This is assuming you are using Paradox's save files. If you are modifying yours, a bit more work might be needed.
This is the official wallpaper rather than an upscaled frame from the trailer. I just removed the junk at the bottom.
I've put ~380 hours into the game and have yet to hit a hacker. Paradox have said that what they're doing is known about and, they're working to stop it. Said by dev's here.
there is hotkey automation, e.g. you press X, the program emulates QRREAS and magicka thinks you pressed all of those keys
Try fiddling with the (admittedly limited) graphics options while in the demo. Lower textures, lower resolutions etc. The later levels will (if anything) get worse, since you have more enemies onscreen (and multiple spellcasters).
Unfortunately Magicka is not well optimised (or so I heard).
Edit: Have you tried the obvious? Where does your PC stand compared to the recommended specs? http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

I felt the same even before reading that and decided to get used to the controller early. Couldn't imagine playing on the keyboard while friends have controllers, it'd make me feel like the nerdiest nerd ever.
It's really not easy to solo with a controller and i think it might be a bit easier with a keyboard. But it's still more than doable.
sounds fun but they need an arena for that... countdown to start... and lower damage in arena... what fun is there when you can one beam/hit KO an opponent... and if like what you say, start off in a wide area.... without count down there sure to be some non disciplined ones..
they should implement normal, hard, extreme/hardcore/whatever mode in the future if they can... like magicka 2 or something... campaigne can be too easy sometimes.. and im saying that before i even learn about FQAAAS beam of god....
perhaps it's under beta/alpha or construction.. http://www.magickagame.com/game-info/game-modes
