I have used Fuelio for ages. You can set recurring costs such as insurance, track fill ups, set you favorite gas station, and more.
From Google play store: "Car management, gas prices, consumption, expenses, mileage log, GPS tracker
Fuelio is simple, easy to use android application to track your mileage, gas consumption and gas costs. Using this App you can track car expenses, auto service, your fill-ups, fuel consumption, car´s mileage, gas costs/gas prices and save money.
See the overview of mileage, gas costs for one or more vehicles. Supports different fuel types and now also bi-fuel vehicles. Can visualize your fill-ups on Google map."

Kleiner Thread-Highjack, Android Usern kann hier nur Fuelio ans Herz legen. Sehr einfach zu bedienen und man kann sich detaillierte Berichte als Excel-Datei ausgeben lassen.
I've been using Fuelio for years, primarily for seeing my fuel mileage but also to keep records of repairs. But it can also do reminders no problem. Very materialized design and has cloud backup support.
Not an option in the rider app currently. Use a third party like Fuelio which you can use to track all spending on your car and has a live GPS tracker mode.

I don't know how perfect the material design is, but Fuelio has been amazing to me so far, and it's free.
Fuelio on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kajda.fuelio&hl=en (edited to add link properly)
Probably not what you are thinking of, but on Android I use an app called Fuelio. I use it to keep track of fill ups, costs, and maintenance. I have tried a handful of other apps but I personally like this one the best! Also - no ads and it's completely free!
I purchased my first car in 2018: a Renault Clio 2 from 1999. This is my first car and as of today I've driven it for over 60k kilometres. Since I've kept track of most costs in Fuelio I hope I can help you gain some insights in what to realistically expect if you go for a relatively light car.
My (current) monthly cost breakdown:
So far so good. Now for the other costs (2018-now):
So lets say that the non-monthly costs (€872 + €1645 + €1912, so excluding purchase of the car) have been €1000/year (so €83/mo) on average. If we include my current monthly costs (€24,33 + €26,01) that would make approx €134/mo in total.
If I'd still drive to work every day (like I did in 2018 and 2019) I'd be making money while driving (because of the reimbursement from work). Unfortunately I'm working fully remotely these days, but since the monthly costs are low I'm keeping the car because it convenient (it's the only car in our household).
Depending on the weather and type of trips I get 15-16,5km/L (6,66L/100KM - 6,06L/100KM). Since driving distance is different for everyone and the fuel prices are very different from what they were a year ago I don't think it makes sense to include my actual fuel costs.
Hope this helps :)
If you are on Android check out fuelio I've been using it for years and love it. Let's you keep track of all the costs associated with the car set up reminders and see lifetime spending quickly and easily.
I use Fuelio. There's no way to calculate the MPG without a couple reference points. How do you expect it to calculate it without information to base it on?
While looking for an app to track my rides I came across Fuelio. It doesn't do fancy things like lean angle etc, but it gives the average speed, distance, time and top speed. You can then export the track to GPX which is actually all I needed.
But that's actually not the main selling point of the app. That would be tracking (fuel) costs. Every time you fill up, you can enter the amount of fuel and the cost. The app will then calculate your average fuel consumption over time. You can also log your maintenance, insurance, and other costs. Painting a very clear picture on how much your motorcycle is costing you. Maybe that's something a lot of people prefer not to know, but it's very interesting to keep track of imho.
I use fuelio. Also tracks petrol prices in your area (assuming people are updating prices/it's recent)

Simple: set fuel tank size, note down odo after each refuel, price and amount put in and it'll calculate your mpg etc.
You can all set reminders for mot/services/insurance as well.
My car mpg calculations are a bit off/it's been floating at the same average for awhile whereas I can track my mpg each time I refuel. For instance I know I get way better mpg if I've done a mainly motorway 'tank' compared to a tank where I've done mixed/mainly city driving.
If you're interested, I use the Fuelio app on Android. I used to use FuelLog, but I like this one better. You can do data backups to your google account as well. I mostly use it for tracking my vehicle's mileage performance over time, as well as determining my average gas expenses per month for budgeting purposes.
Unsure on what apple app store has to offer
Its pretty basic, which is nice.
Supports multiple cars, you can set your fuel RON/AKI rating. A fillup asks for ODO, price/L (or Gallon if you are USA) total cost, and how many Litres (Or Gallons). There is also an option for not filling up your tank.
It has a neat little calculator that lets you input how many Km's/miles you want to drive and spits out a price in fuel you will use. Shows depressing information, like how much money you have spent on fuel this year and the life you have had the car ($2600 here) and most importantly it has cloud backup.
I use it on android but I don't know if it is on Apple or not.
It supports multiple cars and fuel types. Also has cloud backup (google drive) that updates everytime you fill up.
A good app for those on Android to do just this is called Fuelio. I've been using it for 6 months now and gives me the data I need.
It syncs with Dropbox and Google Drive.
Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kajda.fuelio
And I'll try out "linkme".
Linkme: Fuelio: Fuel Logs & Cost.
Fuelio. It logs your gas fillups and has a bunch of stats and charts to help you track your spending on gas. It's helped me get a better idea of my cars gas efficiency since the on board computer doesn't do a good job of it.

Not sure if it's available for iOS.
I know these may not be new apps for some of you, but I'd like to recommend them anyway. All of them are, IMO, really well designed. Very clean apps that offer a lot.
Also just a reminder that a BUNCH of apps are free on Amazon right now. Check them all out here. A couple of my favorites:

Fuelio works pretty well (Android only)

This one is pretty good
Fuelio is a good looking alternative for android
Grocy could work via some customizations https://grocy.info/
But Fuelio is probably better suited
Fuelio would be my pick. Has a ton of features
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kajda.fuelio
Fuelio is one that comes to mind
Fuelio best one out there, no ads!
the app I use is Fuelio
Fuelio Been using it for more than a year now and it is perfect for me
>I am already spending $60+ a week on gas and for the most part I drive to and from work
well according to this, the average driver will see an increase of $100 per year https://www.illinoispolicy.org/pritzker-gas-tax-hike-would-cost-average-driver-100-more-per-year/
Since you mentioned you drive an 06 CRV in one of your other comments, that vehicle averages 24 mpg in "real world" use:http://www.fuelly.com/car/honda/cr-v/2006
You also mentioned in a comment that you have a 20 minute commute to work, obviously I have no idea about your commute, but if you're doing 40mpg, you can travel 14 miles in 21 minutes: https://www.timecalculator.net/speed-distance-time-calculator
So each week you're driving ~30 miles per day purely for commuting. Let's add 5 extra miles for misc stuff... this is 175 miles for the Mon-Fri (35*5). Let's say you drive another 30 miles on Sat & Sun for having fun, errands, returning video tapes, whatever... This brings us to 235 miles (175 + 60) for a 7 day week.
235 weekly miles / 24 mpg average = 9.79 gallons of gas used.
Illinois as a state has an average gas price of $2.981 (obviously you could be paying more if you're near Chicago) https://gasprices.aaa.com/state-gas-price-averages/
So lets just say 10 gallons of gas * $3.00 per gallon = $30 worth of gas per week.
And you're saying you spend double that on fuel every week? Either you're driving more miles than you think you are or you're getting horrible fuel mileage and something is wrong with your CRV.
For reference, I average 84 miles per day in my Focus at an average mpg of 32 and I pay ~$46 per week for gas (and I'm in Illinois). I've used 411 gallons of gas this year, so if I had to pay an extra $.19 on each gallon that would be an extra $78.09. Since there has been 22 weeks so far this year, that represents a weekly cost of $3.54, which works out to an extra $184 per year.
I drive on some pretty terrible state roads every day, so to me personally, that's worth it if the roads improve.
data for my Focus taken from my Fuelio app
Fuelio. I've been using it for years.
Download Fuelio or similar for your phone and record a few times.
It's called Fuelio. I use it for all my vehicles (even rental). I like it.

I prefer Fuelio instead .
