey ISFP friends-- I wanted to share this story because it's pretty neat and the person in question seems a lot like an ISFP to me. I read the Kindle book and was really fascinated by his experience.
I didn't even know that these "cruises to nowhere" were a thing--but the cruise ship never let off the passengers, out of fear that they would run away. Crazy stuff.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Have a great day.
Start out every morning by thinking about what you need to do that day and make a list.
Here is my all time favorite book of lists:
May I recommand this ! Some people are slow learners but Ramzy Snow taught me that everybody learns, eventually. Seriously though, even an ENTP can learn these practical things, it's not like they can't, you just have to be annoying about it.
Apps
I'll pm the other ones if you want as I continue with my Se lol, once they get my stamp of approval
I've been in the process of trying to find ways to make it easier for people to get organized using technology. Unorganized Data shouldn't be users' problem/responsibility period, especially with PC companies that since their inception have been dedicated to making users more productive. Though I haven't created methods yet I have found lots of tools that will help.
• You have to keep things simple and remember that personal growth is a marathon if you try and sprint you'll exhaust yourself.
• Getting a little better every day will end up being noticeable long-term.
• There will be some days where you have to either take a break or mess up its okay.
Here's my fave enneagram book- it's fun with illustrations and bullet points and examples. In the back index there's even a chart of which enneagram usually lines up with which mbti type (and a relationship compatibility suggestion chart). Anyway, i always thought i was one type and i also related to a few others... and then reading the index in the back i find out that isfps are very often a Nine- which is the shape shifter of the group- identifying with many bc we can truly empathize reeeeally well. And when a Nine is super healthy and integrated, they can have strengths of a Three, getting sh*t done and finding focus and energy in it. And another clue for me from the index in the back was that another type reading Two, or Three, would apparently not really identify with multiple other different types- unless maybe they were the wings of that type, exhibiting the strengths and weaknesses of said type. I do have a favorite "textbook" Enneagram suggested by a "thinker" friend, which really paint that picture of full integration of disintegration within each type. I'll list that, too. Both are complete and research based. Enjoy!

If the feelings you bottle up are feelings of anger, or anxiety, or depression. At least for anger, When you're in the moment of being super angry right now as if you just want to punch a person.... just accept that you are feeling angry and that is ok.
Take huge breaths, for 2-3minutes and there is an asmr video on calming down your extreme frustration on youtube...that helps...at least for me.
Daily Mindful meditation is actually an incredible technique for ISFP because at least for me, when you meditate, you get in a state of nothingness, and you allow all good and bad experiences as what it is...just experiences.
THis helps with anxiety too. There's a neat website devoted to this called www.headspace.com
If its an anxiety thing or something is troubling you, the first thing you do is not to fall into the trap of fi-ni loop. Allow your Se to take over. that means, get out of your room, walk, cook, eat, or do something with your hands at the moment. because your focus now is needed to be here and now as opposed to being stuck in your head. There's tons of resource on tips to break your fi-ni loop.
haha listing shit is hard
some artists/bands i like right now: kanye west (x1000), meshuggah, nine inch nails, young thug, travis scott, chief keef, carly rae jepsen, kero kero bonito, korn, death grips, agoraphobic nosebleed, deafheaven, clipping, actually yknow what fuck this here's everything
I'm glad for you, that's great! A good amount of the typology community doesn't give a proper explanation for Se, and they just generalize it as "empty headed + fast paced 5 senses" which doesn't do it justice. I really recommend getting this book made by Michael Pierce. He explains Se in a way that makes sense.
I've been on a huge spirituality kick. Here's what's in my library right now.
The entire Conversations with God series
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
The Four Agreements and Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz
I'm currently in the middle of Stephen King's It, Maxwell Maltz's Psycho-Cybernetics, and Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and I just got Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray the other day because the Barnes and Noble made cover looked cool, but I don't want to start it until I finish one of the others.
I'd like to get more into science fiction and american history books
