The bulb kind of spins around in the bulb body, but not a full 360° because it comes off at one point. So you need to make sure it will adjust to line up vertically inside the headlight housing without coming loose from the bulb housing. And remember to adjust your beam after so you don't blind people and so you can see at night. It's a big PITA, but worth it in the end.

Well, the headlights I linked work how I describe, I’d really suggest those as they look a good deal more OEM than the VLANDs but these are a solid choice to! My headlight switch has a built in light sensor, got it from China, and although you could get a similar one to me, I’d suggest you get this one:

You have a PQ35 based electronics so while I can’t use this one you can and it’s better to just get this since shipping from China is incredibly slow. Still this is basivally plug and play although you have to plug in the tiny sensor included to your new headlight switch and then hide the sensor on the dash.

All the android radios are made in China in a few factories and then rebranded by many companies. As such you can expect little to no support down the line from them. I headed over to Xdadevelopers to make sure I was getting a recent chipset that was going to have decent community support.

Sound quality on the newer units is much better than I expected. It would be on par with mid grade aftermarket units by Pioneer or Kenwood and the like.

I do. I've read on here that there is another app, Car Gauge Pro, that works with the ELM devices that is better (you can actually initiate tests). Link to thread discussing it. Supposedly it isn't as intuitive as Torque but offers much more functionality.

Torque will show data live from your sensors, you can set up screens with gauges to view certain sensors ( boost, EGT, etc) or view and clear engine codes. It is very intuitive and dead simple to use.

I recommend buying the smallest ELM adapter you can find. Keep it in the glovebox/armrest and bust it out when needed. You can drive with the short one plugged in to collect live data or speed stats if thats your thing.

That works but it's only for that size filter. If OP works on pretty much anything else they'll have to go get the size the other car uses. If you work on a lot of cars that gets expensive. If you plan to work on multiple cars I would suggest this universal filter wrench or something similar. I have yet to find anything this doesn't work on

I installed a similar set on my Jetta, it’s just a few screws you take out install the mud flaps and put the screws back in. It was a Phillips head if I remember, and it was super easy without removing the wheels! I used a 90° drill bit attachment and a light finger on my impact. 10 minute job for all 4 corners.

Probably not what you are thinking of, but on Android I use an app called Fuelio. I use it to keep track of fill ups, costs, and maintenance. I have tried a handful of other apps but I personally like this one the best! Also - no ads and it's completely free!

It was really simple and inexpensive to do, there are kits online that let you replace the headlight control switch with one that has the auto option. You need to run the sensor included in the kit up to your dash and connect it to the new switch. I think at the time I may have ordered it from Amazon.

Here’s one that I found with a quick search but I would do some research and look at reviews before ordering. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I have this in place of my suicatse muffler, along with removing the factory rear resonator on my mk6 2.5 and the sound is amazing. I also have the same resonator and a Vibrant muffler on my '93 geo tracker and the sound is just awesome. I cannot recommend Vibrant enough, I only run them on my cars.

I only tried leds with them and the brand I bought worked but I don’t remember what brand they were now. But they were absolutely secure. I did have to spin one to fix the beam pattern a little but I literally just twisted the bulb another 1/8 turn and it was better.

The heat sink issue was it was wider side to side than the clip on the after market headlights so I had so stretch it over the heat sink and snap it in.

Also remember that factory housings are not designed to work with leds and the beam pattern is horrible and blinding to other drivers. It also creates weird reflections and glare to you because it’s not angled correctly. That’s why I switched to projector housings to see better at night.

Wasn’t too complicated, I managed to do it without dropping the axle. You can watch a few YouTube videos and decide if it’s something you want to try. You will need an 8mm triple-square bit, I recommend thisset on Amazon.

I did an alignment a while ago and found mine was still straight after the repair but if you’re a purist you can get one afterwards, they’re not cheap though.

The other stuff just differs based on what trim package you have as others have said. Higher end trim packages (more expensive) come with more features like push button start. Wolfsburg Edition is an example of a trim. It’s a particular set of options.

There were a few things i wish I'd had before i started the install: 1/8" NPT Tap, various extra vacuum tubing and accessories, a larger variety of wire connectors, adhesive or thread in zip tie brackets.

JC Sportline has a lip spoiler. If you are going to do a low profile wing, you might check eBay(might also check it out for a lip spoiler). You just have to be careful of quality and whatnot.

I have bought 2 (one for my ‘13 Jetta and my wife’s ‘18 Tiguan) tow hook plate brackets from GMG Motorsports and absolutely love them. They are very low profile but will set you back about $70. You’d have to add an aftermarket system to get CarPlay, but it should read the device as an iPod for music.

Your rattle might be a heat shield for the exhaust.

It was cake asf to install. Plug and play. All you need really is a butter knife and some tape or zip tie to neatly tuck the wire inside the side compartment. There’s plenty of videos on YT that shows the installation process. Only $30 and so far, so good.

Fit and finish are great, install took about 90 minutes (have to remove the bumper)

If it's leaking oil it's probably the main seal - do some research on this problem before attempting to fix it just to make sure this will fix it. But even if it doesn't you're only out $40 instead of $1300 for a whole new pump which is probably entirely unnecessary.
