Maybe a beer sign or nanoleafs from amazon? These are kinda pricey but really cool Nanoleaf Rhythm Smarter Kit NL28-2003TW-9PK, Pack of 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079FZGZS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_0sbtBbWDFXJ55
Be warned, extension cords are not rated to be hidden in walls. There are some kits like this one that are though.

LED light strip extensions https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0822FH1C9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_N1L3FbJK9WRKG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The lights themselves are kasa TP link led strips. One set come with 3 led strips and hub. I bought 2 of these and then bought extra extension strips so that there is 8 strips on each side (16 total). But I recommend LIFX strips over these just because they have a better app features.
I used these brackets from Amazon...

And bought 8x6 boards from home depot.
Less than $100 total for material and took about an hour to layout and install.
Friend has one in his garage. Has a purel dispensr on the wall next to it. And a bottle of bleach/water close by to give it a "flush." The tube is routed outside and into one of his downspout lines.
OP, something I’ve been looking into are solid color canvases. You could go to a hobby lobby and paint canvases the color of your sports teams. For example, one area could have separate navy blue, wine, and gold canvases while another could have emerald green, black, and white. You have plain walls so instead of painting them, put painted items on them so you could rearrange things however you like. Just a thought!

Reread your post, lightening can be an issue. Whenever we run a cable outside (I work for a large retailer) we put lightening arresters. If its under ground, you should be ok, but if you want to be safe…

If you post up your current setup with Brand and Model numbers, I can take a look at it and make suggestions for how to architect the new connection. However, I am very busy today and this weekend with a project at work and may not be extremely responsive.
I recently bought this mini fridge (below), fits 30 cans and 18+ beer bottles, it's huge.
Could easily fit 36 beer bottles, depending on the shelf layout and bottle length.
It's bigger than a mini fridge but not so much. Hope this helps.

Or perhaps you can find a cheap screen lift (or Used) and mount it upside down in the ceiling?
AC Infinity AIRLIFT T16, Shutter Exhaust Fan 16" with Temperature Humidity Controller, EC Motor - Wall Mount Ventilation and Cooling for Sheds, Attics, Workshops https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T9265QZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_JY44C8E866DX6EPHB2C2
Exhaust fan w louvers are nice. If your plan on smoking indoors etc.
The room is 12X20 or 240 sq. ft.. I knew I needed exhaust fans to change out the air in the room several times an hour. I bought two 150CFM fans which would give me 300CFM total....and now, the nerd stuff:
The Air Changes Formula CFM X 60 mins / Volume of room300 X 60/(12' X 20' X 8' ceiling) = 18000/1920 = 9.375
So the two exhaust fans are changing out all the air in the room 9 times and hour. I don't have to close the HVAC vent in the room, and there are no seals around the door. There is enough negative air pressure coming under the door to keep the smoke in the room.To filter out any residual smoke not caught by exhaust fans, I bought 2 RabbitAir air filters. One would've been good...two was probably overkill, but it makes a huge difference when 6 people are puffing at the same time.
So basically after smoking, I leave the door closed and set all fans to shut off after an hour. The RabbitAir and wall switches are Smartthings and Alexa compatible. According to non-smokers, the room doesn't smell like cigar smoke, but it smells like cigar tobacco.

If you know where the RSS feeds are, there is software that I use called Desktop Ticker
I use mine to show me news articles, but there are feeds for sports scores/news/etc. This scrolls across the bottom/top of the screen like a news/stock ticker. It shows me the headline, but if there is an article that looks promising, I can click it and it goes to news report. The font size can be increased to something a little more manageable.
Well, I use the shield function with the open source software Moonlight; I made a side-by-side video of a bullethell shooter in Mame. I also use the system via wireless connection on a laptop and smart TV, and the result is near identical.
Moonlight runs on a RaspberryPI (my Sony TV also can run Moonlight directly- but it won't connect to my controllers). If you have a Nvidia graphics card, it may be worth testing.
That's more for a home theater than what you're after.
thank you for that. I was looking to buy something like this but I have no idea if that's a good idea or not. I want a decent sound for family movies and sports. I am not an audiophiles so I don't nee the best-of-the-best.
Yes, like everyone is saying, you’re tv is too high. But, no one has given you a solution unfortunately. You can get a drop wall mount like this one: Monoprice Above Fireplace Pull Down Mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GSRRIVM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_24BQNAV1X91CPS1V52N0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1.
Incredible! The only thing I see wrong are the wires behind the fireplace TV. This is what I used to hide mine and it looks incredible!

Framed posters are a great way to make a wall look fun and alive without spending too much. Search for stores online, some will have plenty of options in the gaming, sports, and movie categories for less than $10. Frames can be less than $20, for example Amazon has one for just $11.66.

You could try just mounting it by the outlet using a mount like this. . If you want to do something a bit different you could swap out a can light (if you have one) in the room and put an outlet in there and mount the dot into the recessed lighting box it would be completely out of mind.
Thanks, I keep it midway on the temp dial and it does great for keeping beer cool..Could probably hold close to 30 cans and bottles. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F9RNZPB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_D5F2Z32RWX4FP4M29FAA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Love it, may I suggest a cable hidden behind the wall. Here is what I used. I feed an extension cord and hdmi cable from behind the tv down behind the wall and then out and plugge it into the wall. It's so easy to do.
Just found these, they might look clean having 2 of em

So I thought about it. The only thing I would have added is a muffler in the HVAC so reduce noise from going in to the house. Something perhaps like this.

Not even sure how u found this comment but ya. Sump pump is important. Was a lot of work for me to trench out the hole myself and put it in, but it has saved my ass numerous times already, including this week with that hurricane that hit us and dumped a shit load of rain. The pump did its job. The basement got a tiny bit of water in it (can't really be helped on the one side of my basement, with the bilco doors and outer stairwell and all) but the sump pump kept the water level from rising up to the concrete slab.
What I have been dragging my ass on however is a battery backup system. If you are doing the sump pump, might as well look into doing that at the same time. There are essentially 2 options - a watchdog kit (a secondary pump you put in the pit that has a controller that detects when power goes out and a propietary watchdog battery) - which is anywhere from $250-500 depending one what you want. The other option is what I'll be doing, a bit more expensive but in my mind makes more sense - one of these. With a marine battery it's like $800 for peace of mind. A sump pump does you no good with the power being out, which is a threat when weather is bad obviously.
You could technically rely on a backup generator as well, but it better be an automatic one so that your sump pump isn't interrupted.
Bought it on Amazon. I looked for a long time because I didn’t know how else to display those signed index cards without it costing me a a fortune. amazon coffee table
Is it close enough to the house for your WiFi signal? If so by a TCL-Roku Tv and an extension cord. I am recommending the TCL brand from experience.
I bought the cheapest 32” tv I could find on Amazon that had WiFi for my garage (the TCL with Roku I linked above). It is, no shit, my favorite TV in the house because of the Roku interface, and we have four “nice” TVs in the house.
Edit: if you are in a legal state, don’t forget the emerald green!
I would recommend not putting them where sunlight hits them. They do not protect the comics from UV damage.
I know everybody here gave you a hard time about the cable management... get some zip ties and some of these: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008VFBE?keywords=adhesive%20zip%20tie%20mount&qid=1450045130&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3
They would be put along the back edges of your shelves. They hold the zip ties in place, then you run the wires through the loose zip ties and then tighten everything down once it looks good.
Seriously spend some time on cable management and it will be night and day different. Post some "after" pics!
Wireless console remotes will probably work fine. If you need to get standard IR remote command in you need and IR extender/repeater (which is cheap).
Here is one for less than $10
