I've switched to Komoot from Google maps. It's more specialised for cycling, and it shows you all the cycle ways/redways in green alongside the roads but also avoids pedestrian only bits.
Super easy to adjust the route a bit too to avoid less maintained bits of redway, or go via nicer stretches, which I found really useful as I got more into it!
They also show you things like speed/time when navigating with the map, give you turn by turn directions that generally work pretty well on cycle paths like the redways, and lets you upload your cycle to Strava if you wanted to track them.
OK fine for pavements but redways are not pavements. Bikes are allowed on them, unlike pavements.
This is probably the best source of information, which looks like MK Council minutes. They suggest that pedal-assisted bikes are fine, but that electric scooters are still a grey area.
I have ridden the redways for close to a decade, and I wouldn't be alarmed to see a suitably limited electric scooter. Pedal assisted bikes are definitely more common the past year or 2.
I use this one with eezycabs on my Android phone:

Lets you book in advance. Add via stops and all sorts. Works for me for using cabs in MK.
I had Joseph from Drive321 and I'd highly recommend! After I passed (first time too) he was talking to me about how good it felt seeing a student pass. This wasn't the only time he showed genuine care and compassion for his students either. I had a very rocky lesson the day after getting some bad personal news and he handled it with respectable care. Great guy, great teacher too.
If you want to have a chat with us, there are a few of us over at MK Make, Milton Keynes hackspace. I'm personally a freelance, specialist broadcast camera engineer.
We are a bit small, but growing in both capabilities and numbers happily.
For anyone else interested in us, our mailing list is the best bet. We care over at Google groups.

We also have a website over at www.mkmakerspace.co.uk
Yeah, I'm in the Milton Keynes area. We've had Gigafast for just over a year now.
We have the 200mbps package at the moment and 9 times out of 10 a speedtest will yield nearly full speed with low pings. The last run, just completed was today which was over wifi.
In the year, we've had one (that we are aware of) drop out. It did last over a day though and I believe it was caused by an update that City Fibre did and it knocked out the older installations.
Same applies to walkers, outside the lights of the town. If your in all darks, your basically invisible until we are on top of you!
Might I recommend something like this as an option? https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08QMMMG21
You don't look like a complete pillock in a full high vis. It also goes over a winter jacket fine, and can be shoved in a pocket without issue.
I've been living here a couple of years and have kind of seen friends move away and not done much this year other than visit family back in Coventry. I used to go to some meetup.com cinema things but they all seemed to fizzle out. I always like searching round for old video games/dvds and stuff. i am also an early 30s guy
