Canadian here, can confirm this will meet RedLetterMedias CanCon for at least 5 years.
Jim and Colin left out the best part about the movie, the rocking intro song by Ian Thomas (Dave Thomas' Brother)
They also forgot about the McKenzie Brother action figures put out my McFarlane Toys. The toys came complete with stubby and longneck beer bottles, beer coolers, camping stoves, cases of beer, donuts and back bacon. When you bought them both, the stage clicked together and you got a full diorama of The Great White North set. They also talked and said phrases from the show.
The animated series sucked and was clearly a nostalgia cash grab. Rick Moranis didn't come back for it (because of his retirement from acting) and Dave Coulier stepped in. As I said, it sucked.
Pre-retirement Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas did voice the Moose characters in Disneys Brother Bear in full McKenzie gimmick.
Yeah, I was a McKenzie Brother fan when I was a kid.
I think it was racist when they called the Chinese company that made video tapes on how to use the internet and Rich yelled at them in fake Chinese. Also I think the race and gender of movie reviewers does make a difference. I wish one of them would read Reel Inequality by Dr. Yuen to get an idea of how racist ever aspect of Hollywood filmmaking is.
Also sort by controversial to see which opinions are unpopular.
I think its just Mike, Jay, and Rich that work on RLM full-time. Between $11,000/month from Patreon donations and however much they make from youtube ads, they make enough to get by. And they sell random merchandise and DVDs. Rich and Jack also bring in money from Pre-Rec, not sure if they share that with Mike and Jay or if its even a sizable amount of money.
Someone hasn't seen Troll Hunter...
Seriously though, found footage movies CAN be great. It's super cheap and easy to make one though, so they're 99% terrible -- all Blair Witch and/or Paranormal Activity ripoffs. Once in a while, you find someone who actually cared about what they were doing, like Troll Hunter or Mr. Jones (amazing 2/3 of a movie, acid trip of a third act that tears it all down).
I've seen Raw Force I can tell you it's a campy treat. I bet it ends up being BotW. Going to watch this now and see if they vote the same. They probably will considering it has Cameron Mitchell in it.
edit Sweet Titties. Angel of Reckoning is free on Amazon Prime at the moment.
Speaking of furniture, I just found out that RLM is not using an official star wars chair for everyone to sit on in nerd crew. Hopefully they'll use it the next episode.
On Android, YouTube Vanced is a modded APK without ads and additional features. On iOS, idk but you can block all ads on all devices on your network with pi-hole though you need a Raspberry Pi and some patience if you don't already know how to use one.
They've got some sort of agreement with Blip.tv, which is a site that doesn't just publish any video but makes deals with content creators. I don't have any more specific on that though, like how much that would be compared to a YouTube deal. They also have a Patreon, which gets them more than $10000 per month. They sell merchandise, and I'm sure they get some sort of income as a film production company, though again I haven't got a clue what they make (besides Space Cop, which they've been working on for a long time) and how they exactly finance making that, if that's all supported by the other things they do.
The original Star Wars was also very influenced by Kurosawa.
>And ask George Lucas who was so greatly influenced by Japanese master Akira Kurosawa that he lifted large chunks of his Hidden Fortress for Star Wars. ... Obi-Wan Kenobi's robes look like something that Toshio Mifune might wear in one of Kurosawa's epics. Lucas even uses Kurosawa's trademark screen wipe.
You can particularly see it in the framing and actor placement/movements of conversations and wide landscape shots in the first movie, as well as the swordfighting scenes. It's why the movie has a certain kind of 'classic' feel to it. For all the gruff he deservedly gets in his later years, Lucas was a real filmmaker at one point and studied the classics. American Graffiti is pretty good.
This kind of reinforces the common RLM talking point of how nobody's doing anything new with star wars, just recycling the old stuff. I think there are entertaining ways to do that, which Mandalorian seems to do, but it's just good recycling.

I mean, well done to that guy for making $7.58/month with taking someone elses work and just throwing a slideshow with a weird unrelated socio-political agenda over it.
I wonder what that kid who played Flyin' Ryan is up to.
Probably in a ditch somewhere.
Edit: A quick google search show's that he's worked as a grip on some films. The sky's the limit!

Fine literature? Epic poetry? Pshaw, I say.
My vote, of course, is for Chuck Tingle’s My Ass Is Haunted By The Gay Unicorn Colonel, or perhaps his magnum opus Slammed In The Butt By My Handsome Laundry Detergent Pod, or, really, any of the other fine Tingle titles only available on Amazon.com.
The title Sony Execs came up with for the movie, "Aloha State," was a far superior title to "Hawaii" or "Aloha" but I doubt it couldn't have saved this expensive mess:
https://wikileaks.org/sony/emails/emailid/58732
>In our 9am meeting, we came up with what we think is a great title for Cameron's movie:
>ALOHA STATE
>It accomplishes a few things: the most obvious is that it represents Hawaii without having to use Hawaii in the title, it is metaphorical for a state of mind and the spirit of the island and finally it means both coming and going, just like our characters in the film.
>We wanted to run it by you first before we put it out to filmmakers.
>We hope you like it too.
Cameron vetoed the idea:
https://wikileaks.org/sony/emails/emailid/60402
>Cameron doesn't like Aloha State . It references Garden State to him . I know we can all talk to him , but in the meantime we should do the 5/29 move today .
Bad move IMO.
As a shout-out, you can make shit like this with the free, browser-based "photoshop," Pixlr.

Youtube-dl is free and open source. It's command-line based, but easy to use - just its name, a space, and then the URL of the video you want. There's more options if you want to download it as an MP3 or a particular video codec, but you don't have to use them.
Obviously only use it for your own videos on YouTube/Spotify/Vimeo/Reddit etc; not for this one.
Yeah prime video has a ton of BOTW movies on it. I think Terror in Beverly Hills and Uninvited are also on there!
ALSO speaking of Blind Fury, I actually just ordered a copy of that movie yesterday! It got reissued a few months ago with a cool VHS styled slip cover. Looking forward to watching it for the first time!
It does say "Weird Crushes" -- the other two are John Travolta and Jeff Goldblum. Here's the game.. Apparently there's also an Adam Sandler card. There's also a British edition with only British celebrities, including Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan, Richard Ayoade, and the current prime minister.
The stats really short-sell Mr. McCulkin, if you ask me:
"Pale-faced oddity, ex-rockstar and former child actor, Culkin is multitalented. And you know he'll keep you safe from intruders. In fact, lots of us would love to be Home Alone with Big Mac."
Got it! Had to start a whole nother MEGA account. Link
~~Sorry, but it seems that with Blip down, there's no way for you to watch it right now. I suppose I could upload it to MEGA for you to download though.~~

Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Utoya Island, here are some Trailers
Alright, I got the link working, I think, so click here to get the baby's day out review.

This is the closest I can find style wise, but I think there are better designed pieces for cheaper on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Levis-Washed-Cotton-Pocket-Military/dp/B075DKBK9Y/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1541633497&sr=8-8&keywords=military+trucker+jacket
The ending to Krampus (2015), particularly the "trapped in snow globe hell" interpretation, drives me insane. I really wish the director Michael Dougherty made it less ambiguous and more like he intended from the comic he wrote.
I don't think it's fair to call that cherry picking when 3 of the titles on that list are in the top 10 of highest-grossing films from 07, and it doesn't even include Transformers. Not sure how you'd like anyone to present you with a counterargument to something that you "feel", but I'd assert that 2016 has had a decent run so far, and 2015 was particularly strong.
Meet the Deedles. All I remember is the name and the poster. I couldn't tell you a damn thing about the movie itself.
Johnny Mnemonic. I know I've seen it. I know Keanu is in it. And I think Ice-T is in it. Couldn't tell ya anything else.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called I Know Who Killed Me, here are some Trailers
Jeez, ok.
The average time to complete the game is 22 hours(http://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=9997), while the amount of cut-scenes is under 3 hours(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOtcWkbn6qU). This means that there is (on average) over 15 hours of game-play. The game incorporates various genres, such as stealth, action, adventure, shooters and even elements of RPG. It is up to the player to choose what actions they will take to advance through the game. Do I try to sneak past or do I go in guns blazing? Do I upgrade pistols or do I wait and upgrade better weapons? Do I want to add more health to the character or improve their aim? There is no one, single path that you are forced to go down through the story.
Now that I have gone over this, I'm going to ask (for the third time) for you to explain how The Last of Us is a movie.
Yes. I absolutely loved that movie.
I hope You are not trying to make a point that I did not liked Dunkirk because there was not enough action... Movie don't need action at all to be good. I think action and sound was ok but movie had many other problems I described.
Some of fav movies don't have action at all but Fury Road was pure masterpiece of cinema when it comes to action.
You can check here. I scored 916 movies on this website... But some I've seen long time ago and many scores probably would change now... so don't take it too seriously lol http://www.filmweb.pl/user/HiCZoK/films
Tomorrow night the guys at /r/badmovies is going to run a mini marathon of movies.
Tonight there might be another edition of "The Man Hole" , a session of bad movie clips, bad commercials and torture based on the Wheel of the Worst.
You can use something like OnlineVideoConverter to download YouTube videos to .mp3 format. But that will download the entire audio, so you'll either have to find a short Rich sample on YouTube, or use something like Audacity to cut the entire audio yourself.
From the Sony leaks:

>with that in mind, you have to stop beating up Hannah. She's tough and can take it, but she's stretched way too thin. She's desperate to please you and when she gets insecure that's when it becomes about her ego and self-preservation.On Candyland, she was just servicing Adam. You knew from when Venit called you last week and what I told you that it was all a zhiv, but Sandler is so on guard for it, there was no chance to pull that off. You said yourself that Adam was gonna be angry and you said you didn't care you couldn't fix what was really bothering him that he isn't the guy he once was and nobody can make that better for him. But of course knowing that theoretically is so much harder than dealing with him in a room full of people.
Are you wanting free recommendations on Amazon Prime? I don't have the service, but I recommend everyone watch the 70s animated classic Fantastic Planet.

If you don't know about Adywan, he's a fan-editor who made major waves with a fantastic quality home brewed special edition of his own after being disappointed with the 1997 releases. The depth and attention to detail was phenomenal: here's an album going over some of the improvements.
And now after ~10 years of work he's released Empire Strikes Back Revisited.
I recommend finding a list of movies you want to see and then use justwatch.com to find out where to watch them. Now is the best time for streaming channels too. HBO is free for this month for select titles. CBS All Access has a 60 day promotion. There are so many, I've forgotten them.
Having said that, Amazon Prime has a lot of BOTW garbage (oh hai Verotika). I'm not into horror, but considering 7 out of every 10 horror movie is typically bottom of the barrel garbage, I have to imagine Shudder is the most bang for your buck.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Homie Alone, here are some Trailers
Bit late, but if you want to download it and don't want to go a porn site, you can get it here. I had it downloaded and there was a thread a few days ago asking the same question so I uploaded it.
Then again, you might not want to, since technically it could be considered piracy of their review, I guess, but I don't think RLM is getting any ad revenue from watching it on a porn site either.
Fungicide, from the guy who made suburban sasquatch. A giant mushroom picks up a prostitute and kills her for gods sake. Also a character suffers from "spontaneous combustion" and gets an arc for this.
Anything by the director known as Arizal. He makes a lot of bonkers action films, made in indonesia where stuntman grow on trees so a lot of them get seriously injured.
Also here's a great list of stupid action movies: https://letterboxd.com/sternwise/list/krazy-action-insanity/
They're not all god, in fact most are probably pretty shitty, but it's fun to pick something out, I found a few gems in there. Namely Mafia Vs Ninja, Phantom Raiders (1988), Furious (1984), Twin Dragon Encounter and Dragon Hunt, Blood Street (Starring Leo Fucking Fong), and every Godfrey Ho movie.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Los violadores, here's some Trailers
uBlock origin blocks basically everything. For anything it doesn't get there is EFF's Privacy Badger. That mix will even bypass all but the most aggressive paywalls.
there's probably an easier and/or better way, but I recorded my screen while watching the YouTube video, cropped and trimmed it with Google Photos (android phone), then applied the meme format with Video & GIF Memes app that I downloaded from the Play store. I tried to improve the quality by downloading the video from YouTube but it turned out worse and choppy. At least what I ended up with is smooth and small size. I hope it helps 🙂
I believe this is the DVD set RLM had:
12 movies for $6.99. That's value!
My Best Friend Is A Vampire / Repossessed / Slaughter High / Silent Night, Deadly Night 3 (4-Film Collection) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004AC6PYY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_MnocGbQZ41796?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I actually discovered Adam (the YMS guy) before I found RLM. Adam's YMS videos are his "Plinkett Reviews". I agree that Adam dives into plot inconsistencies a little too much but he does offer good critique of those films and likes to dive into production issues of movies. Most notably, he deconstructs the Walking Dead, After ~~Earth~~ Birth, and World War Z and the Cool Cat review. Interestingly, the Cool Cat Review has lead to some drama with the film maker as he went on a "fair use tirade which Adam shut down in detail
The strength of Adam's channel comes from the smaller films that he reviews and the modest frequency at which he uploads. By no means is he a clickbait channel (ahem WatchMojo, Screen Junkies, Cinemasins ahem), he reviews popular movies as well as smaller indie films. He is a Vancouverite and I have chatted with him once or twice and he actually responds to you if you message him. A lot of people criticize him for copying RLM but he has really grown into his own style and his own sense of humor. As mentioned above, his reviews center around plot inconsistencies but he points out how they make the film weaker and how they fail to expand on certain characters/story arcs. His Synecdoche New York review is incredible and does an excellent job at going in depth with the film and I suggest that you all give it a look once you watch the movie (which is on sale for 6 bucks on amazon).
All in all, Adam's scope is different than RLM's, he genuinely cares about his work and his fans.

You can get a dvd for $18 plus tax. Magnolia/Magnet printed too many of them back in the day, they never really quite caught on like the individual dvds did. So new copies are still around even though the dvds were printed years ago.
And people who think Americans don't watch foreign films apparently slept through the 00s. There was a huge boom in demand for foreign genre titles and a ton of specialty distributors that sprouted up to meet it. Streaming and piracy killed the distribution of foreign titles in the US. The margins became not worth it so we don't get as much stuff promoted here as we used to. Netflix and Amazon can only buy up so many titles for streaming...
I'm not sure if there's any benefit to the Elgato but you can buy even cheaper A/V to USB converters and use free software like OBS to make digital backups too. This is the one I bought years ago for $20. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M7T8T1E/
ah so it was the thrawn trilogy,

BTW I have a TPM subtitle that I got from someone on the RLM forums, here it is.
Its in ASS format :)

Someone should make parody bumper stickers like this in the style of those old W ones. They’d clean up. Send me a percentage as a thank you.
It's also a tacit acknowledgement that they have to come up with some sort of semi-scientific justification for Christianity due to scientific advancement of the past ~100 years or so (the power of prayer seems less potent when you have vaccines, chemotherapy, and antibiotics, for instance). So you have yahoos like these guys arguing that the laws of thermodynamics prove the existence of god (not sure if this book does it specifically, but one of the authors lectures about it).
I’m not going to explain internet memes that go over your head to you. Who are ya Rich Evans?

Oddly enough, I'm pretty sure I can answer that. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but a couple years ago I recognized one of the remotes they had on the coffee table while they were watching a movie. It's this VCR/DVD combo.
My wife and I bought that same deck about 10 years ago to digitize some of her family's old home movies for a relative. It allows you to one-touch copy a VHS tape to DVD while you're watching it, so I assume they record the BOTW to DVD while they are screening it. Probably one of the reasons they never seem to rewind things while they are watching.
>[...] some shit called Moviesphere
Yeah I can't even find a website for them other than a Facebook business page. Seems it's only integrated with Amazon Prime add-ons and a Roku Channel. Link for anyone who cares:

Doesn't seem to be that lost of a movie if you're willing to sail the high seas though. There are full blu-ray remux copies and multiple groups have 1080p encodes everywhere. Some just went up a few months ago.
This set has repeatedly shown up in my Amazon recommended list over the past few months
I finally understand what genre it falls under.

Carmilla is in the public domain, so you can read it for free online or listen to the audio version from LibriVox.
I haven't seen it and probably won't. I'm not a big horror fan. Still, I'm mildly curious. Everyone I know who saw it said they were disappointed. Some really hated it. The fact that it was praised by critics but polarized audiences does intrigue me. But from what I've heard about its themes, it doesn't sound like something that's my cup of tea.
Posted my review on Letterboxd so people don't get spoiled if they look at my comment history: https://letterboxd.com/amirmoosavi/film/avengers-infinity-war/
tl;dr: I liked it enough, but some stuff would have worked better if it had been set up in earlier films instead of trying to make us accept it in an already crammed film. That it's not terrible considering all the plot threads it has to weave together is testament to the hard work of the writers, directors, and everyone else involved. Not feeling any urge to rewatch it.
Some of my favorite movies are pretty artsy:

A few that aren't on that list: Holy Motors, Spring Breakers, The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

Nothing, I'm anticipating absolutely nothing. I was looking forward to the HBO adaptation of Ben Winter's "The Last Policeman", but it sounds like they're rewiring the premise into a forgettable, short-lived mess.
If you're interested in just general movie recs from a fellow HitB lover, this is my ongoing list of movies I find fantastic. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure Jay agrees with me on Green Room, Blue Ruin, Swiss Army Man and I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. So check those out at the least.
I've been trying to find out where to watch it....and I JUST DISCOVERED AS I WROTE THIS POST TO YOU:
I am not trying to trick people it is just a filter. I know it’s not renaissance style 100 percent but this just looks good and I like it. This is what I used https://dreamscopeapp.com/editor. Also thanks for the awards!
This list is the only best movies list that has any merit as only “top” directors and critics have voted on it including Michael Haneke, Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino and Roger Ebert.
Just as a random reminder...
First Friday of every month is "The Wheel of Despair" at The Manhole - a Cytube channel where lovers of random videos and bad movies meet and chat, a virtual sausage fest with awkward and odd videos are picked from the titular Wheel of Despair and we're forced to watch.
It starts at 10pm EST, be there or don't, it's fine.
I don't really have a favourite, I like them all quite a lot. I nearly every night put an episode on to fall asleep to. I use this https://cytu.be/r/HalfInTheBag or this https://cytu.be/r/RedLetterMedia
I just watched Jedi today, I really hate that movie though.. so I was just mostly listening to RLM
Edit: btw if you are such a binger, I suggest you join my room, I guarantee I've watched BotW more times than you lol, we're streaming every single one on a loop for at least half a year now.

Please say "MirrorMachine" in the chat if you join, so I'll know you was there.
"Robot in the Family", "Low Blow", and "Blood Debts" are on YouTube.
There is an app on Roku called Tubi (free with ads) that has "Partners", "The Last Vampire on Earth", "The Amazing Bulk", "Suburban Sasquatch", "Killing American Style", "Deathstalker," "Deathstalker II", "Petey Wheatstraw", "Space Raiders", "Slaughter High", "Hollywood Cop", "Project Metal Beast: DNA Overload", and "Shark Exorcist",
A New Hope deliberately used an incredibly basic plot, the hero's journey. George Lucas has talked about that a lot in interviews and documentaries. It's even cited as an example on the Wikipedia page for the monomyth:
> tell us the most scathing review you’ve seen too
My favorite is Roger Ebert's review of North:
>I hated this movie. Hated hated hated hated hated this movie. Hated it. Hated every simpering stupid vacant audience-insulting moment of it. Hated the sensibility that thought anyone would like it. Hated the implied insult to the audience by its belief that anyone would be entertained by it.
Here's the whole review. There's a book that is a collection of his most scathing review that is pretty entertaining.
I don't know if you happen to have a Chromecast or not, but you can plop the video file into https://dabble.me/cast and cast it. It's a bit of work to find the video file, but you'll see it load in developer tools under the network tab.
Definitely helps. A brief look at mics, would something like this be effective enough?
Yeah, I had just added an edit about how this isn't your typical sponsorship deal.
Not that I begrudge other channels for "selling out" as long as they basically remain honest. Making anything worthwhile usually means putting a lot of work in, and most people can't afford to work for free, and monetizing even good work isn't always easy. Doing ad reads for Audible or NordVPN seems like an acceptable compromise to me, but it's of course refreshing when channels don't dilute the purpose of their content with stuff like that.
Something like Mark Ruffalo in a green screen suit in the middle of a big Marvel action scene, as though they had forgotten to add digital effects to the scene and released it to theatres. Ruffalo could be yelling and pulling hulk mad faces.

> A shame we'll probably never see it (or True Lies) on blu-ray.
I'm behind the times on Blu-ray releases (I used to follow new releases back in 2007-2010), but I'm honestly surprised neither movie has been released on that format. Especially an effects-driven movie like The Abyss.
A quick Google search says that True Lies was only released on Blu-ray in Spain. Yet another great example of the infinite wonders of pre-Internet licensing agreements being the sole gatekeeper to multimedia releases.
