I made a hanging potted plant, and used this tutorial as a guide. Im pretty sure it would relatively the same thing however this way uses multiple strands of rope, but it was really easy to do. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-hanging-potted-plant-rope-holder-ki/ Hope this helps
Something like this and any standard USB-driven battery pack thing: https://www.amazon.com/Super-Power-Supply-Android-eReader/dp/B00ROA3GB4
This type of plug is called "barrel jack" to just find a usb -> barrel jack cord that fits Edit: Related amazon link
you can get a decent pair for $30 from emazing lights or amazon, though currently they are sold out since they are fairly cheap in price but are not too shabby, no need to fork out $100+ just to see if you like led poi
Opencamera is great for manual settings on an android device.
If you want to shoot raw, then Lightroom is decent (but users are unhappy with Adobe creative suite as the larger suite i.e. Photoshop is now subscription only and not own able outright)
If you have never done low light or long exposure and want some troubleshooting with settings etc, feel free to pm me.
I added extra weight to my pod poi and it's made them much more balanced and enjoyable to spin with. I have knob handles like these that I added a few washers onto so they'd have a nice weight. I also added these weights by cutting some of the length off and putting them inside the silicone pod so the heads would be heavier. They are much easier to stall and toss now. Hope this helps :)
Checkout the Vulcan Tech Gospel app (VTG). There's a lot of stuff you'll like within this app that could also stimulate your creativity!

Question. Are you able to use cr3032 batteries? I don't know anything about those lights specifically, but since i started with the original flowtoys flowlight which ate batteries, this caught my attention. I found this, if those are compatible? Best of luck https://www.amazon.com/CT-ENERGY-Lithium-Battery-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B07L933KGQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?adgrpid=54749873183&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_4-SBhCgARIsAAlegrXMytHsTOlQag-7Ug88YqSIqDiCTbr-XbDh0Hd-EE1XvkwC1QhqJ1AaArceEALw_wcB&hvadid=4100206...
If she wants to be able to control shutter speed etc, apps do exist for that.
both in cheap paid apps and free apps
Make sure the rope is strong enough not to break, you don't want whatever is being housed to go flying mid spin... 550 Para-cord should do the trick...
As for the actual net... Square knots... Or if you want to get really creative, try to get instructions on Japanese glass floats netting.... real pretty looking like.... http://www.ehow.com/how_10036179_make-net-japanese-float.html
I've watch this video by drex many many times to understand the fundamentals of how air wraps and tangles actually work instead of just learning the motions and being able to do it without thinking about it. Once I studied how it actually works it makes hyperloops way easier for me. Left hand on the outside, right hand on the inside, orange ball comes up and wraps half a loop like an airplane propeller on the outside, then orange ball comes into the inside for half a loop and exits because you switch your right hand to the outside now(further out infront of you then the left hand). Same concept for hypserloops you are just turning and bringing the whole thing across your chest. If you understand how wraps/tangles work I don't think you will have a problem exiting them anymore. I've probably watched that video 100x studying the mechanics of it and why wraps work the way they do. This guy does a cool tutorial on hyperloops and even throws extra beats in there so he goes left, center, left center, right, center, right, out. I think as far as the small amount of use is a combination of a lot of people just aren't into tangles and spend enough time with them past learning how to get to orbitals and they are something you learn in the beginning and beginning tricks always get left behind.
I use Processing for all my creative coding. You should check it out, they have a python version as well. https://processing.org/
For the sketch I shared I actually used the now obsolete processing.js (Java compiled to JavaScript) version. It still works though!
I have heard of Jupyter, will have another look maybe one day.
So for the project I shared I checked and I am using the basically the same single poi circle algorithm as the first example in the link you shared. I wonder what would happen if I replace that with some of the others?
oddly the one I bought was "Currently unavailable", but it's like this one, same brand etc just shorter.
Also the only issue is data transfer so to update the OS you'd need a more expensive one or swap with another cable, they're basically all the same and I did get more apple connectors than I ordered but they quickly recified it sending me loads of micro usb heads instead so eh lol.
Otherwise just search magnetic 360 charger and you should find something good!
Hell yeah man! 🤙 Idk how ur handles are set up but u can get ultra knobs on amazon and just swap them out, I was thinking of doing that for a min with my fire poi, but I figure it's probably better to learn contact poi before I go all in with fire lol. That and they were a little more than I wanna spend on them but I dont have a great reference for nice led props I usually lean towards fire stuff Here's the link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0749667D9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1N9SW3NMDEQMQPR7DT1Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The game is called CatchE and you can download it from the Google Play Store here!
The game lets you do flips and throws. A simulation shows you what to do before every level. The score is based on how close your move is compared with the simulation.
Please be careful when playing with your cellphone. Make sure that you do not put yourself and others at risk. Also, we recommend that you play above a soft surface as to not damage the phone. It's a great game to play outside at the park.
There are some bugs left in the game, so we would really like to have your help and point them out to us. Tell us what you like and don't like about the game.
If you like the game, please mention it to a friend, leave a good review or share it online.
I hope you have fun throwing your phone around!
I got these sock poi and they been personally amazing to use so far. You just need to fill them yourself, but other than that they been great.
Socks and a couple of tennis balls are great for practicing! But this LED set is only $20 and has held up great so far. They're lighter than the tennis balls, but much softer as well LED Poi Ball Swirling Light Rave Toy (Set of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O2DMBJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_NbmZc8Zs9URZf
It's hard without a fid but doable. Fids are cheap on Amazon though: WELLINGTON CORDAGE S6034 Splicing Fid, 3-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000R2POFW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ZVaxxbYDKVRHC
But yeah in short you pull one end of the technora through a split ring, quick link, or through the poi head ring itself, then push the rope into itself quite a ways (the entire length if you really want to be safe, but like 8" or so works for me). Friction holds it all together. Definitely YouTube a tutorial as Drex mentioned.
Your best bet would probably be some el wore I don't know that much about using it, so I don't know if certain brands are better than others or what not but here's what I found on Amazon with a quick search.

My wonderful girlfriend got it for me! I believe it's something like this http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Crystal-Magic-Effect-Lighting/dp/B00857DO62/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1394385039&sr=8-2&keywords=dmx+light
Just to clear this up. There is a trick in poi called an orbital which looks super amazing with LEDs. There is also an LED toy that is called an Orbital which you linked to a video of.
Tough to beat a pair of in ear BOSE, I've been a professional acrobat my whole life and swear by them. I've done everything wearing these. As a huge plus, maybe for you too, every time they die (4x in 7 years with daily taxing usage and often wet) I get a new pair for 30 dollars at the Bose store to 'upgrade' my busted set for the newest model. No receipt, no warranty needed, nothing. Amazing service based on my usage and top notch sound.
I have a M.U.L.E. 100 oz hydration pack. It has the largest carrying capacity and also carries the most water. You may want to look for something slightly smaller since you're planning to spin while wearing it; even so, my camelback is easier to wear while spinning than a normal Jansport backpack (which is what I used to use).
