> For example, right now it is stuck hanging on the USB Keypad Mode screen after unplugging it from my computer. I'm guessing I'll have to wait until the battery dies and I can reboot it and recharge it...
Rebooting a locked iPod is easy. See here:

This uses a hardware reset circuit and should always work unless the buttons are broken.
This is the exact housing the Hifi Walker H2 uses. Anyone know if the firmware is the same, and if Rockbox is then compatible with the Hifi Walker H2? I'm guessing yes since it specifically mentions clones.
Edit: Answered my own question, the Rockbox website confirms this! This might be the one thing that could make a Hifi Walker H2 actually functional. Now if I only remembered enough about Rockbox and manual installation to be confident in trying it out...
I don't have a car yet, but I'm just curious to see if using a Rockbox iPod Classic 6G with that plugged in could be capable of displaying name of song and artist. However, I do have this: https://www.amazon.com/Transmitter-Adapter-Built-iPhone-Players/dp/B076X3GSMH/ref=sr\_1\_8?keywords=3.5mm+jack+fm+transmitter&qid=1661571540&sr=8-8
Does you car support Bluetooth? I would recommend a Bluetooth adapter for the headphone port over the FM transmitter.
I use a TaoTronics Bluetooth adapter I bought off Amazon for $25 to connect to devices wirelessly (this specific model doesn't seem to be available anymore - bought mine in 2019).
Something similar to this - pretty much the same specs as the one I have:
Read the reviews the best one. I spent a week going through all the offerings before deciding on the one I wanted.
Good luck!
I'm currently considering getting a Surfans F20. "Supports up to 256GB" seems like a bit of a bummer (considering the SDXC spec goes to 2TB) but honestly I'm sure I could live with it if the player is otherwise good.
Im not sure i understand what you mean. Sansa Fuze+ supports rockbox as well, take a look here: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/TargetStatus. I have a friend who have been using it too, I thought it worked very nicely, although the touch interface is a little different.
Got the clip. But nothing but bugs with FLAC though. Wish I had checked the outstanding bug reports before I purchased it: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/12755 FS#12755 : Sansa Clip Zip has too many problems with ... - Rockbox
Yes. According to the Sansa Rockbox manual, you can use the Rockbox Utility to automatically restore your Sansa.
If you can provide a some information about the state of Rockbox and the manual installation process, I'll give it a go. Is Rockbox installed as a secondary OS on these devices, or does it replace the original FW? Is the manual installation process relatively straightforward? (Where do I even go to find the installation process since the information on this page is very limited?)

the connections are a breeze after the first try.The ribbon cables will magically slide in. If you don't already, get some proper opening tools like this. I'd also get a good spudger for clicking down the tab for the ribbon connector.
Best of luck!

Not a recommendation, but it seems in production and has a mostly(?) working port
