Hey Gary, I may consider removing some more males then as I want my colony to flourish as efficiently as possible.
/u/MrsReticent explained to me how to sex the nymphs the females generally have wider bodies however to confirm the sex you must turn it belly up and the final band on a female's belly is a lot bigger (about twice the size of a males).

It's a tad on the pricey side but I use this for my bin

I have seen people use them but I don’t trust them personally because of possible additives and dyes. This is what I normally use. It will likely be fine. I would monitor humidity and make sure food gets pulled out within a day until you know what you're dealing with exactly, humidity wise.
I drilled a hole just large enough to fit the probe on this thermostat and secured it with tape. Then I temporarily monitored humidity by dropping a humidity probe and just putting the lid over the cord. Keep in mind I have a bin with gaskets and locking handles so I wasn't worried about little roaches crawling out via the cord. I can"t tell if yours has gaskets or not.
Since no one answered i went on another hunt and found people who were using this..

The gestation period with hissers is about two months but hisser females can control this process and essentially hold onto their ootheca for years if they feel that conditions are not right.
(The only female I personally monitored gave litters exactly four months apart.)
Her bin sounds fine so I don't think you need to worry about too much. You can also give them fresh fruits like oranges, apples, peaches and melon that are said to be helpful in convincing hisser females to release their young.
Funny detail is that the roach bible claims rose leaves are helpful also so I guess you can get her flowers too. 😅
If I remember right, it's not in print or something? You'll have to keep an eye out for it, I was lucky and get mine here on Amazon about 5-6 months ago for $30 or less. Good luck!
Sir? How professional :)
Doesn't matter where, however I assume keeping it on the bottom will keep the frass dry especially if you live in a moderate to very humid climate. It's very dry year round where I live, which might be important for you, I assume you're from Sweden? Also, I despise the "sticky" heat mats. I have one for my california kingsnake and it kept unsticking from the bottom, so I made a U-shaped wooden frame to keep it pressed against the bottom of the glass. I don't use a "reptile" heat mat for my dubias. I use one meant for people that are wrapped in felt, since they're cheaper and larger. You can get them on amazon for about $15 USD (about 120 krona) and you can probably get one from most department stores. Hope this helps!
Hi,
This seller sells one here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J21MOI4?m=A9JEQYYUIFP2F&ref_=v_sp_detail_page and a pair here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GVMO89A?m=A9JEQYYUIFP2F&ref_=v_sp_detail_page
If two males won't be good together, then I would prefer just one. I def do not want to start a colony/have them breed, I literally just want one lol.
Do you have any that are on the smaller size?
