Here is what I used. The gel was also used on me at the gynecologist, like the 32oz huge bottle and that was alright! Anything by them really. Silicone irritates me as well. Be careful I'd avoid glycerin as well honestly. It's in baby wipes, Aquaphor, lots of stuff or I'd maybe use a product with glycerin (ex again baby wipes) and see if they irritate you. It's a large irritant even in people without LS.
Or for a cheaper version ($35), which works great and doesn't require electricity, of you don't have a plug next to your toilet: https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
this is what I use. It cuts it down enough where it doesn’t bother me and is super easy to use the guard protects my skin.
Aquaphor and Eucerine are different products… I actually, use both and find them extremely helpful!
Aquaphor is a product with the moisturizing consistency of Vaseline. It is an ointment I use for moisture and skin protection/buffering.

The Eucerin I buy is a cream body wash that’s made for and marketed for babies with eczema. I have stopped using even the most sensitive of soaps on my lady bits and rear end. A lot more forgiving and gentle for those parts, especially if you’re having a flareup and your skin is more sensitive than usual or dry, itchy, sore and/or broken.

Links to show you what the products are and look like in more detail. I would recommend checking out places like Walmart or local pharmacy if you’re not able to get it on Amazon for a reasonable price because the prices go up and down wildly on Amazon. The prices we pay for “convenience”, LOL 😂
I use finger cots. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HFQQO02?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_F7EPEECNZVTTA33YAS2W While I can’t 100% say I’m not reacting to them I’m pretty sure for 2 reasons: 1) I haven’t had any irritation on my fingers; and 2) I also use them several times a day to apply lanolin inside my chronically dry nose and I haven’t had any problems hotter than that dryness) with my nose.
I bought this one for my mother, who has a pressure sore, and then bought it for myself after my biopsy. I use it on my hard sewing chair and it helps. Check this out! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TYHMZFG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_SCPY35KVYWWEVZ8HRVWM
Links to the Amazon pads I use for anybody interested:
These ones are fully sewn down. They don’t have the extra, loose flappy bits on them: Think ECO FDA Day Pads
The flappy bits on these other, same brand liners give some extra protection for leakage. However, if you’re in the midst of a flareup you might want not want the flappy bits bunching up and rubbing down there.
It’s kind of hard to see in the product photos, but the second linked pads are not fully sewn down all the way around the pad. What I mean is, The hourglass shaped part in the middle of the pad on the first link is sewn all the way down flat so it doesn’t lift up. The pad is all one flat piece. The second link has an hourglass piece that is only sewn around the square part inside the hourglass piece so the rest of the piece kind of flaps up a little bit.
I hope that makes sense and not TMI (iWaffle 🥴). I don’t use these pads for menstruation. I use disposable, organic pads for that. I use these just to protect my underwear and pants crotches from oil. For what it’s worth, these are meant for menstruation and even work for light urinary incontinence if you dribble a little. I just don’t use mime for periods.
Not pantries, but these cotton pads from Amazon help me tremendously when having a flare up and I still have to wear pants with underwear...
They are cotton and reusable/washable. In addition to giving my warzone something natural to buffer it from rubbing on my pants crotch causing further upset, they also provide protection from the crotch of my pants themselves.... I no longer have to worry about the oils I use down there making my pants look like I’m walking around all day with pissy, wet pants!
The coconut oil, for example, rendered several pairs of pants as “not for public eyes” with the oil look before I broke down and bought a few sets of these babies! There on the more expensive side but they’re worth it in my opinion. I bought other liners prior that said they were cotton but I ended up with pads that I can’t use because they are NOT cotton but rather some kind of fleece/poly blend.
Here is the bamboo squatty potty, I love that it's made of renewable materials rather than plastic. Solid study AND folds down for transport in case you want to travel with it.

Oh my gosh! Read this book! The first 20 or so pages goes on about a girl who got diagnosed at a young age (like your daughter) with LS.

Best of luck! Btw, here's a link to how I dealt with my LS after reading Ginny's book -
I use cups and backup washable pads on heavy days, but the biggest lifesaver for me was adding a hand-held sprayer like this one to my toilet. There are cheaper ones that are made of plastic, I chose this one because it's metal.
I spray every time I use the toilet and pat dry with tp or a soft rag. When I don't need a pad, I wear loose men's boxers, not panties. Spraying every time has reduced my overall symptoms even better than just using aloe or coconut oil between clob doses, thus making it easier to use period products.

are you using a pea sized amount and rubbing it in properly ? for a full minute ? i also use finger cots to protect my fingertips from applying. i sit with my legs wide open for a few minutes after application, then i put on underwear right away and go about my day. i use such a small amount that after a few minutes it’s totally soaked in and it doesn’t rub off on my undies and it also protects my thighs. i hear the cream is not as good as the ointment; i use the ointment and it’s really worked for me with no thinning. my white spot has disappeared in only two months and everything feels and looks normal there. if you’re experiencing thinning, you may be using too much steroid or if you really need that much to control your case, maybe ask your doctor about a less potent steroid ? my gyn said the “soaking” for hours thing is a myth, the steroid is absorbed completely within 20 minutes apparently
you could also vaseline your thighs, or buy garters ! they have those thigh bands you can use to prevent chafing when you run, slide em on up and they should protect your thighs ... like this !
