Just use a remote app.
I use Unified Remote, I'm pretty sure the free version let's you use the basic stuff like mouse and text input
I'm pretty sure Unified Remote is available on iOS as well..
I just got a new phone and went to install the best keyboard ever made. Looks like its gone from the Play store.

I know APKs are still out there. But I think this might be a sign: Its time to move on. Anyone ever find an alternative "swipe" keyboard that's accurate AND respects your privacy? I'm pecking on FlorisBoard now like a filthy peasant right now (their "glide" typing sucks).
Thanks for replying.

Hope it turned out well, it's the first logcat I've ever took - I started the command, then went on to quickmemo+ app with google keyboard set as default, opened a blank memo and tried to switch to NIN. Then I tried opening a new memo with NIN now set as default; in both cases the keyboard didn't show up (as described before)
I took a quick look and if I'm not wrong I'm seeing nintype crashing, but I don't have a clue why.
I think it was a problem with the app I was using. I tried it from Signal Private Messenger. I just tried it from Gmail and it worked.
Thank you so much for the quick response and the video was really helpful.
Oh, so you use Android? Thought you had an iDevice :). But honestly, AMOLED isn’t that bad right now. I looked at am S4, and it looks like there’s no problem with its display even at the lowest brightness. Apple really needs to jump over. How I crave that display… I wish there were third-party AMOLED displays for the iPhone :) unfortunately, I think apple is focusing on the force-touch thing more :/.
How are you lowering the brightness below what you can normally lower it to? Why don’t you use this?

It works really well, I’m not kidding. Try it out.
