We haven't had the baby yet, but for my spouse reading The Birth Partner made a huge difference in their level of engagement and enthusiasm for birth planning. It's completely gender neutral and reinforces the idea that your support person during labour and delivery (your wife, sounds like!) can have many active tasks, responsibilities and roles to take on at each stage.
Truly unnecessary. If you want something that doesn’t have the tiny tip where a little sperm can get stuck (an issue for frozen vials or for fresh with low volume) look for a lube applicator: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FKDFPVK/

I don’t have older kids, our baby is only 5 months old, but we are in the same boat. I was recently recommended what makes a baby and I love the book so much. It also comes with a guide for parents on how to explain or approach the language used in it. From everyone I have talked to that has been donor conceived etc the consensus seems to be openness, honesty, and following the lead of your child… this book (for me anyway) feels like a good support in that way!

That's too bad about Target! I've heard good things from Old Navy though. H&M also has a good online maternity section (including to the knee shorts!). Have you tried Amazon? I'm going to be super pregnant all summer, so I mostly bought so flowy dresses because it gets SO HOT here and I am certain I won't want any kind of pants. I did, however, get these capris and they are super comfy!
Are you taking your temperature to confirm ovulation? A positive opk doesn't guarantee ovulation. Seeing your temp charts could help save $$ before going to the RE for blood tests to confirm ovulation. You can get one on Amazon for about $8. I like the Mabis that saves your temp until you take a new one. But make sure if you order one you get one. BBT are a common scam on Amazon. If you get a different brand than you bought, report it and Amazon will send you a new one. We did ICI in March and had our healthy baby boy Dec. 7.
Here’s what we did: found a super good friend we felt really comfortable with, tracked her ovulation cycle, ordered needleless syringes and preseed lube from Amazon, and tried as much as possible during her ovulation cycle.
The cliff notes: we tried our best under the circumstances to arouse her beforehand; he orgasmed into a non-spermicidal condom; I inserted the preseed lube into her; I used the syringe to then immediately plunge the ejaculate out of the condom and into her, as quickly as possible, and trying not to expose it to air; then we tried our best for her to orgasm; then she sat with her legs up while baby daddy and I had some uncomfortable cups of tea in the kitchen.
We seriously tried everyday for like five days, and sometimes twice a day (baby momma and baby daddy are troopers). We know we are lucky and it’s unusual to have success with the first try, but it did work! Let me know if you have any more questions. Below are links for the exact materials we used. I’m sure you can buy smaller amounts of the syringes elsewhere, but at the time of purchase we weren’t feeling optimistic.
Good luck!

I have one of those 5 year "one line a day" journals. I started Jan 1 (we had our first IUI Jan 5), so I could keep track of everything and just regular daily life. I like it because it has everything at a glance so you can see what you were doing on that day during the previous years. I've intermittently tried to journal throughout my life and have trouble sticking with it long term. Because this only has space for a few sentences, I have kept with it longer than any of my prior journaling endeavors!
