Or I suppose it’s my bead storage, not kandi now that I think about it
I got them here on Amazon if anyone is interested
I’ve tried using clear elastic string a couple of times in both 0.8mm and 1.0mm sizes and I just can’t get it to hold either. It seems that the surface is just too smooth to hold a secure knot that doesn’t come undone in my experience.
That said though there are still plenty of people that use clear elastic string exclusively and they have no problems! I’ve seen people suggest trying different knot types or to put a dab of clear nail polish or some super glue on the knot to hold it together.
But honestly imo I feel like that’s more trouble than it’s worth at least for me, so I use cloth covered string like this and I’ve never had an issue. There’s a rainbow option too!
i use this string! Tenn Well Rainbow Elastic for $9, u get a huge roll of pretty rainbow string that’s good quality and lasts a long time. (i bought my first roll in june and i’ve still got quite a bit left.)
This is a cool idea! I searched google and couldn't find any pony beads but I thought of some alternatives!
You could buy a bunch of little dragon figurines that run about 1-3 inches and put a hole in them or superglue them to a bead. I found a seller on ebay who sells them for $6.99/12. A little pricey and they might be a little bulky on the wrist. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/360855681239?lpid=82&catId=11700&item=360855681239&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=114&ff13=119&ff14=82&rmvSB=true
Or, you can order a shit ton of dragon erasers off of alibaba for dirt cheap! They have a bunch of different varieties. Be forewarned, alibaba can take forever. Erasers are super easy to put on singles though, just poke a hole thru with a needle, and they're generally about the same size as a pony bead. http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/dragon-eraser.html

Here’s some that I use I like the rainbow best but thought I should try to give you some options
I have two sets of 4 interlocking high-heat plastic pegboards that I got from Michaels for very cheap, I wanna say less than $8 each. I've been using them for two years and I've found that as long as they're used on a hard surface, they won't warp. Because they're interlocking, I can do HUGE pieces by connecting them and don't have to worry about each little board warping. Hope this helps! Send me a pm if I can help with any more questions. :)
EDIT: found the 4-pack at Walmart, it's the cheapest at $6.41

no problem! if your run out of totally random beads to make stuff with- I recommend buying this 5 lb box of random beads- it’s got some awesome, odd, mixed-up beads that I absolutely love
p.s. “assorted” and “multicolor” are exactly the same
this is the kind of stuff you’re going to want. try and see if you can find it locally or at another website that isn’t amazon if you can tho!
Bought these off of Amazon. 1/3 to 1/2 by quantity were tiny little circles and then about three were native American headdresses which I threw out immediately. But there's a good mix and they seem pretty good quality. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. A few were some nice surprises like a fisherman in a boat with another smaller fishy charm dangling from the rod and a mini bottle opener with "I love you" written on it which is PERFECT for my best friend.
Yeah, that was EL wire from Amazon. I wouldn’t recommend it for lighting perlers, since it needs 2 AA batteries and makes a high pitched buzzing sound that would get really annoying on a necklace.
Fairy lights like these are better, they’re lighter and brighter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071D5DPSJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_0NwNCbAAKT0DR
I haven’t used them, but I know lots of folks also use LED finger lights for perlers.
My favorite for cuffs and singles is fabric-covered elastic, like this. I like 1mm thickness for cuff bases that need a little bit more sturdiness, 0.7mm thickness for everything else.
I skimmed this, and I can't see any problems with trading it. There aren't any controlled substances (drugs) involved with this fake syringe which the clause they cited seems to be all about. Honestly, if amazon can do it on a mass scale with monetization. I am sure you can.
btw, love the necklace! Its super cool! <3
my god my childhood just came back
these are called snap beads, and this is the same exact set i had!
1mm elastic cord is going to be the best string you ever use
I’m always on the lookout for new bead kits but this has remained a favorite! It has a really nice variety of colors and types.

Are you trying to buy beads to make kandi? Or are you trying to buy premade kandi?
You can get a kit like this on amazon. It will be enough to get you started and see if you really want to get more into it. The beads you're looking for are called "Pony Beads". Premade kandi can be purchased on etsy. Some people advertise on insta.
Beadtin.com is also a good resource.
well, (here)[https://www.amazon.com/PandaHall-16-5x16-5mm-Colorful-Bracelet-Necklace/dp/B08C7RG6PY/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?crid=2I0EF5HXMAM8H&keywords=wooden+pony+beads&qid=1646127489&sprefix=wooden+pony+bead%2Caps%2C285&sr=8-13] some wooden pony(like) beads, they don't exactly match the aesthetic but they're cool.
You can look up “shiny heart beads” on Amazon, and these should come up. But, more specifically, I used these
Maybe these will work!!
Heck yeah welcome! I love black and pink. If you have the means, next time use this fabricy elastic string The clear one you have here works okay but I’ve noticed they get looser over time and its harder to get the knots nice and tight ☮️💟
Is it fabric string? I might know the kind you’re talking about, its kind of a cheap plastic one with some string wrapped around it and it unravels over time because the strings aren’t like woven together and it has like a sparkly string in it? I think. I’ve used that kind for a few singles and they loosen over time. This one is the best I’ve used, 1 spool lasts a really long time and 3 square knots to tie it off with do the trick and it shouldn’t unravel.
Basically you create one of these then you add on to it like this.
They're actually pretty easy to make once you get the hang of it because after you make the base you just zig zag back and forth to create the 3d X's and you can keep adding more layers on top depending on how many rows the base is.
Any specific questions, let me know. I've made a bunch of these.
Haha thank you! The large boxes are from a brand called SGHUO on Amazon! They’re really nice since you can stack as many as you want and add or remove dividers as you need them, though I don’t recommend using them for tiny beads haha. It’s really cool that you can change the amount of space in each section, but that also means there’s a little gap below each one so something like seed beads is likely to get unorganized pretty fast. Hope this helps and here’s the link! :D
Since everyone already said practice, all you gotta do is practice.
No really 3D stuff is worlds easier and faster than the peyote/multi stitch cuffs. Just learn to do an Xbase and make the little triangles pop off it.
REALLY advanced stuff I recommend going to your library and finding the jewelry/bead craft books, they're like cookbooks there will probably be more on the shelf than you can read in a lifetime.
I use this for color patterns sometimes if im stuck in a rut. https://color.adobe.com/
Yeah, stretch magic gets expensive in the small spools, but if you can find the larger spools, it's a bit better. I bought a 100m spool of 0.7mm on Amazon for just under $14 a few weeks ago. Check out camelcamelcamel.com for price histories if you can wait to purchase.
BTW, I had a dream that I randomly ran into you in person and recognized you because of this kandi. It was kinda awkward. haha.

My journey with Kandi is actually very similar to you xD I want to go to an actual rave some day, and I have so much Kandi and beads now~! I've never bought glow in the darks beads from Amazon, but I hope I can help you find some beads.
If you want ALOT of beads pretty quick for a fair price, I recommend this:
5LB of Pony Beads and other shapes & colors
I got this when the price was $14, so if you wanted to wait a little longer it might go down xD Hope it helps!

Most of the beads I ended up getting were more in-person at Micheal's, Joan-Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, etc. But I know you said beads through amazon, but I still hope your Kandi journey is fun and magical! :D

This one is better. It’s amazon!
Thank you for your kindness! I have been making cuffs for a while. This was a wild ride. I made one side at a time after I got the base up. I ordered these in hopes they would be the right amount of length. I think I would have liked to go a little longer. This was a good experience though.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LX50N4Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_nXM4FbDZ61EWP
I use this string from singles, ladders, and for my base in cuffs.
For cuffs: I would use the above string for the base for elasticity, then for the remainder layers I would use transparent stetchy string (0.7) and if I'm attaching a toy then I would use fishing wire to tie in place.
The reason for this would be so the cuff could fit wherever the person wanted it instead of limiting the areas where the cuff could be worn. I use the transparent stretchy string for the other layers so it would blend with the beads and the fishing wire to make sure the damn toy stays on, no matter the intensity of the activity (IE: shuffling, Kandi stomping, etx.)
Use this stuff right here... very elastic and strong! Great for trading and durable bracelets. Once I found this, I haven’t used anything else since for making bracelets, cuffs, etc.

I get my beads from beadtin but my string from Amazon. Here’s the exact one I get, it’s lasted a long time https://www.amazon.com/FUYOTA-Elastic-Bracelets-Stretchy-Bracelet/dp/B089W5JG2F/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=stretchy%2Bstring%2Bthread&qid=1600490688&sr=8-7&th=1&psc=1
I’ve made tons of bracelets (a ton of singles, 2 3D cuffs and 2 rotating cuffs) and I’m only about half way through one of the spools, and they tie easily too
Hey sorry just saw this now but I use these for 3D Kuffs and behind perlers

Here are the lights I used! Thanks!
Check these out. The battery pack is super thin.
I slipped the battery pack into the cuff and strung the lights through in a zigzag pattern. Don’t wrap it around in a circle because the cuff won’t stretch as much due to the copper wire and will be super tight. The zigzag gives it a little wiggle room.
My bad. It’s elastic. Outus 1 mm Elastic Cord Beading Threads Stretch String Fabric Crafting Cords for Jewelry Making (Rainbow, 100 m) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D2CTLZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_RyRJCbHFVRYHY
I've purchased this a couple times https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GPTDB6/ and it's very durable, I've never had the cord break for anything, including some kandi handcuffs me and my bf wear to raves together.
I use elastic string here
For beads you can't beat the price of Jolly Store on amazon here
I used to get super pissed because all the ponybeads from the store are half melted into itself and since I'm making cuff's that last forever I find ponystore is the best price and the beads are awesome non melted quality. I use elastic string to keep the stitch as tight as possible. You have to be careful with it though if you expect it to stretch you have to let loose a little bit of string so it will.
Amazon really does have some unique charms and beads if you search enough but the shipping can be a killer.
Honestly just searching Amazon for beads then looking in the " Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed" and click around you'll find some really neat beads and stuff!!
http://www.amazon.com/Beadalon-Fabric-Elastic-1-0mm-100-Meter/dp/B0047BIRUS/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&qid=1440507408&sr=8-27&keywords=elastic+cord this is the only kind of string you will ever buy again. 10 Bucks for 100 meters and it does not break and its so easy to work with I love it!
Thanks for the help, and thers something i want to ask you; If i would buy the two things from the links i've send, do they contain exactly the same colors, but only one of them is sorted? or is there a diverence?

Unless you're using especially bright EL wire (which I'm not sure exists) you might want to rethink your plan. I used this and it didn't work too well. It wasn't very flexible and was pretty thick so you couldn't string it through a standard pony bead more than once. It also didn't show through too well, even with clear beads. And then there's the cheapness of my particular EL wire. I just strung a lot of beads along the whole thing and wore it like a necklace. It was broken after about an hour. A pretty easy fix with a soldering iron, but a concern nonetheless.
That being said, if you can find the right light, I would love to see you succeed.
