you have the right idea bud magnetic matt for your next project
iFixit's Elecrronics Essential Toolkit is great. The only thing they don't have is the iPhone standoff screwdriver bit. But that shouldn't matter to you since that's only used on the iPhone Motherboards/Logic Boards.
It includes: - Metal Pry Tool - Spudger - Screwdriver - 16x Screwdriver Bits - Suction Cup - 6x Guitar Pick Prying "thingamajigs" - Angled Tweezers - Plastic Pry Tool
And it comes with a lifetime warranty.
Not sure if these would be too big for that
Here you go man. This one already has a prox and home button so you dont have to move yours over.
Maybe ghost a screen so you can see and have functionality- then if your cloud storage is full get something like this
Its a Lightning to USB adapter and you can backup to a usb..
If it’s android and it powers up you should be able to simply plug it into a pc and find them on the internal storage, usually in a folder called “DCIM”, if you’re using a Mac you will need an application (from the internet not the App Store) called android file transfer (linked). Most dumb phones work pretty much the same way but the incredibly old ones can be really finicky.
This post is kind of old but I solved a similar issue using iMazing (https://imazing.com), My steps:
Of course, data is gone but the phone is back. 😊
It's a little small for tablets but here's the one I use. https://www.amazon.com/Microcomputer-Electric-Heating-Preheating-Soldering/dp/B07K23WY4J/
Can you post a picture of it?
Removing the glass that covers the cameras is SUPER easy and on the s21 ultra each camera has it's own removable glass lens.
You should just need this
Anyone used anything like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077RQBJ57?pf_rd_r=FDBZ0BBFKGMMZ3578ZNM&pf_rd_p=5ae2c7f8-e0c6-4f35-9071-dc3240e894a8&pd_rd_r=ade1a64f-dbff-463c-b386-9cb0f69190fa&pd_rd_w=wjd6x&pd_rd_wg=XK1at&ref_=pd_gw_unk for trying to repair a scratch. These seem fairly deep.
The kit I use is this one on amazon. I have done only iphones atm but its got everything
Plug in usb c to phone hdmi to monitor/tv and plug mouse into usb of adapter 👍
I won't lie... Cheap Amazon Prime accessible tape. The two names are as follows;
2mm Clear Double Sided Strong Adhesive Acrylic Tape For Phone LCD Screen Repair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019OQ4Z10?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Eco-Fused Adhesive Sticker Tape for Use in Cell Phone Repair - 2mm Tape - also including 1 Pair of Tweezers / Eco-Fused Microfiber Cleaning Cloth (black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BXYWXY8?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I know they're cheap, but how much should I spend/what should I search for when I purchase? Computers are my hobby, but I work in kitchens and bake bread full time... Soooo, I'm pretty good with my hands. Application is not the issue here.
6.4" For MOTO Z4 XT1980 XT1980-4 XT1980-3 LCD Display Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement Part https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089KQSPB2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xeSsFb6ZPACJ6
Replacement is not hard if you follow a YouTube guide and have the correct screwdriver which they usually send with the screen.
Also a really useful tool for more than just this subject...

You can see the current and voltage, and you can observe the negotiation for the voltage.
Sure, I'm not sure exactly what brand i have as i bought them probably 10+ years ago but the ones below i found on amazon with a quick search. There are many different brands of these, just find ones that are small enough and are made well as the cheap alibaba ones tend to dull very quickly or even break off and compound your problems.
I'm gonna assume it's the s8 because the s9 screen doesn't have two holes in the top right. If you were to repair it yourself, you'd get a kit on amazon that comes with your screen replacement and the screws necessary for 15 pounds, so probably about 20 dollars. The s series is a pain to fix though because of the curved screen so I'd look over a few repair methods on YouTube first.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07334SMBB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VKMnFbJ58EK95 here's the screen I found on amazon, if you scroll down a bit it'll give you a step by step on how to do it.
Try to get a motorola flip phone original/compatible charger on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Mpkke-Charger-Verizon-Motorola-VU204/dp/B07SNF4Z77
Alternatively install motorola driver on your PC, try charging it via your PC.
I had the similar problem as the I got a motorola phone cannot be charged via the any standard microusb charger but I can charge it via PC
BTW CDMA is going to die soon for verizon in December 2020 and it cannot be activated anymore as it is a CDMA only handset.
Also sprint stop accepting new CDMA handset activation.
You can get a special HDMI cable for the S4 It'll function as the screen. The digitizer on your phone will still control what you see. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-S4-Smartphone-Micro-USB-MHL-enabled/dp/9966685472
