It all depends on your skin. If you have really sensitive skin, you're not even gonna want to shave, just get a beard trimmer and run that over your face without attachments. Next step up from that is an electric shaver, something that looks similar to this, and use it accordingly. If you're an individual gifted enough to be born with tough skin on your face, you can learn to use a strait razor. I wouldn't be able to help you with that because my skin can't handle it, so I never learned how to do it well.
Obviously, don't use any of this stuff on your - ah - intimate areas unless you know exactly what you're doing. You don't want cuts down where the sun don't shine.
Sorry to hear that you're in pain. Please knoT0w that you're not alone and that there is always someone who cares about you. I've felt a similar feeling sometimes. Is there someone that you can reach out to about your feelings?
These are some things that have helped me personally. I recommend reading this book, preferably with the guidance of a therapist. This book helped me during a dark time. Still reading it.

Keep doing it, you might not see it or know. This guys you go out with might have the same problems you have or other demons. They are using you to get through the week.
I suggest reading the book the problem with pain by CS Lewis. It’s helped me.
Without knowing your budget, maybe cologne. A gadget of some sort. Like, those magnetic charging cables. .
When I was a broke child, I would make my parents a coupon book for Xmas. Things like “good for one back rub” or “give the dog a bath”. It meant the world to them and they redeemed the coupons for years. I should’ve put expiration dates on them. Anyhow, if he loves you, he won’t care what the gift is. Just the amount of thought and effort you put into it. A homemade dinner is good.

I had a Norelco groomer/hair trimmer combo that finally died after 9 years. I just bought this Wahl from Amazon (arriving next week). It was the 2nd most popular. The 1st was 3x the price. For only a 2x a month use for my beard and pubic trim I think the cheaper one will be fine. I also picked out one with a hair attachment so I can continue trimming my hair during the pandemic.
I normally use a trimmer with a guard above my penis, no guard near the base, and a standard 3 blade razor for my balls.

no problem man, not having a dad can leave you really confused with a lot of questions. But it makes you stronger. You're at an age where a boy really needs a father. I would suggest reading the book Real Boys : Rescuing Our Sons from the Myths of Boyhood by William Pollack.
My mom read it to help raise me because my dad wouldn't step up. It covers many if not all the questions you have regarding the topic.
Good luck man, you're still young, don't let your father issues plague you later in life. Deal with it now, come to terms with it, and enjoy life.
