i just used this---as Mister_Paradise pointed out---after splitting the og, then saved the images to a folder/took them into imageready/mucked about[ended up taking out half the frames]/save gif, voila
Well it's OP's image I suggest you ask for permission first. The style transfer site (I used) is https://dreamscopeapp.com/ (limited resolution) Ask in r/deepdream for a HD version. I'm sure you can find a service to get it printed. I know I've seen a service that does the style transfer and prints them for you but I imagine it's cheaper to go to a generic printing service.
I'm tired soz for incoherent reply
The original image (I didn't make it): http://i.imgur.com/6dQoSLR.jpg
(It's a rather subtle render, but look close at it's head in the post image)
I used the https://dreamscopeapp.com website
Used filters on the krokodil: Facelift and Art Deco several times
▼
does the best job, but monetized it so free images are 500px and take like 12 hours to make. Large images are rather pricey.
this is one of the better free ones, that also works in a couple minutes and has pc or apps
Edit: If you don't wanna create an account just to test it out cause maybe you're a lazy fuck just like me you csn just use bugmenot I guess. Found one account with the name bugmenot and password bugmenot, seems to work!
Hey! I'm the founder of a company that allows you to reimagine your artwork using artificial intelligence. I ran this through one of our filters and here's what came out. Pretty cool :)
I'll admit they are some cool looking images. Might even use one as a background at some point.
That said. I don't know if I'd really call it "amazing digital artwork". It looks like he just put some SpaceX images into an art filter(not sure which one).
In 5 minutes I took the same pad abort photo he used and put it into https://dreamscopeapp.com/create and used the Mirage filter to make this.
try this https://dreamscopeapp.com
or this http://deepdream.akkez.ru/upload
or one of the other links listed here https://www.reddit.com/r/deepdream/comments/3cawxb/what_are_deepdream_images_how_do_i_make_my_own/
I don't even think that, I just googled "painting filter" and got a website that lets you upload any image and select any kind of art style to change the image to.
I think it's indeed more like a classic Photoshop filter trick than the more impressive recent apps that use some deep dream style algorithms. It doesn't seem to detect any more complex patterns or follow areas with similar colors, etc.
It's more than a ref photo, it is literally 1:1, every single line is there. They just tossed it into a filter. Here's a site, you can do it to any photo in any style.
Its made using Google's Deep Dream software. From what I understand it tries to identify objects within an image. The best way I've seen it described is it's like how humans can see shapes in clouds... but for computers.
So, after taking a look at this image in a lower resolution:
https://dreamscope-prod-v1.s3.amazonaws.com/images/16f02b2c-4a95-4626-95f6-bec98ddc7fef.jpeg
It looks like the original image was actually photoshopped to have the same guy's face repeated. I blew up the image and smoothed it with one pass through the neural network (a really hacky approximation of a super resolution neural network) and it looks like that is the case. For example, you can see the guy at the far left's face is far too big to be his actual head (because it's copy and pasted on).
https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/40331
Moral of the story? Never trust a deep dream without its original!
If anybody wants to try to make stuff like this on your own without buying a $1,000 GPU, you can try out Dreamscope. It's not possible to do this with apps like Prisma because they don't offer custom filters.
We have unlimited free image creations as well as a monthly subscription for unlimited high resolution image creations.
Here's a portrait of Tony Stark using this same style: https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/3qUGuEjsS4
To make your own just go here: https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor
Looks like the OP might have used the 'charcoal' filter over at the dreamscopeapp service. I haven't figured out charcoal precisely yet (its undocumented), but in addition to converting to monochrome, it appears to involve maybe 1 octave of 3a/3x3.
I don't even think that, I just googled "painting filter" and got a website that lets you upload any image and select any kind of art style to change the image to.
use Dreamscope, enter the picture you wanna use, then you'll have to chose a filter, you can use a custom one, use this one. Wait for it to be ready (can take quite some time) and voila
I made this portrait using Dreamscope, which employs a deep learning algorithm to transfer the style of a painting onto the content of an image. I used the "Teal Ninja" filter here on top of a colorized photo.
An image processing system that uses the Google AI to take an image and apply the style of another image to it. If you remember the AI dreaming pictures from several months ago (the ones that kept generating dog faces) it's sort of an evolution of that.

It somehow looks sadder and more majestic. It also almost seems like the armor is melting away, as if they were going to disappear....
I honestly don't know how? I use https://dreamscopeapp.com/ with a little bit of extra processing, and the app seems to spit out images that are smaller. I'm also not sure how to scale it up and keep the texture?
If anyone knows how, I'd love to hear it...
Those images were created with the website dreamscope. After messing around a bit with it today, I found that calligraphy pictures produced an interesting result. So I quickly wrote a few words and tried to apply a relevant effect to them. Unfortunately the quality is not really good, and I know my calligraphy isn't the best.
Anyway, let me know what you think about this, and don't hesitate to try it for yourself !
Had the same thought and did it with dreamscopeapp.
http://i.imgur.com/OqWTyvy.jpg
Not that impressive maybe, that website also converted it in within 15 seconds. Here is the same with an another filter: https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/WCc_LF7JQF
I used this website with the 'Salvia' and 'Art Deco' presets -- I'm sorry I can't provide more detailed information!
I really love how DeepDream exaggerates the appearance of motion; the combination of twists, curls, and blurs culminates into a grand illusion of movement. The images almost appear liquified with their distorted ripples and dripping lines. I also admire how the trees smear together into a single writhing mass. Though I prefer the smaller images for their lack of detail and smooth appearance, I included some larger ones, too. Sadly, the application I used limits the final size, so if you're looking for a wallpaper, you'll have to ask someone else! :)
Deep dream was releeased by google. It looks trippy and has many, possibiltites as you add your own inages for it to itterate from... Go here, https://dreamscopeapp.com/ , and then if you still want to see some more art, hopefully my sub will pick up soon... /r/deepdreamart
Been a lot of content floating around since the GoogleDream photo filter has come out. Got bored and did a few KSP photo's I have saved over time. PS Thanks to all the true artists of these Original Pics.
I used GoogleScopeApp
Some don't look much different, but simply add some "flair" to them. to do these. More info on how to and various websites can be found in this Reddit thread. Some turned out pretty cool, others kinda creepy. But I thought it was neat. Hope you enjoy.
PS all original photos are included for context. Some don't look much different, but simply add some "flair" to them.
Edit: apparently Imgur and I are not getting along this morning, and the pictures appear to be out of order, including a picture that isn't even supposed to be there. Sorry for that.
I use this https://dreamscopeapp.com/
It's not so bloated as other sites (no waiting times) and it has multiple styles.
To change the layers you need to tweak the iterations, octaves (you can find a lot of details about that in the stickied thread) and be wary of what database you're "burning" into the computer - as you can see most of these stuff have dogslugs and birds because that's what google has fed into the system. But the program is adaptable, and if you can find another database (there was a thread around showcasing such things) or even make your OWN (you need several thousand pictures first tho) you should be fine.
Die Seite mit der ich es mache, gibt mir neben Helligkeit & Kontrast keine Optionen, mit dennen man es wirklich besser machen kann, ohne das zu viele details aus den Original Bildern zu sehen sind.
Awesome! I tried to mix a few of the images with images of medieval maps using the deep learning dreamscope app https://dreamscopeapp.com They look quite nice, here are the results: http://imgur.com/a/ZeDFY
Dude, just run her through Dreamscope (https://dreamscopeapp.com), make sure to set it to private, and then use the "Stark" filter for the same results. I would recommend that you set it to private unless you want others seeing it.
Whoa! LOVING the current settings. Just dreamed this cat and cannot believe the results. Excellent blend of "painting" with "detail". @Bellamoid Have you used it in the past day and how do you like the results?
If you want to deepdream any of your clop go here or here, both queues are near instant: https://dreamdeeply.com/ https://dreamscopeapp.com/
also there are other filters: https://dreamdeeply.com/result/ccnmeott62lvERxCCjuaqsPn
I use a simple website called https://dreamscopeapp.com - it is superfast (a couple seconds for a small pic, maybe 20 seconds for a large pic, it has around 15 preset filters that you can use. If you hit something nice then you can download it, alternatively you can upload the new pic you made and apply the same filter as before, in effect doing 2 or more runs with the same filter. PLay around, and it's worthwhile to make a free account so you can have hd quality (no spammy emails or anything). Goodluck!
Heya - I saw https://dreamscopeapp.com/ which is faster - takes about 30s from upload (my fave filter is the Self Transforming Machine Elves, but there are others). I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it all looked pretty Lovecraftian!
> This wonderful website. Uploade a photo, choose trippy, wait a few seconds and it'll make it.
Oh yeah, keep in mind that since it has been trained with lots of dog pictures, it will most likely make some parts of the pictures... dogs.
This site does them reasonably quickly, depending on the queue. Note: the email option doesn't work for me, so save the link and check it later. http://deepdream.akkez.ru/
This site does them practically instantly, but the quality is not so great. I suspect that it uses filters rather than the real "AI", but I don't understand the process well enough. https://dreamscopeapp.com/
This is absolutely fantastic! After the creepy gif someone had made a few days back using DeepDream, I have been hoping something simple like this existed :D
Thank you!
Edit: https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/9788 I have a new Facebook profile pic :D
Anyone wondering how to do dis
This fantastic website that can do more than spaghett
Here's a template of raw spaghett and add whatever picture u want
Tbh too much work, just search because most anime girls are already spaghett by now
I'm calling BS. There's a tool that makes photos look like someone painted them. If they actually did this, it wouldn't be so picture-perfect. Here's the tool, if anyone's wondering: https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor
wow... This looks so much like the animal faces that Deep Dream finds in images.
Let's see what we get...
https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/RHVIGOY7Tv
Ok, so it kinda missed the actual face, but it made a cute little pomeranian with a lion cut out of that thing in the lower left. XD
Yes I used this website: https://dreamscopeapp.com/ For better quality I actually broke the picture up into 3 sections and ran each section through the program and then combined the outputs together.
Awesome! I tried to mix a few of the images with images of medieval maps using the deep learning dreamscope app https://dreamscopeapp.com They look quite nice, here are the results: http://imgur.com/a/ZeDFY
I'll be curious to see if the industry takes a hit once machine-learning systems can start generating these songs.
We're already getting pretty close with art, so it seems that music should be the next one to fall.
It's still tricky generating proper human speech, but if you constrain lyrics to the lowest common denominator "baby", "I love you", etc. type of stuff, you might be able to start getting somewhere.
But even generated music that doesn't have lyrics is still pretty weak. It'd be interesting to see how well applying the "styles" concept of Dreamscope et al to combine two songs would work.
Some guy painted this exact same wave in Japan a few years back
https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/d6S_mqtGTd
and here's a mountain that looks just like it!
Oh it's definitely a good medium to get into, considering it's an early google prodigy of machine learning (a cool little thing which gets machines to learn to do people stuff, and better than people stuff- therefore the obsoleteness of the working human in our modern day society). Here's an album showing the cool ways you can incorporate your drawings into the medium of other image files (preferably png- rarely settle for that jpeg nonsense). http://imgur.com/a/RFYLj
I kinda used this website to do it, I don't know any better solutions currently at this moment but I wish you the best. Overall, technology is rapidly advancing and it's comforting to know we're still able to use the latest in programmable modern miracles to create a heck of a lot of cool to look at pictures.
It's super simple. I could never figure out the actual way of doing it on my PC (with the virtual machine and what not), but the websites that do it for you have gone much better since the release. They used to be very slow, limited by size, dimensions, etc.
The one I use is https://dreamscopeapp.com/ - you can apply one of many pre-selected patterns, but you can also upload any kind of image to use as a pattern.
I can't remember which I used for this. I just googled deep dream. This is the first time I've done one in a while. I think the website I used to use was called dreamscope or something.
Edit: yeah it was dreamscope I used to use. I did another of OP's picture using that site.
It's a GIGO problem with the AI starting set, unfortunately. But it's still learning now with fewer dogs as a percentage of the total.
You can also use filters for it now to be less trippy, but still nightmarish. Other filters will make artistic versions of the same image.
Hey, thanks! I used https://dreamscopeapp.com/, which has a bunch of different filters. It's pretty interesting to play around with passing an image through first one filter and then another. If you don't like dogslugs - stay away from 'trippy'. I hope you enjoy!
If you want to deepdream any of your yiff go here or here, both queues are near instant: https://dreamdeeply.com/ https://dreamscopeapp.com/
also there are other filters: https://dreamdeeply.com/result/pxa2lN5iLTCr0NwJq4fhZzPq
If you do it that way, and actually achieve it, you can get great results in theory. I don't know if OP used a setup like that or if he used an online service to render the frames, maybe he will explain. For non-coders like myself the best option is to go to dreamscope. It has some ok filters and it's rather quick (no waiting times). It's a great place to start, and it's fun to explore and discover.
Ninja edit: no question is stupid, only some of the answers are.
I use a simple website called https://dreamscopeapp.com - it is superfast (a couple seconds for a small pic, maybe 20 seconds for a large pic, it has around 15 preset filters that you can use. I always find that the best ones are produced by running an image through a filter, saving it, running it through a second filter, and so on and so forth. Every few 'generations' I'll use 'facelift' or 'salvia' to kind of clean up the fuzzy edges. After enough generations and enough filters you get some REALLY nice looking images!
Funny. I posted a picture of me and my motorcycle deep dreamed and spent a lot of time including links and instructions on how to DIY such as how many layers/ times to deep dream a picture, sources, examples etc... and I got immediate downvotes and bashing. Rideit, you are so fucking fickle.
Great shot though. I reccomend passing that picture though a few more layers of deep dream.
So, you did go into the BIOS and make sure virtualization is enabled, right?
Maybe you should try vagrant destroy again, then open up virtual box and delete any boxes left behind, then try vagrant up again.
If all else fails, I found a pretty great site to do the dreaming for you. I don't know how they do it, but it only takes about 15 seconds for it to process an image, and they have several different models as well.
I googled how to, and just got confused. LoL so Reddit to the rescue. Looks to have a few sites that will do it for you, but that apparently takes sometime. It would appear you need some level of programming and software savvy to get this to run on your own PC. Hope it helps.
Edit: Here is a very simple WebApp with selective filters that is quick and easy DreamScope from the forementioned thread.
Yeah I'm way into the Cyclops, Kitty Pryde and Gambit images but the Colossus one is cool! I stole the photos but I used Dream Scope to create them. Really cool websites that allows a lot of different designs!
You can make your own here: https://dreamscopeapp.com/
Just put this through.
I find it interesting how these things look exactly as how I've heard people describe the DMT flash. Life is a fractal.
Given its not my image, I'm not quite comfortable with that... though I'd love to have a high res desktop version.
I'm just using https://dreamscopeapp.com/, but it seems to downsize all the images... would anyone know how to achieve the same 'scale' of texture on something higher resolution?
Hey Everyone, You are going to see these everywhere pretty soon, so I thought I would be the first to share the link. The new google photo search tool that they realized turned images into trippy collages when they told it to enhance the object you are looking for is now available for anyone to use. I am posting this as a Discussion, not art. https://dreamscopeapp.com/i https://github.com/google/deepdream
it doesn't look like it uses DeepDream and it doesn't provide any details on the website. still the software is pretty neat.
Oh maybe it does but it cheats by not running it very long or with very much data.
The trippy filter looks more like typical deepdreams except it just seems to add a bunch of eyes
Dream scope app is basically the same thing. i like to use both. You can use your own images as filters. You put your picture in, then choose another picture as filter. Then Ai generates image for you. I use dream scope app often, for layers in digital collages. Both are super fun programs! https://dreamscopeapp.com/
I am not trying to trick people it is just a filter. I know it’s not renaissance style 100 percent but this just looks good and I like it. This is what I used https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor. Also thanks for the awards!
Made with Dreamscope, using this image (from my favorite artist, Julian Faylona) as a custom filter.
The first image was made by using concept art of the Maykrs as a custom filter, for the second one I used this image, from my favorite artist Julian Faylona.
Both images were made using Dreamscope.
To clarify, I did not draw this.
I used Icon of Sin concept art and applied a custom filter over it using Dreamscope, a free online AI tool.
I did not draw these.
I used Icon of Sin concept art as base images and applied a custom filter over it through Dreamscope, a free online AI.
TO CLARIFY, I DID NOT DRAW THIS
I used the concept art of the Icon as a base image and applied a custom filter to it using Dreamscope, a free online AI. All I did was wait overnight while it processed.
The custom filter was this artwork.
This image itself isn't an actual map, but an AI-generated image created by imposing a custom filter (in this case the map of classic level E2M5) over a base image (the Slayer helmet)
Anyone can do it at the Dreamscope site, but do keep in mind it takes a few hours to process.
I needed pointing in this direction :-
https://dreamscopeapp.com/deep-dream-generator
Used pixaloop to give the base image a little turbulence
After that, it's just blending layers. I've found using coloured edges then using a chroma to take out the black works nicely. Not as refined as the example yet, but getting there.
I'm not a professional artist or anything but I figured out how to do this:
1) Get a bunch of your favorite photos
2) filter them using Dreamscope or Instapainting
3) Paint over them in Photoshop, sampling each color with the eyedropper and using the wet brush tool.
You may find your painting looks fine as-is after using the filter, but if you don't have a premium plan I think they look a little low-quality and AI-generated (which they are.) Often the edges aren't as sharp as they should be.
However the important thing is that the colors and composition and contrast look good, then you can go over it easily and make it look more traditional in Photoshop. I'm sure this would work with any half-decent art program because it's just a wet brush on a new layer.
Hi community!
I am experimenting on taking deepstyle to game development asset creation, my own goal is to have rough sketches and basically render appropiate filters on top of them to create nice patterns and cohesiveness. Obviously there is quite a lot to learn but I will try to post my progress here as well.
This example was made with https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor but I finally put up my own environment for https://github.com/cysmith/neural-style-tf and is going to do quite a lot of work to get a nice game asset pipeline going :)
And this is the game we are working on and will see if I can bend all of my textures to something that still is artsy. https://gamejolt.com/games/source-of-madness/362485
I would appreciate any tips and gotchas as possible.
"Oh and by the way, you can do stuff like that with this. Have fun!
edit: Stupid me, you might want the spaghetti too. (I forgot where I got this from, so I just uploaded it to imgur)"
You too can have a painting of yourself on your phone, just get a photo to painting converter app.
e.g. https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor
Other conversion apps are available. Results may vary. People may laugh at you.
> Thx, didn't know Adam could be as good as lbfgs. Does it need specific param tweaking depending on the specific input, or you've found a set that always performs best?
Other users have reported that my suggested parameters work well for a variety of input images, and my own testing shows that my parameteres work well with even more input images than the default parameters. In fact, my issues with some types of style images, are what drove me to conduct research on how Adam effects style transfer.
> it's a recent one, so i don't think the toned down it... and I agree with you, it completely SUCKS.
I guess the recent examples that I was looking at, just had poor facial feature detection then.
Thx, didn't know Adam could be as good as lbfgs. Does it need specific param tweaking depending on the specific input, or you've found a set that always performs best?
I've browsed dreamscope and found one example of what you say:
https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/7jwJhMsxTR
it's a recent one, so i don't think the toned down it... and I agree with you, it completely SUCKS.
Thanks, is there any way to queue up a large number of images to do the desaturation quickly, or would I have to do each one manually?
For "Deep Dreaming" the only method I know for the results I want takes a long time for each image. Here are the two sites where I've generated individual images, but I need to find some way to string together a few thousand if I wanted to make even a short video. :P
She's beautiful. :)
I bet you'd like Lunapic. Check out the Art tab, make all your bunny pics look like Picasso, Kandinsky, Van Gogh, and Kahlo paintings. Or Dreamscope if you want more detail. :)
Neural networks have seen a lot of success in visual processing tasks over the last few years, but researchers have historically not had good tools for understanding what is going on under the hood. A few years ago (I think 2015), a group from Google released a paper detailing a method for visualizing how different layers respond to a particular image. The output of this process is what is commonly referred to as "DeepDream". DeepDream images are generated by passing an image into a pre-trained network, and honing in on particular layers to produce psychedelic transformations. Using a general purpose image classification network like VGG and honing in on high layers often results in"dog slug" artifacts.
Soon after, researchers discovered a way of using neural networks to decompose an image into a content component and a style component. This allowed them to combine the style of one image with the content of another (e.g. combining a photo of yourself with the style of your favorite van gogh painting). This process is called "style transfer" and was popularized publicly by mobile apps like DreamScope.
There are now other tools for introspecting neural networks and other techniques for accomplishing style-transfer (e.g. CycleGAN, which learns the "style" from a corpus of images rather than from a specific image), but this should at least give you the gist of the difference between "neural dreaming" and "style transfer"
A Discord server I mod sometimes has contests to see who can make the best combined album cover. The covers were made with websites that use neural networks to merge images. We used https://deepart.io/ and https://dreamscopeapp.com/. The former has a watermark, but is a lot faster (Dreamscope can take several hours). I think they're really cool and it's fascinating how the AI interprets the images and combines them.
You are right! I should of made the title better... It actually isn't quite an overlay, but a computer generated image combining the two pieces together. I used this website: https://dreamscopeapp.com/
https://dreamscopeapp.com/i/Not_f28WQF
tried it myself with the first thick-stroke filter. there are many ways to create an image like this, I just picked the easiest one.
If you're using the website, you can choose a custom style image as follows:
1.) Visit this page. 2.) Select an image to upload from your computer. 3.) When the editor pops up, click the "Choose your own" filter (the left most filter option)
For the paid version, the resolution is currently limited to 1024x1024 (or rather a total of 1024*1024 = 1048576 pixels -- if your image is super wide and not that tall, that will still work).
I guess I'm going to be getting a lot of questions about this. I trained a neural network that recognizes images. The network then looks at the picture of the pupper and the Van Gogh and then "re-paint" a new picture with the stylistic aspects of the Van Gogh painting (in this case starry night).
Myself, along with a fellow redditor /u/mippie_moe, made an app so that others can send photos to this A.I. called Dreamscope: https://dreamscopeapp.com.
I do it all on web-based sites vice apps on my iPad. Dreamscope has much better quality output, but Deep Dream Generator gives you control over the style size and weight and lets you keep the color of the original photo if you want.
I don't know if it was made there, but it at least seems like this could have been made using dreamscope. Definitely still a pretty rough site overall but pretty easy to use and you can get very good results.
https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor
This website is similar to what OP has here, but less in-depth. You can take your MS paint map and you can "merge" it with a more detailed satalite image, and it should give you something ok.
I haven't actually tested it with a map yet because it takes SIGNIFICANTLY longer than the stated five minutes, but this is a picture of Gabe Newell that i merged with the Pillar of Creation, and it turned out pretty good.
Edit: Actually, my first attempt at a map with this website came out kind of... weird. It might have been a bug because the satellite image i used was a .jpg and it didn't seem very happy about it, so im trying again with a .png.
I scanned the responses here and didn't see this listed...

I spent a full day farting around with every different online source and found this one to be by far the best i.m.h.o.
No questions, Just wanted to say you guys are the best - Have really made my intro into the motorcycle world the best.
Also I wanted to remind you that this exists. You're welcome.
You can just re-apply filters again and again on https://dreamscopeapp.com. Just keep clicking "Apply" and when you're happy ,"Post".
For example, here's one that I applied the "trippy" filter to a few times:
There are a bunch of other ones to use but the one that makes the dog faces and other strange things is the 'Trippy' filter. For best results, run the image through it a few times.
I considered doing these for NMS, you beat me to the punch. For anyone else interested, the best/easiest way that I've found to use the deep dream software is dreamscopeapp. It's a lot of fun

What is deepdreamr? By work you mean that you made a subreddit, a twitter and a facebook page?
Edit: and a website to provess the images... Which incidentally I signed up for, but could not get the image,to,process,in the time I was hoping. i have been using https://dreamscopeapp.com and it has done me good. I posted some clarifications about the rules.
This is with https://dreamscopeapp.com/ i signed up for an account which offers higher resolution images, and I tend to use,art deco thw most. Wht I will often do is overlay a,very heavy art deco on top of the original with some transpanrency to blend to details of both images. Of something to that effect. This one was pur art deco 3 itterations in.
